Scarab is an interesting slot where you win by landing winning combinations on paylines although the real fun begins with its two special features: the Free Games bonus and the Wild Stays Charges Then Pays Bonus!
During the base game, special Scarab symbols may land and if they do, they lock that position until the 10th spin after which all locked positions and any Scarab symbols that may have landed on that 10th spin transform wild: this is known as the Wild Stays Charges Then Pays Bonus feature of the game.
The Free Games Bonus is triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 bonus symbols after which you choose your Free Games Feature:
5 bonus symbols: 45, 40, or 15 free games with 5, 7, or 10 wild symbols added to each game respectively.
4 bonus symbols: 30, 20, or 10 free games with 5, 7, or 10 wild symbols added to each game respectively.
3 bonus symbols: 15, 10, or 5 free games with 5, 7, or 10 wild symbols added to each game respectively.
During the free games feature, retriggers are possible for a new set of free games. Positions where your wilds land are randomly selected for each game and the Scarab symbol does not appear on the reels during this feature.
Because each 10th spin activates the Wild Stays Charges Then Pays Bonus, I had some fun with Scarab by progressively betting each bet level so that on the 10th spin for each bet multiplier, this feature would be activated consecutively for 5 games, as you will see, Enjoy!

What an interesting betting technique. I could never play it this way -- no way I could spend $18.75 on that last spin - or even be comfortable betting $3.75 on the first one. I'm glad there are people with bigger bankrolls who don't mind taking chances -- this way I get to see how it works without risking any cash. It is a very unusual game and frankly it is rather confusing, but I'm glad you got a nice win finally (twice actually but the game took the earlier big win back.) If anybody can master Scarab you're the one to do it. Great demo, Tim.

I just watched that one too! It was fun to watch you set up the different pay levels against each other. For some weird reason it makes you super invested in the outcome. I bet that would be really fun on that game that’s 8 games you collect wilds, minis, majors, and bonus’s.

Everytime you changed the denomination of the bet, it restarts the counter. In order to really hit it big - you have to play 10 games, collecting scarabs along the way and they turn wild on the 10th spin.

No, it does not: you just need to watch the video in order to see that is not the case. In short though, I never changed the denomination, I just changed the bet levels, and changing bet levels doesn't reset anything. Just watch, and you'll see that nothing resets, else how would how get 5 Wild spins in a row?

With playing all bet levels at the end of 9 spins total invested was $506.25 so all the 10th spins had to total more than $506.25 to make a profit. The 4th bet level ($15) had the best payouts on average.

This must be the most confusing game on the planet....couldn't make any sense of it. Many things happening, scarabs flying and blinking. Your description of the game did help a bit though :) What I did like was the guaranteed 10 wilds on the 5 free spins, it wasn't like a "possible 10 wilds". Agree with many here do not understand the game but it certainly appears you do. On a side note, the Pinnacle casinos in Cincinnati and Florence Indiana were recently bought by Boyd Gaming. I understand the notion of an RNG but I have to say the slot machines at both locations have been brutal. What are you thoughts Tim being a seasoned player, can the machines be tightened by the management? Or.....................is it based on bad timing which I now find hard to fathom? This one takes a bit to understand how it works, then it becomes obvious, but it takes a bit to understand! With regard to the recent casino acquisitions, regulatory procedures would mandate any machines changed to be taken down and paperwork filed: it would be a big task and I seriously doubt massive changes, especially to the negative, were made so close to any closing date. In other words, probably just bad luck. I believe Boyd is a public company so there may be information on their hold percentages in their SEC documents, if you really wanted to dig. Hope that helps!

Tim, I have never played this, and it was not so simple. You complained too much. Then at the end, you were praising the game! I like the routine whine you have...especially the "No!' and "I got nothing." This was hard to follow you...It was not as enjoyable as you other videos.

lol would you believe this has been one of my highest rated launches all year?! I thought people would like it, but it turned out people LOVED it! Well, most people anyway lol!
