It's because nerves are just electrical wires, like actual real life metal wires they conduct electricity instantly when connected, so it's possible

It’s more-so that they are impossible to repair. Once they’ve died off or suffered enough trauma, it can take many years (or even become impossible) for them to regrow. How was some farmhouse lady(Zoe Baker) able to get enough medical expertise to do such a complicated process in some regular house. Even when we catch a glimpse of how it all happened, it doesn't look like she did it like how it's done in real life. God, video game flaws ruined the amazing story of an amazing game. And that's why top level films, video games or whatever don't look that amazing in the end. Or maybe even in that Ethan's powers gave her some help. It's too difficult to understand the logic of the plot if you try to ponder on about.
