Holy crap 😮. That kingswood is immaculate! Those are worth so much now back here in Australia, especially one in that condition. Mad respect to your dad. Now we can all see where your passion for cars comes from.
are you on crack? @@vocalthrower448 There has been multiple full evo driveline swapped ones sell for a fraction of what you think these are worth after having more than what you said spent on them
You can either go “Full Send” on the Evo 456 Conversion, or just keep it simple by just doing the body, 4G93T swap (1.8 Turbo) and keeping it FWD. Either or, it will be a good build and I can’t wait to witness it.
As a Puerto Rican who moved in the 13 years ago . I use to see these everywhere around the island and never appreciated them as a kid . But omg I wish I had one 😂 they aged well and you don’t see those on the streets here
Thank you to your Dad for preserving a piece of Australian history. I doubt there is one here in that good of a condition. What an amazing thing for him to do.
In Australia they were known as a CE2 Lancer. Love it man. Do the evo swap man evo v front bar and wing. Any other Australians out there will understand when i say "Not The Kingswood"
Stumbled upon your channel randomly. I'm excited to be watching your stuff! My uncle used to own an Evo 9 and your content resonates with me because of the memories we share with that car.
Que viva 🇵🇷!!! Me recuerdo en Puerto Rico muchos de esos tecnicas con los body kits de los evolution y se ven brutal papá!!! Dale empieza el proyecto 😁👍✌️
Great to see people share videos on such cars, I could never get to a LHD Mitsubishi Mirage(the name I know of, of this Technica) Coupe let alone have a 1.8 l engine in it. One of my dreams being preserved by somebody who really appreciates cars and has a Dad that takes the best care of his own goodies. This really got me crying a lil over this wholesomeness :')
Love this!! Long Live the CSM! The Trunk is DOPE. No need to put a wing imo, these cars are so unappreciated, but us few CSM enthusiasts keep these cars alive. So stoked you’re gonna build this car. I have a 4G Mirage ES Coupe, I am building as well. Can’t wait to see more about this little CSM.
Love the project I have one myself 2000 1.8L Different engine combinations all motor With a short shift transmission Ralliart pulling up 140h it It may be not been much, but remember this is a lightweight platform and believe me there are good. I'm from PR and the tecnica our Teko is the Pocket rocket from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷. 3.8 v6, 2.4, 2.0 and 1.8 Different combinations Choose your poison my friend.
oh man, my friend had two of these old lancers back when we were in highschool (mid 2000's) one was a lancer, the other was an eagle summit. We CONSTANTLY talked about dreams of turning one into an evo.
Wow that's nostalgic. Back when I was in college I had a Honda ej sedan in Philippines. Everyday I drove 2hours going to school, every car I race, but this only car beat my ass 😂😂😂😂
Could tell from the thumbnail immediately it was a 2 door mirage, we call them lancers over in Australia, only the hatches were called mirages, cool to see one being built on RU-vid over in the states
Man Im HAPPY to see a tecnica from Puerto Rico in the US and especially a latino owning it, here in Puerto Rico these cars are very popular for racing and building. Nowadays a lot of people in here are doing a lot of engine swaps with these cars, our people use the mivec v6 from the 2005 eclipse these cars rips the streets with that engine LOVE FROM PR❤
An old Lancer waiting to be converted into an Evo, an old Jag, and a Kingswood, all in the same video... I never thought I was really into any of these cars, but they all look beautiful for very different reasons...
I own the hatchback version of this car imported from japan and called Mirage, mine is a 1996 version and it was a 1.6 Mivec engine and now I did add an evo engine. It's a hell of a perfect toy
BRO OKAY … I saw a handful of these in Orlando when I took a drive down there and was always curious what I was looking and wanted one and now knowing what this is 😅 I definitely want one
As someone with two 91 Galant VR4s, a 95 Mighty Max, a 99 Eclipse Spyder, a 99 Mirage sedan, and a 00 Mirage coupe....I must subscribe. Saw the red 2 door Evo in person at, I think, MOD 2017...
Since you mentioned Venezuela, I'm from there and these thing could be seen very often in the early 2000s, not so much nowadays but they were sold as the mitsubishi mirage (oer maybe a variation of the tecnica? it does not have the same tail lights), always thought they looked really good, I have a soft spot for these generation of lancer, those big ass stop lights simply activate neurons for me. Now that I remember, there was one person in Venezuela that did the swap you want to do but I do not know the name, i just simply saw an 4G63/awd swapped Mirage for sale for quite a hefty price and looked properly done, I believe it was orange at the time, around 2012-2015.
My very first car was a 2001 Mirage. It was a little 4 door automatic but seeing this Technica brings me right back to it. If I knew then what I know now I would have kept her and done her up nice and proper.
What an interesting car that you just don’t ever see and that Evo swap into your Technica would be really dope 🔥also your dads Holden Kingswood looks absolutely mint
As soon as I saw the Technica badge I knew it was a Puerto Rican owner. lol Puerto Rican cars are USDM vehicles with weird trim packages . The LS/Technica trim came with the 1.8L SOHC 4G93 engine and the lower trim specs came with the 1.5L SOHC 4G15 engine. In the US the 1.8L was optional in all trim levels and the LS trim did not have sideskirts, front valance/lip or aluminum wheels. I had a 94 LS Coupe in Cancun Green that was handed to me. Was bought new in October 1993 and put over 250K miles in over a decade of ownership.
I’m pretty sure that is a Mitsubishi Mirage Technica edition. It’s missing the Mirage badges and the rear spoilers. It’s basically and appearance package for the Mirage. People in PR called it a “Tecnica” because that’s what you see in the door but that is Mirage.
Tecnica desde que te montas hasta que te bajas te deja con una sonrisa, those 1.8l are fun fun PR gem good to see you preserve that beauty, got a new sub here from Aguada/Orlando🇵🇷
I have a CJ chasis (same as that mirage two door), swapped in an evo 6 front end, kits, and power train. Cn9a-cp9a body kits will fit, with a lot of modifications and cutting
In Malaysia we got that similar engine in one of the malaysian national car which is Proton Waja. i think the code is 4G18 if not mistaken.but mostly Malaysian until today still playing with the 4G series engin start from 4G15, 4G18, 4G92 & 4G93 because this lineup are cheaper than 4G63.
plenty of honda content. I have been into hondas for the past 15 years and I remember going to Puerto Rico as a teen and my cousins talking about technicas, we would argue back n forth on which were cooler or faster. I'm 35 now and haven't seen 1 build in the US market that was a real technica build. I say build the technica then build the RSX and do like a mighty car mods honda vs technica race series where you do quarter mile, road course and whatever else you think is fun. first time on your channel and this definitely pulled me in, subbing right after this comment
Beautiful survivor car. You should keep it the way it is , and just buy a mirage. Long time ago i seen one done in nj and it was crazy fast and really good looking
