Carolyn, that was an amazing video! It repeatedly took my breath away and brought me to tears? I can only imagine what it was like to be there in person, but I WILL find out!! I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for helping me to succeed in my 2018 New Years resolution. To "Eff Fear"! You're bravery doing this inspires me! I took my first solo trip this Summer. I never would have done it without your videos and others blazing our way! I thought our dream of RVing around the country had died prematurely with my husband. People like you revived it and have shown me that I can do it, just me. 🤗

Fantastic, exhilarating, incredible video. The wildlife is just outstanding. Thank you for sharing your experience with us and living life vicariously they you. It means even more to me now because 5 weeks ago I was diagnosed with Metastatic breast cancer and I may never be able to travel again pending the outcome of my current treatment. This video brought much joy to my heart watching the animals in their natural habitat.💜

This video brought back many memories. In 1969 my family and I went in a truck and camper on the road to Mount McKinley. It was before they had buses for the journey. There were several times that we would have to back up, when meeting a car, until the road was wide enough to pass each other. We prayed so hard on much on that road, because we knew there was a good chance we could go over the side of the mountain. It was so fun to watch your adventure and re-live memories from the comfort of my living room chair.🏔

Carolyn, what great fun to see the bears, caribou and other wildlife! And, I gotta be honest...I’m glad you were on the bus! It seems you may be giving more thought to not hiking alone in the back country. And, I am relieved. The bear attack that Timothy Treadwell and his girl friend sustained in 2003 in Katmai was horrendous. There are even pictures on google of the attack on Timothy. Just awful. And, he had been there 13 summers working around the grizzlies! He never thought they would attack him. So, please be safe, have healthy fear, but keep on trucking! Love your pioneering spirit!!

So exciting to see bears up so close! I went to Yellowstone this year and saw bears for the first time in the wild. Nothing like it. It's just something you don't see everyday and most people never ever get to see this in their lives.

Hello from Cape Town, Carolyn. I LOVE what you do and for sharing it with us. I am also a woman who has camped alone in the Namib desert where there are leopards and numerous other species of animals, ie. wild horses, jackals, elephants, etc. I am sorry to say that humans in Africa pose a bigger threat to you as a woman than any animal when camping alone. Despite all the dangers I believe the quality of life you and I enjoy is priceless. Stay safe and God bless.

Carolyn, this was the most exciting trip out in nature. To see the Grizzlies was over he top. Moose, loons etc... What a perfect day. You are really there in beautiful ALASKA. What a beautiful place to be over the summer. I can see your desire to get out and backpack in the most beautiful place. Thank you for taking me. This means the world to me to follow along. Wow! Truely a once in a lifetime trip! I was there in 2007...best trip of my life. Extraordinary scenery beautiful vistas...I would go there again in a heartbeat. Enjoy it while you're there... superb video Carolyn!!

My husband and I did the same trip, we flew into Anchorage stayed with family then rented a class c and drove all over Alaska! We did the Denali bus trip as well. Love the freedom of the class c we bought one! Thanks for the memories Carolyn!

What a fantastic video! Between the grizzlies and the mountain views, I don't know which I enjoyed the most. You're brave to get off the bus and go walking like that..... I'd be terrified! I was so afraid for you when you encountered that mother bear with her cub.... that is the most dangerous situation to be in, and to walk with them behind you, God, I was praying every second! Anyhow, for those of us who will never have the chance to see Alaska and Denali, thanks so much for sharing with us! It has been a wonderful journey! (And no, I don't think anyone has the right to complain that you are "behind" on videos. How can you be behind? It's not like you owe us a video every single day or exactly on any specific date! I'll take them whenever! To have a real life travel journal in video is wonderful whenever we get it!)

That was great! And I know that it was even more amazing in person. I have been exploring the mountains of Colorado the past few months and I've taken tons of pictures and video but when I look at all I've shot I see it can't even begin to capture the awe inspiring beauty and grandeur of what my eyes have seen! I remember more than 30 years ago standing on a run at Keystone ski resort in Colorado looking at the views and mountains like that and it just taking my breath away in the cool air was making every long staying with fulfillment and excitement I so envy your trip but I’m so glad you get to live it

Not worth the risk, when you can get shots like that on the bus. I did the same thing in Africa, then realized we could actually get closer to game in our hippy VW Van. Much safer i/s the ex tour VW Window van with roof view area.
