Full Concert Playlist: • "Muse and the Music" L... Lindsay Mendez and Ryan Scott Oliver perform "Music and the Muse" at SubCulture, NYC August 29th, 2016 "Unworthy of Your Love" from ASSASSINS Filmed by Nessie Nankivell
A new off-bway production was going to open at Classic Stage Company just before Covid hit NYC. I had tix. They're planning - in theory- to push it to next season.
I saw Unworthy Of Your Love at the bottom of the playlist for the concert and I was like, huh that's not an RSO song I know of. _But it's Assassins!!!_ *_I love that show!_* And I _love_ Lindsay's Squeaky, goodness.
I know these comments I've been leaving are from nearly 8 years after the concert, but knowing the two of your work at actor therapy, I've been enjoying the performances in this playlist of the concert a lot. Never been a theatre kid and still don't know jack shit about singing, but I'm still a big fan of Lindsay Mendez's work (I messaged her on insta a few times but probably buried in all the other DMs she and the actortheraphy get haha. unworthy of any reply haha). She's really the reason why I got to know the art of acting/singing/musicals and appreciate it as a visual artist. It's amazing how different medium of art overlap and inspire things in different ways, yet be the same thing: to express and create. Ryan! If you read this comment ever, I'd just like to thank you the art you create. Lindsay and you are doing amazing work for aspiring actors. I do some myself as a visual artist and I'm no one significant to compare to you two, but the feeling I feel from helping and guiding my tutoring students is something I feel grateful to be able to do for them and sometimes I am amazed of how much I learn myself from my students and get motivated, looking at teenagers and early 20's--their passion and strive for becoming better, wanting to improve, showing up every day with a smile. What you and Lindsay with Actor Therapy for the aspiring actors is something I look up to and try to become a better teacher who can bring smile to the students. so much more I could say, but I think this is a long enough rant :)
