First thing is whoever wrote the script for review doesn't know much about the Heritage. I wish my Heritage would do 200 KPH! Auxillary front brake? I thought finally they got me, this is a joke. I love my 01 Heritage and am still enjoying it in my seventies. I've taken 25 or 30 multi day rides over the years and she has never let me down.
Or just want to be different than having a black street glide or black road king. Love mine jack of all trades the Swiss army knife of Harleys line up.
I have the 2019 heritage classic and love the weight difference from the street glide and road glide ultra that I've owned in the past. I installed the fork deflectors which all but eliminated the helmet buffeting. I've purchased a batwing fairing with a kick butt sound system and will paint to match. At 65 years old now, this will be the perfect bike for me now, and thats from a guy who's rode coast to coast on almost all of them.
@@ekimandersom4478 ..they attach to the front forks and really do a good job of cutting out the wind that sweeps up at your helmet and upper body area..helmet buffeting. I've had them on 3 different motorcycles..they're great for that highway riding without feeling the wind beating you up.
I just completed a 4,000mi tour on my Heritage Classic 114. I have deliberated for a while over moving on to a Road King or Street Glide and I've decided to stick with the Heritage and spend the equivalent it would cost to upgrade on mods. I *loved* being able to strip the bags, shield and rear seat when I reached my destination for not only a fresh, lean look but also to shed weight and girth for rapid riding. I love the looks of the RKS and I have a soft spot for the Low Rider ST, but I'm gonna keep going with the Heritage and create my own 'ST' version! 🤘🏼
I am 71 and own two Harleys. A 2015 Super Low 1200T and a 2020 Low Rider S. I plan on a trip to Sturgis thia yeaar on my Low Rider S. just saying i also own a 2020 KTM 790 Adventure S andd a 2016 Motto Guzzi V7II Stone
I have an 18 Heritage Classic 114. Dunno what y'all were doing with the front brakes, but they are certainly more effective than "an auxiliary to the rear brakes" I did have to install an aftermarket recurve windshield with a vent to remove the helmet buffeting. Other than that, it's fast, nimble, and has somewhere to keep my kid's gear when I drop her off at school.
Inherited my Dad's almost stock 1992. Plenty of power and comfort and the 114 compared to the old evolution is a beast! If you have this bike you are very fortunate.
Civil but true. The speed information here doesn’t make sense to me. Google search says 1 mph=1.60934. So 200KPH =124.4…MPH. And 240 KPH means Heritage goes minimum 150. I’m calling bs without proof.
One of the first things he says is that it has whitewall tires. Other than that it's a pretty good review. The heat in traffic is almost unbearable to me. Had one of these. Not again.
You are talking about a 107ci bike but reviewing a 114ci bike ? 1:51 it says it's top speed of 1000km per hour ? I don't think this is worthwhile looking at.
I have a 2019 Harley Davidson Heritage 107 with the Screaming Eagle stage 3 kit with the all stars torque cam and D&D fat cat pipe and getting 115 horsepower and 135 torque and it rides out awesome👍🏆 awesome video and really great review and thank you👍
I wouldn't call them the "gold standard", rather they have a cult following. There have been several bikes produced by other manufacturers that are better and more reliable. HD is a genius at marketing and that is the base of what fuels its success. It opens doors to other things when you can market.
Me too! I'll never trade my 2016 Heritage for something else. Not saying I won't ever have another but I'll have my Heritage always. It's probably the very best all around bike that Harley builds. Cruising or touring it does it all.
I will need another motorcycle. I appreciate my motorcycle but I want a new motorcycle to go far with reliability. My actually motorcycle is a vstar 1100 with 160,000km. I only want the same riding position with a similar protection in the wind or bad weather. I appreciate my bike in rain on highway, the engine keeps me warm. This is much better than a racer with the double of cost in the rain on highway. This model doesn’t look weird to me although it is much bigger and more expensive than a vstar1100. Actually, I hate on my bike oil change because I need to remove exhaust pipe. I hate carburetors cleaning, seat confort and no automatic breaking system. I appreciate to bring with me a lot of clothes for different weather and camping equipment. I like my fog lights.
I have a 2009 Heritage Softail Classic has 150,000 miles on it never had a problem with the 96 motor but had it made into a 103 I have 105 horsepower and 117 foot-pounds of torque I love my Heritage traded in 07 Street Glide in on it Street Glide was Heavy 100 lb more motorcycle I am 78 years old still ride it everyday and I beat the hell out of it and it goes like he'll also
You kept saying '107 ci' Heritage, but were often showing a 114, and this video is only a year old; so, I'd expect that you were probably really reviewing a 114 Heritage. It probably wouldn't make a whole lot of difference in your thoughts though. My primary bike is a Road Glide. It's a fabulous bike for touring (of which I did about 31,000 miles this past calendar year). My secondary was a '17 Harley Sportster Custom XL1200C. It seemed, though, that every time that I got on the Sporty, I disliked it more than the last time I'd ridden it. So, a few months ago, I traded the '17 Sporty 1200 for a new '23 Heritage 114. I absolutely love the Heritage for buzzing around town. It doesn't feel heavy at all (especially compared to the full-dresser Road Glide). I think that my only complaint with the Heritage 114 is that its lean angle is less than the touring bikes and it, therefore, doesn't corner as well. It still feels plenty nimble though, keeping in mind that dragging a knee through curves isn't important to me anymore. The Heritage 114 is classic Harley and is a dang good ride. I'd highly recommend it for cruising around town and for moderate touring.
Agree! I bought a 2021 Heritage 114 and traded it in after 6 months. I couldn’t take the vibration and head buffering… now I am on a road glide and loving it! Test road the road king and it’s much better than the heritage! The heritage is a POS !
It is all relative. I can ride my old Dyna or my XSR Yamaha for hundreds of miles a day no problem, some guys can do that on old Triumph Bonnies or Sporties. Try riding hundreds on a rigid like some guys do. To me that is very hardcore. Just having a windshield is a blessing and riding a dedicated tourer is further luxury in my opinion. I sometimes ride my Adventure bike for 12 hours and at that point it is not comfortable. Glad you found the right bike for you but the Heritage is not a POS.
Change the title...it doesn't make sense ! I love mine.... I've had it for years. The Road King rides better...but there is something about the way the bike sits, maybe it's to low to the ground than the Heritage. ? Everytime I see someone on a Road King the bike looks small and they look like giants on them and that includes a guy I know that's '5 8". 🤣🤣. Seriously ! The Heritage though is a beautiful bike !
Lol. I guess everyone just wants the cookie cutter big bikes. These dumbass videos make no sense to tell someone which bike to be appealed to. RU-vid is as bad as news on tv lol. Should’ve told them to buy a metric bike haha
