That's what we are gonna try for, at least 2-3 times a week...really does relax ya at the end of the day. Just gotta make sure to take in enough water before & after.
Did not see that one Dan. Yes everybody should have 1 of those. Especially myself at 71yrs. Time to look into That. An excellent way to enjoy and like you said, Warm up and Cool Off. I cut wood yesterday not to Bad but only about 11/2 hours. It's going to be awhile to get back in the Swing of things. Today Rain, so resting up a bit. Go about a Face Cord all cut up and Split and in. Limited but at least done. Stove going today, cool and Damp. Enjoy your Sauna, I am going to look into a Metsa Cart that is Small. Keep up your Great Videos my Friend. PS- THE BEST TO AMANDA, AND LITTLE BOSS MAN! Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.
Rain on a rest day isn't such a bad thing, good reminder to relax and take it easy. The Ultratec trailers are great, the small one I have holds a lot of stuff in it and is very useful.
HAHAHAHHA. Thats the last thing I'll ever need.... by seeing the holes in the Floor means you could not take the top off to use it as a Normal Trailer... Now convert it to an off-road ATV Camper, I'd be looking at one . Thanks Dan....
For full effect you should install a coldwater garden shower to do the initial cooling, a few seconds under full flow should be enough, followed by air cooling. It will take some getting used to, but I always felt better with a cold shower/bath after the sauna instead of just air cooling. Of course, you could also go full old-school and cut the top of an IBC toad and use that as a plunge pool. Fill it with cold water, and put a platform beside it so you can jump in. In the beginning, you will want to jump out immediately, but as you get used to it 15 to 30 seconds will feel good too. If you are unable to stand the cold shower/bath, at the very least use a lukewarm shower to rinse off your skin A lot of dirt and bacteria collected in the skins pores and were dislodged by sweating, rinsing off will remove that and make the second and third round more effective I am almost jealous as I don't have room for or access to a sauna at the moment. I always found I had more energy after a sauna visit, I could handle extreme temperatures (hot and cold) much better because the temperature changes stimulated blood flow and cleaned my skin.
Oops, we had a perfect working sauna in our house suited for 6 persons. I converted it into my Burgundy wine cellar, since it’s very well insulated to keep temperatures stable. All the bottles are lying now in nice Terracotta stones that weigh a ton, even better buffering temperature and moisture since some bottles have to mature 10-15 years…
If you’ve ever had the chance to observe sauna culture, you might have seen Finnish people beating themselves with birch branches. No, they’re not crazy. Sauna culture in Finland has been using birch branches for centuries to enhance sauna benefits.
I did read how the sauna is a staple for the Finns lifestyle...I'm starting to see why. Not sure about getting whacked with a Birch branch tho...hahaha
An authentic Finnish steam sauna. Doesn’t get much better than that. Ultratec is awesome and those saunas are well done. Make sure you get it hot enough and really get the steam rolling!
