The grind never stops bruh, people said the same about XLs and 5 star shadow raids. Give it a chance. Head to local university there’s usually mad heads

@@dacubanmofo for starters, yes. It's hard, but when things like Mewtwo or Lugia are a thing, you'll gonna need those GMax because GMax moves hit harder than Max Moves

Max battles like this only work for people living in big cities with many trainers active. Even mid-sized cities struggle to get more than 2 players for a raid! And we have Pokémon we have trained up for years to help us complete them. Now we all have to get dozens of players for a Max battle and most people don't have many powered up Max Pokémon. I really hate Max battles. They are so boring.

As a solo player, I’ll just call up three imaginary friends to link up for party play, hop on the nearest route, making sure to not receive a zygard cell along the way since it didn’t spawn, hitting up that sweet free gift from Mateo, to the nearest Gigantamax arena. Where I can promptly ignore it, and instead go play broken PVP the actual thing I enjoy about this game which is always in a state of disrepair. Snark aside, I’m just not really interested In this Max battle side game. I have max arenas all around me that I’m too apathetic about to even put the effort into battling.

Coming from someone that played through Sword &Shield, it’s cool that these are coming to the game but there is no use for the dynamax feature outside of these raids. If they had a bonus like the megas I’d say they’d be more worth the trouble, although I have a decent community where I live I doubt many will be interested in taking them down unlike regular/mega raids. There’s just nothing else dynamax do besides require a lot of resources with little to no benefit within the rest of the game…

It’s a new feature. There’s no way of knowing for sure that it will only be limited to use for max raids. Could eventually be pvp cups that allow its use, or rocket events that feature a max battle esque arena. Who knows

I think the 40 trainer reference means the lobby size. Up to 40 people can join at the same time. It doesn't mean that you need up to 40 trainers to actually defeat it, although I imagine it won't be easy either.

To be fair, the legendary raids recommend 20 people to complete and they usually only take 2-5 nowadays. I think these will take more in the early days like legendaries did but as people get more of the dynamax/gigantax powered up it’ll probably take a lot less.

Hope they at least open them up to be remote. I work in a BIG city (my office can hit 8 different PokeStops & 2 gyms alone) and live in a place with pretty active player bases, and even we struggle to get numbers on certain Raid hours/days, and I've yet to see anyone group up for the 3-star dynamax spots around me. Was just barely able to solo Falinks and Beldum because of Pokemon leftover at the spots they appeared at.

Id only care if they Gave something outside of dynamax battles, like an exclusive move to use in the league. But at the moment i see no reason to do these.

I am lucky and live in Austin TX, so there's several areas with thriving communities. I wonder if we will be able to use them for anything else in the future besides just max raids. I will be grinding them out just because it's something new but I do hope for more versatility out of them in the future.

They need to explain the future relevance of Dynamax and Gigantimax Pokemon because at this point other than a novelty, there isn’t much point in them in the game. And needing 10 trainers to defeat them is pretty much a no-go for me.

Unfortunately they’re making it to be that crazy you’ll need 40 ppl I get the whole thing about trying to make things difficult but this is just a bit unnecessary and the other bad thing is we still can’t use our older Pokémon to D-Max or G-Max so if I get lucky to do one or two just to have it. I won’t grind it until we can use our older Pokémon

How do you know that. It has no ties to halloween like Gengar does, and it doesn't have a gigantamax form that players are allowed to use either.

It's kinda dumb that they made "Dynamax pokemon" cause in the console games anything can dynamax. It's the gigantamax that is special... should have just given us giganatamax from the start and let anything dynamax like with Megas

Looks really bad, and I say that as someone who is one of the most active members of our community and tries to push people to get together. You just aren't going to be able to get that many people into the raids. If it takes several full teams of four and there's no matchmaking system to help with, it's too high of a barrier of entry. Feels like the same thing they did with Megas. The initial release is horrible, they fix in it a year, but at that point people aren't as engaged with the feature anymore.
