I'm curious does anyone know what areas are between 45th Ave N down to Golden Valley Rd, and going east stopping at the 94 are within?

Are there any walkable pockets that are not next to the highway? One thing I notice about Minneapolis is it is totally cut up by highways. Uptown and Seward seemed the closest to walkable areas, but they are still really close to highways which I'm trying to avoid due to air quality.

Depends on where you want to walk but I lived in the Ericsson neighborhood and my wife lived in the Keewaydin neighborhood in South Minneapolis and they're both walkable to Lake Nokomis, Minnehaha Creek, coffee shops, the light rail and restaurants.

@@ChrisOConnellMortgage Walkable to grocery store, coffee shops, library, park ideally. Those areas are next the the airport which also seems problematic. I'm having a hard time finding a place that is not choked by highways that is considered a walkable neighborhood. I wonder if they plan on removing any of the highways.

@@stephanimeyers9570 It is close to the airport but actually has very little flight noise - you can look at the flight patterns online. Also, look around the Nokomis Library and Oxendales grocery store on 34th Ave S - it's the perfect nook! Town Hall Tap, the post office, and some other shops are all right there. Close to Venn Brewing, the creek, and the light rail as well.
