Love it ! The biggest problem in Germany is to find Bankline 😐 its really exotic here . Instead of you copper joint you can use your spoon 😉 As always with all the best from Germania Jürgen
@@je710817 That might be a possibility. But I think that bankline is also very overhyped. Here we have a boat line made of Polypropylene... its called " Reepschnur ". I think she will do the Job too. Thank you for your tip !
i did a similar thing to a cheep 3x3 lightweight tarp purchased on ebay new £15 approx. it only had 6 tabs so i went the whole hog with it , it now has 4 on each side as well as loops down the ridge line and 1 on each half center to pull the middle out if need be. a lot cheaper than purchasing a branded tarp but it did take a while and the new threads need water proofing to stop leakages . i use white spirit mixed with clear silicone sealant and brush it on ;o)
Good stuff Tank 👏 Another 2 simple ,but great ideas ! Will be using them ! Then I will love my Dutch poncho even more 😊. That T junction tip is neat , far better than using an old soup spoon! Thumbs up Cheers Adam !
Hey, I can see why you like the Dutch Army Poncho :-) It´s for the DPM Camo! Yes, the missing center eyelet is a bit of a downside, but maybe the Dutch Army has a reason for this?? The belonging poncho liner has accordingly tie outs. Thanks for showing! Cheers
I use the same system - but this has reminded me - thanks tank - I've got to get some more shock cord and locks for a new tarp I got a while back. I have a couple of ponchos, but the goretex type. I like the T pipe connector trick, I was using an old 35mm film cannister when i remembered it. Cheers Lee, diolch.
My mum was a machinist And a meter is from right arm pit to left finger tips. Sorry but you measured a yard from chest to finger tips and soldiers working yards so good job. And if you don't believe me get a tape measure sorry bud great video
ive got short limbs, its a mtr from sternum to outstretched hand, of course it varies but it dosnt really make a difference, nice one wildman, always good seeing you interact here...ppl can learn a lot from you.
@@outsidertank Swansea and it was sunny most of the weekend with the odd shower. - I want to get back asap and do a bit of wild camping. can you recommend somewhere I can get the train too and walk off into the hills?
Hey lee hows the channel membership going thinking of doing it myself...if you dont mind me asking how many members have you got us small creators need all the help we can get .if you dont want disclose how many i understand..I assume your a plumber too 😂
Hello Ray, I'm well thank you. ahh i don't have nowhere as many as yourself pal, but I've just passed the 4,000 mark. fab seeing you here in the comments. is it the mod your doing ?
Is the poncho ya first choice shelter m8? I’ve got same one brand new haven’t used it yet as love me basha but will give it a go now and brilliant tip with the jungle knots compared to how hard I made it for myself but know next time now pal👍
I have the poncho, the liner and the basha tarp all in DPM. I just can’t find that jacket in anything larger than a medium. Where do you guys find a military issue in a 3X? And do you know of a surplus that’ll mail to the states
Near the sea, on the beach and in the dunes, this is useless. Better use a bivvyback etc.. Dig a hole in sand and make somekind of shelter. In swampy areas you can use a hammock in a small forest. We have strong winds, so this construction is useless most of the time. 😢
