Great video, Karl! But... Was it promotional or educational? What can we use instead of Picolites? Any suggestions? Couldn't see one in this video, it was pure advert of Picolites. Even no cones... What a sudden surprise.

Hi I think you'll find that in this series of modifier videos (we've made many) that we aim to educate and inform on what is available but what we also use. Wherever there is a possibility of another product that we know of we mention it as you will see in the other videos in the series. In this instance the picolite is, I believe, quite unique if you can find another similar solution we hope you can add some information in these comments. Thank you.

I’ve always wanted that pico projection attachment that can light a match head but profoto doesn’t make anything like that. Mostly want it to light labels.

If you look carefully at what we're doing here on youtube you will see that this video is part of our playlist on lighting modifiers (17 videos so far) and in each of those videos we're showing the equipment we use and in every one we're pointing out what the alternatives are and how they compare in price. For the picolites that we use (and we felt it better to talk about them than not) we couldn't find an alternative that has the same range of attachments or does the same thing. Should that stop us talking about them, or is it better for the youtube audience to know what we use?
