It's beyond me that they keep using human shields after 20+ years of it not working. Human shields only work with one country and one country only, America. Because even if they don't care about civilians they still care about their image
Let's not be niave! Civilians get killed in conflict, but the stats here are telling. The number of aid workers and journalists shot is unheard of. Demolishing universities, schools and hospitals is not about eradicating Hamas, it is about ethnic cleansing. Telling the civilian population to upsticks and move to the other end of Gaza does not justify pancaking apartment blocks. Imagine claiming that giving a hospital notice to vacate is kind or reasonable behaviour. Meanwhile Nethenyahu's Hamas Recruitment Campaign continues. Sorry, Bennett is a Hasbara propagandist. There is no independent verification of the alleged atrocities of rape and infanticide on the 7th Oct. Please research the Isreali organisations that where first on the ground after the Isreali gunships ceased.
Yea. The Hamas fighters are running around carrying babies . Wake up and use your common sense and stop repeating Israeli nonsense propaganda talking points. I know you must have some degree of common sense
Why does the interviewer think that civilians are being killed? How does the interviewer knows who is a terrorist and who is a civilian? Why does the interviewer think that anybody in Gaza is not a terrorist? Why is the interviewer defending the terrorists?
That’s the idea. It works to such an extent that this Ashkenazi polish jew actually “believes” he is an Israelite. Alas, repetition repetition only corrupts the feeble minded.
This could be the motto for the Palestinians and their supporters who seem ignorant of the basic history. I hear and read so much crap that bears no relation to the truth, and almost all of it comes from wannabe terror supporters who think somehow Hamas are “freedom fighters” etc. It’s a joke really.
I ASSUME YOU ARE REFERRING TO THE LIARS AT THE BBC. Here is what the US STATE DEPT THINKS "Why are all the demands on Israel and not Hamas?" - Sec of State Blinken
Bennet, first: "We dont fight civilians in Gaza", and then later: "We fight the civilians because they are supporting hamas". OMG this is so ridiculous...
The Hamas videos itself of the initial 7 Oct. attack show the civilian clothing of that terrorist 'army'. They are indistinguishable from the normal civilians. So obviously when they are killed by the IDF the World accuses the IDF of killing civilians!@robbas_krk1510
There was no hard talk here at all! They both agree that people are asking tough questions, so this show was about giving this guy the opportunity to answer them freely with as much nonsense as he wills. This is more like "Script Talk".
Yes Amelekites were Israels enemies and guess what, that Amelekite spirit is still around and has now manifested itself in guess what ? This is not a flesh and blood war its a spiritual war against powers pricipalities and spiritual wickedness in high places.
He was one of those officials that also repeatedly called Palestinians that we are dealing with human animals! I wish he would have called him out on it!
THIS IS THE GREATEST QUESTION TO END THIS WAR ....IF YOU GIVE THE PALESTINIANS THEIR OWN COUNTRY....WILL THEY HAVE ANY OTHER MOTIVATION LEFT TO CAUSE YOU HARM ?? THE ANSWER IS NO .... WAR IS OVER !!
The real reason is this. Israel said and are actively destroying a two state solution. If everyone in Gaza, Palestine, Israel was giving equal votes. The Jewish people would only have 50% of the vote. This is Northern Ireland 2.0. This is the only way to lasting peace
Yes, their victim-playing and arrogance is shocking. Actually telling the world to ignore the suffering of the Palestinians and to focus only on what’s happened to Israel.
@@juncrow2007 The Palestinians need new leadership (as do the Israelis). There is room for both peoples on the beautiful shore of the Mediterranean. Who is in the way? Radical fundamentalism; both Muslim and Jewish and the craven and greedy politicians who cater to them. Tell me I am wrong!!!!
See above comment. Surrender, disarm , stop tracking your children of an unattainable goal , live under greater Israeli equal governmental representation values whether you think it's colonialist or not &:prosper unequivocally in real time .
@@stevensilver5162 you just described the Palestinians lives for the past 70 years, minus the prosperity and peace. They have been caged, treated like animals. yea I mean its pretty easy to predict something that is so clearly true it simmers your hair. the same statements will be used again and again because our nature is to tell the truth. there is no reason to make up a statement if you don't lie. and anyways I could bet you these interviewers questions which are full of denial of facts were asked throughout this war at least a million times. you better clear your thoughts and know what actually is happening in Isreal in order to even discuss what your lying about. there's an Israeli answering you.
They say civilian homes, schools and hospitals are military camps according to cowards army of isreal going for soft targets women, children and the sick in hospitals.
I am impressed by the mastership of the British host for asking aggressive and topical questions and the intrinsic purpose of the interview: to let the Israeli political giant to destroy the stereotypes and delusions about Israel and reject groundless claims.
There is absolutely nothing hostile about this interview, the interviewer was only asking factual questions and the interview was well conducted. If i was the interviewer it would be a proper hard questioning because that is what it is all about. Hard Talk !
The degree to which Bennett denies Israeli wrongdoing is one example of his close mindedness. Being generally articulate he is not articulate to the point that he disguises his anger and hatred. Shallow and dishonest person, not someone to be trusted in anything.
Funny, I trust him more than you. His tone was not hostile, considering Israel is fighting an entity sworn to its destruction, rather measured. @@thomasmollo3568
Just because they are asking you tough questions does not mean they are hostile to you. If you think he’s hostile then you have not been interview by an honest journalist
The BBC has a history of a more unbiased coverage of the conflict. Unbiased may not be the correct word but they used to cover the Palestinian side much more than other news companies. For some reason, in the past decade and a half, they started to cover the Palestinian side less (they also close their offices in the Middle East). Also, since that dude from Labor - a historic supporter of Palestine - got more votes there was a shift towards Israel to support the narrative that the dude is against Jews. I think that because of those things, Israeli officials got accustomed to being well treated recently. This Hard Talk was pretty mild, actually.
Unfortunately it seems there's this pervasive idea in Israel that if anyone asks them questions about their own words and actions then that person must be a hater who's hateful of Jews. Being held honest to the actions and words seems to be a foreign idea to them.
It’s Bennett who’s unusually hostile and testy. Sacker doing a good job grilling and pinning him down. Israeli politicos and spokespeople always angry and defensive. Feel usual rules of accountability don’t apply to them and hate having to defend the indefensible
@@JNMLondon Bennett/and other Israeli representatives did a series of interviews in the aftermath of the Hamas attack Where the strategy is to attack the interviewer with thinly veiled accusations of anti semitism if you dare to question his truth..He attempts to gaslight Steven when he states that Sackur should accept his narrative as truth..The Israeli Ambassador to the UN uses the same strategy whilst wearing his Holocaust Concentration Camp yellow Star of David daring the UN Congregation to contradict his narrative..Patented victimhood and suffering..Sociopathic behaviour..
While BBC has had its massive failures in the recent reporting, one should also remember what the role of the interviewer has ALWAYS been in BBC HardTalk. They are known for asking challenging and often confrontational questions. The purpose is to elicit responses on complex and contentious issues, pushing the interviewee to provide clarity, defend their positions, and address criticisms. And Bennett did great here.
The interviewer was just asking him questions the whole world wants to know, you may not like it but they are concerned about Israeli exceptionalism vis a vis international law and israels blatant disregard of it. Watch again and this time listen carefully.
Any of the answers given by man from Israel is not genuine, unfortunately him and people like forget what happened to Jewish by the Natzi and doing the same as what the Zatzi did to Palestinian!!! What unfortunate !!! I appreciate and respect Hard talk host,
Gazans kucing under greater Israel rule would unequivocally benefit their future generations unlike anything they could Ever ever get under tyrannical Islam that's more a political party than a religion at this clear present point in time. God bless that they ( Gazans & Arab states ) make the correct decision to abide by the Abraham accords .
You mean real journalism? Bennett is herspeaking on behalf of the Israeli government; you're not supposed to let him come on your platform to spew his propagandized narratives unchallenged
I know . He should just say they'll eliminate the entire population by enticing them to other Arab lands . But oh, they don't want them either. What a Shane gir the Gazans to force Jews to reckon this . Shane in them & Islam

@raymondc6249 exactly my point. Zionists travel from Europe, Russia and America to settle in Palestine and then complain about living near Palestinians
Jews never asked to be displaced by Arabs either in the Jewish ancestral homeland. Btw…70% of Israelis are of Arab, North African, and Ethiopian descent. Just so you know the truth, the Ottoman Empire who were conquerors and colonizers, who exterminated some Jews and expelled others.

"The folks at BBC"..? Boazhorribilis, the ENTIRE WORLD has been seeing it for months now. Israel is the occupier, creating a Gaza Ghetto (what irony!). If I must die, you must live to tell my story to sell my things to buy a piece of cloth and some strings, (make it white with a long tail) so that a child, somewhere in Gaza while looking heaven in the eye awaiting his dad who left in a blaze-- and bid no one farewell not even to his flesh not even to himself-- sees the kite, my kite you made, flying up above and think for a moment an angel is there bringing back love If I must die let it bring hope let it be a tale --Refaat Alareer... one of the countless tens of thousands of "human animals" slaughtered by occupiers.
In a land where whispers stirred the trees, Two neighbors faced, divided by beliefs. One clutched a sword, the other a plow, Each bound to a vow, under the same sunlit bough. The Palestinian's eyes, like embers in the night, Burned with the tales of ancestral fight. Yet in his heart, a quiet voice did rise, Speaking of peace under the same vast skies. The Israeli, weary of the endless fray, Dreamt of a life untouched by disarray. He knew the cost of war, the needless pain, And yearned for harmony to reign. "Choose peace," the wind seemed to implore, "Let go of wrath, and war no more." The Palestinian paused, his sword hand still, Contemplating a future shaped by goodwill. For in the choice between war and peace, Lies a path to healing, a sweet release. A choice not of cowardice, but of might, To embrace the dawn, and end the night. So the Palestinian sheathed his sword with grace, And met his Israeli neighbor in a warm embrace. In choosing peace, they found a greater power, A bond unbroken, a resilient flower. For in the end, we all are but brief, Passing shadows on this earthly reef. But in choosing peace over needless strife, We weave a legacy, a fuller life. So let us choose, before the final hour, The gentle hand over the show of power. For in each heart, the choice does lie, To live in peace, or in hatred die.

The opening quote by Biden: "While we sought justice, we also made mistakes" is a joke. The quote by Naftali Bennett "Gaza is on our doorstep, and Hamas tells us they are going to do it again" is a wake up call. I do recall the number of Iraqi civilian deaths by indiscriminate bombing was very high, but was that used against the U.S. by the BBC's Hard Talk?
They do not show a fraction of what is being done. Israelis are kept in the dark most of all. Journalists who worked at the BBC described crying in the toilets at work because of what they saw happening to Palestinians that wasn't being shown on tv.
I wish American television would allow such a discourse to happen on all topics. Regardless of anybody’s point of you at least points of you can be stated.
The BBC is (and always has been ) in the sights of the Right-wing blanket, paper press though. They see it as an antidote to their crap and want it gone and governments are starting to listen.
Stephen Sakur was somewhat irritable during this exchange. Bennet has a massive burden to carry to represent the Israelis who are perpetually nervous & traumatised with daily rocket fire & enemies on their doorstep.
@@Irin31 Oh pls, don't put words in my mouth and you sound like him, the bald guy 😅 A: We asked the war to stop. B: Ah #£@£&()@+"'? you, you support HAMAS! Like really? That'd be really waste of brainpower.
New converts from Europe are not the descendants of Abrahm. They changed their names to match the Bible. They are terrible liars, provoking war for monetary gains. Holding fundraising all year long is not a divine anointing. God made provisions for a new promise land. Jeremiah 31:31, and Ezekiel 37:14
so he deserves more respect just because he used to lead a country? I can name you at least 30 other former world leaders that don't deserve that respect. why should he?
Sad that the BBC is so eager to please the new Islamist citizens of England. The BBC should be more concerned about the growing Islamization of Britain than about Israel and Gaza.
They've been indiscriminate in their slaughter. The number of journalists, drs, children, etc is unprecedented. Israeli citizens are also protesting bc they want their hostages back before they're killed. This madness is obviously an act of revenge and anyone who calls out the idf is deemed "antisemitic." Hamas was created bc of the apartheid state of Israel and their ability to blockade Gaza, illegally occupy the West Bank and E Jerusalem. They're the only country to make children face military court and hold them in admin det. Does anyone truly believe this is making anyone safer? They've told Gazans to move to "safe areas" and bomb those, as well. The mainstream media in the beginning was disgustingly biased in favor of Israel. Now they are starting to hold the Israeli govt accountable (softly) bc there is no denying what we've all been watching via social media.
It's more about failing to stop it really. America doesn't want it stopped. The Republicans are stopping exports for political reasons but they'll approve them once they are in office. If you imagine two puppets pulling one another's strings, you'll see the American-Israeli relationship.
You expect Israel to give them land for the 4th time after the fact that in the 3 previous times they have turned the land that was given to them into terror bases and used it to attack Israel? Why should they repeat this mistake again?
Who has those resources and why? When you vote in and very obviously support terrorists that spend your money on bombs rather than infrastructure, how can you hold out your empty hand to the party you want to kill? Your suggestions are absurd.
He has to answer the same thing, interview after interview, again and again. Even within the same interview, the host doesn't listen to the answers and attributes to Bennett the opposite of what he said a few seconds before.
I understood him perfectly and the interviewer was very sharp. He didn't miss one word, and, unfortunately, he picked him up on it. Bennett did a good job of maintaining his composure. I'm sure even a truth serum could not make him tell the truth. Perfect recruit for a spy.
Yes but they count the terrorists who are in civilian clothes as victims, makes it sound better to them, why haven't they told us how many combatants have been neutralised
Why are Hamas leadership or representatives not ask to release the hostages? Is it that Hamas should do whatever they want and and Israel is called answer questions?
On 15:14 when you claim the presenter is quoting fringes that do not represent the mainstream, you forget that the Amalek reference was made by your prime minister. And his speech is out there for all to see and hear.
You have no spiritual eyes. Therefore you don't understand. Tell you something, seek Jesus Christ Messiah Light of the world. The way the truth and the Life. Seek Him for your self. Ask Him to open your spiritual eyes.
You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about. It was a *metaphor*. Because as crazy as it is for people like you to believe, Amalek weren’t just some innocent nation either. They were a nation who stabbed Israel in the back when they were at their weakest. So wars against them are considered justified. Does that mean point blank that Israel will treat Palestinians the same way? *No*. Israel will still only kill its enemies- Hamas terrorists. But ofc taking these things out of context is the only way that people like you support themselves, so there’s no way you’re wrong.
The overwhelming mass of the CHRISTIAN World follows the New Testament teachings of CHRIST....NOT the genocidal urging of the prophets of a primitive, vengeful tribal society's OLD TESTAMENT...the PRE-CHRISTIAN history of its brutal conflicts.
BBC have alot to answer for, even for the Horrific things they knew about certain celebrities. now the way they put out about Israel. SHAME on them. praying for IDF all Israel. all jewish folk, n for peaceof Yerushalem. sending many prayers n love, from Scotland
When you look back into history....Israel was once the "small guy" in the middle East. Many years later, Israel is arguably the most powerful nation in the middle East. Its closest enemy, Palestine, has realized it can't bully Israel, so it resorted to "crying wolf" and playing the victim, and yet it was Palestine that immediately rejected the two state solution on the onset and gathered 5 Arab countries to attack Israel when it had barely been a state for 24 hours. The world, as gullible as it always is, buys into the "victim" image projected. Naftali rightly presents what the average Israeli feels everyday.
They created Hamas. They demonised the PLO before, Israel demand a fanatical opposition in order to achieve their goals. They absolutely love Hamas, make no mistake. If Hamas cease to exist, Israel will come under far greater scrutiny from the rest of the world. Scrutiny that’s long overdue in this murderous state.
This BBC guy obviously did not see videos of a palestinian hospital doctor surrendering shirtless and depositing his assault weapon on the ground with others hands up in the air. BBC cannot help embarrassing themselves on air. ❤️🇮🇱
He's right to be rude. This man is just another example of the brass - necked liars that are spokespersons/supporters of this Apartheid, Zionist land thieving Government. It's mind - boggling that he can actually think that the Palestinian people, should be grateful for being given a strip of land (THEIR OWN LAND) by their good-natured carers 😅. Naftali Bennett, I'm quite sure, is well aware of the rape and murder that the indigenous Palestinian people were victims of during the Nakba in 1948. Not to mention the " mowing the lawn" actions that have taken place fairly regularly in the past number if years. Apartheid Israel, doesn't occupy any moral high ground when it comes to thuggish, diabolical behaviour. The International Criminal Court awaits all the members of this Zionist, terrorist Government on charges of War Crimes.Their just-desserts.
Maybe it's because he projects so much hatred..? "rude"...? Seriously? Israel is the occupier, creating a Gaza Ghetto (what irony!). It has now slaughtered close to 10 000 babies, girls and boys.
