For me I like the traditional 2s and 3s better than the 1s and 2s

Sometimes I pass to myself simply because everyone on my team is the whole way down the court, and then I pass it once I'm past half.

The reason most people play 1s and 2s pickup is because typical 5v5 basketball has free throws counting for 1 point. No one plays pickup games with free throws though, so the 1 pt shot is gone making it easier to just count 2s as 1 and 3s as 2, it’s simpler and easy to count.

If you call foul in the middle and you still make it then they're gonna be like "ball or point"

1s and 2s are useful in pickup games as you usually don't shoot freethrows and it makes it easier to count.

I honestly hate 1s and 2s so much, it makes a 3 worth 200% of a 2 rather than just 150%. 2s and 3s is so much better, as it promotes better basketball as inside shots are worth more relatively

Offense doesn’t call fouls, defense call fouls if they don’t want to call fouls than you do to them the same that they do to you . The way you want it is bull jive.

If I call late, it was because either I was tired, I was processing whether or not to ACTUALLY call it, or I was so focused on the shot going in I didn’t realize it was a call.

The 1s and 2s is so games like 21 it extends the game longer and gives other players an opportunity to catch up if one player gets hot. Also for games like 21 helps players not bust and go over 21. For example if you hit only layups doing 2s and 3s then you’ll just bust and there’s no way to win unless you hit a three somewhere. However if you play it 1s and 2s hitting all your layups means your gonna win.

We play ones and twos because we play games to lower numbers. Otherwise we would be playing games to 42 or 22 instead of a game to 21 or 11. Games would be over much faster

In my gym, we have to adjust with the foul calls. The rule goes if you say And1 and miss the shot, you dont get the ball or the foul call. If you call a foul and you hit the shot, you dont get the basket you jusy get the ball. Its a dumb rule, so ive adjusted lmao. If i get fouled, i do wait to see if i hit the shot or not, and thats how i counter these stupid rules these young kids keep making up. I dont call And1 until i see it go in, and if it misses i call a foul. Sometimes theyll complain i call it late, but i calmly explain why i do so, and that the call must be respected. Whether you like it or not, you gota respect a foul call.

I feel like if you're playing ones and 2s there should be absolutely no free throw Because if you're going by ones and 2s free throw should be half a point if you're gonna do it and half a point is kind of stupid

I absolutely HATE people telling me to call the foul sooner, and I straight up refuse to do it. YOU WILL LET ME PLAY THE GAME AND TRY TO SCORE DESPITE THE FOUL, OTHERWISE THAT MEANS YOU CAN JUST WACK ME TO PREVENT ME FROM SCORING BECAUSE I GOTTA BE FOCUSED ON CALLING THE FOUL INSTEAD OF PLAYING. If you don't think it was a foul say it and we can talk it out. Whether it was or wasn't doesn't change in a few tenths of a second. STOP SAYING THAT SHIT.

How do you call a foul mid shot

1&2 is normal but when you really do the math it’s just stupid. 2+2 is 4 , 1+1 is 2. 2+2 is 4 , 3+3 is 6. So in 1&2s if you score 2 threes the other team needs 4 ones but in 2&3s the other team only needs 3. The ones and twos favors the twos wayyy to much compared to 2&3s
