This was going to be another long one so we split it into 2 parts
Part one, we are incredibly fortunate to be speaking with John Chatterton as he has some amazing stories to tell and wont be doing many podcasts after this so get the stories straight from John himself
This was originally a podcast just about Titanic and how Johns self funded trip made it from a general discussion to a proper expedition and how their findings by chance changed the thought process and theories about how Titanic sank!
We had such a good chat with John that we had to share these stories about unusual diving probabilities, like the one mentioned above, we start off with a bit about peer pressure and how even John with his vast experience will happily call it if he isn’t feeling it! A good lesson for all for sure!
The probabilities he chats about are like, finding rubies and getting the rights to a certain wreck from a judge who's father was on it many years earlier!
John also talks about his early days and diving on air to 250ft+ on the Andrea Doria, Lusitania and Britannic, The sister ship of Titanic, plus German UBoats, then his progression to Nitrox mixed gases and then some of the first and sometimes reliable Rebreathers
