My parents were paying over $5,000 monthly for their tiny assisted living apartment. If I remember correctly, had only one bedroom. They moved out of that place and into an apartment with two bedrooms, larger living room and a real kitchen. Plus, it’s much less than the assisted living place. If I had the land I would do a home like this for them. Much respect for this family who are taking care of their parents.

My daughter and her husband just turned their garage into my place. I was so pleased to see what y’all have done. My place looks almost like yours. Even the colors, walls, floor, and furniture. I have kitchen area, living room area, bedroom area and large bathroom. I turned 80 in June. I wish you all the happiness and satisfaction in your little home. God bless you.

I am in my sixties, and I can't imagine a better set up for getting older. Being right on her daughter's property is ideal. My daughter doesn't have the back yard to accommodate something like this, but I could absolutely see myself being very happy in this beautiful home.

I can't remember but I have seen that idea on youtube before, I'm pretty sure it was another couple who converted a shed to a family home and I remember thinking what a good idea that was. If I could have some land with those views I would love a big porch like that with screened windows to protect from bugs and a laundry building would be perfect.

Man! I’m loving this for my mom too!! She doesn’t do stairs very well, my dad is still living, but really, no matter who passes first I think this would be perfect for whoever is left behind. Not a whole lot of space to keep clean, no stairs, perfect. Put it in my backyard so they’re close to me and looks like everyone could really save money too with this kind of set up.

I absolutely love this, I have been fascinated with tiny homes for years but not sure I would want to go that small but this is plenty big enough, I would add one more room for crafting and the finish everywhere, the front and back porch just stunning! I am not old, only in my fifties although over here in the Uk once you reach your fifties that entitles you to buy property in retirement villages, but I would love this. I just wish it was easier over here to be able to build these types of properties and to afford land to put one on.

Just have a couple of suggestions - the back porch needs a door & stairs or ramp so the house has 2 exits in case of a fire and the front porch needs a rail around it so an elderly person doesn’t fall off & it may also need a ramp in the future. Also the outside washer / dryer may need a vent added to the wall attached to the house to give it some heat in the winter, the insulation may not be sufficient to keep the pipes from freezing, especially with a glass door. Overall, great design and a very lovely home!

Cute home, and the washer dryer area is great...probably the best part. Her Son did a fantastic job, even though she said it wasn't good. I would have utilized the vaulted area more, put a loft or some storage. wasted apace.

MOM LIVES THERE AND SHE IS 80 YR'S OLD. DON'T THINK A LOFT WOULD BE A WISE CHOICE FOR HER. A RAMP IN FRONT WILL BE A AFTER THOUGHT SOONER THAN LATER.

I love this home I'm 58 year of age and I want to own my home. The apartment I'm renting now is a one bedroom and if I resign my lease it will cost me 975 dollars a month.I can't afford to for a apartment right this is something that I will be looking into. We bought a beautiful shed in Wickenburg Arizona. They have so many designs. It has a porch on it and everything we did all the work inside and all together. We are only in this thing $30,000! And we use top of the line best of the best materials, appliances, and flooring and windows. We also put a metal roof on the top of the shed or I should call at home now. It’s a little Casita in our backyard. Our daughter, who is in college is living in it at the moment, and when she leaves, we will use it as a Airbnb. We are here in Vegas. We did the floating shelves as well because in a shed like that or tiny home having more cabinets just makes it look cluttered.
