Exterior shots are all at the Elephant and Castle roundabout by the tube station and the now demolished shopping centre. Shot starts covering the City and East London pans across to St Paul's Cathedral then down to the Elephant. Shopping centre would have been just off screen to the left.
@@Darwinion then you would be wrong. The Vicar of Dibley is a gentle sitcom for the mild mannered. It had social significance at the time with the admission of female vicars in the CofE, but leant on tired and dated gags and archetypes. Father Ted was far more intelligently constructed balancing slapstick and satire incredibly well.
