Unease has gripped the University of Nairobi, after the university council resolved to send Professor Stephen Kiama on leave. But in a response to the council, Professor Kiama has urged members of staff and students to ignore the communication by the council. The tussle at the council comes seven months after Professor Kiama cut short his leave, throwing the varsity into a similar leadership standoff.

It is Ruto causing confusion at the university by his hand-picked appointees. What became of the mzungu he hand-delivered recently to the university? Politicians should leave the running of the university to the university administration.

tell him to repent he is the only one who made professors to retirement at age 70yrs . he refused to let them go on even when pleaded with. check all other universities retirement is between 74 to 75. some departments were left empty like chiromo. that's arrogant

Retirement age at 70+ for any and every professor is ludicrous. In reputable academic institutions only a select few professors of international pedigree are requested to serve beyond the age of 70.
