Gotta say, that's exactly the correct take though, someone that pissed off a lot of people running for public office. There's two types of people that will do that. People who are gigantic d-bags that no one in their right mind should vote for, and people who are doing or saying something important that a lot of people don't want to hear. Clearly the second type is preferable.
