The solar panel installation market is experiencing rapid growth, making the task of fitting DC isolators a common one for electricians. However, the wiring may be unfamiliar to many. Thankfully, Garo's DC isolators can be arranged in various ways to accommodate different voltage and current limits, enabling easy switching and isolation.

They fitted it to an inverter that has an isolator built in 🤫

Was expecting this to actually be more of an explanation of how dc isolators differ from ac. No real secrets shown just an install..

Glands are different ! I so wish manufacturers would loose the knockouts, nobody actually knocks they out as you always crack the wrong ring. It would give you many more options

I always knock them out, usually with a flathead screwdriver and my hand, never had the wrong ring crack. It's a lot quicker and cleaner than drilling, also doesn't end up in the wrong place

Nice to see you guys using flathead screws to mount the unit! As they weaking the plastic which leads premature collaps... Next time use dome head with a flat bottom. My former boss learned that lesson the hard way mounting Brightwell soap and paper towel dispensers in high risk areas.

Why feed the first set of wires from the top, down underneath, then into a pole that is switched with a link back to the outgoing wires, (next to the incoming wire (running down & up)) & exit underneath the switch. Some may claim you are sharing the DC current across 2 switched poles - even though the switch is rated on all 4 poles inside... But you could have run the top wires into 1 pole - with it's link to pole next to it, then the incoming wire is sharing the load across two poles - which exits on a wire sharing two poles to the inverter - leaving the lower links intact that was removed. Finally ALWAYS TRIPLE CHECK DC switches POLARITY as some like Stag/IMO have the switches poles arranged diagonally & not straight down like you might assume to be common to all switches. Unveiling the hidden secrets ??? Click-bait headline - leave this stuff to Artisan chaps

Standard way to wire DC through a switch. DC current is hard to break as unlike AC the voltage never drops to zero so switching it through several contacts give you the best chance

DC isolator, both positive and negative. Mostly used for solar, to disconnect the array during servicing of the rest of the system. It's that, or only work on it at night.
