I just started playing Moonstone Island I’m not the biggest pixel game lover but there’s something really special and endearing about that game that has me unable to stop playing it.
Moonlight Peaks is another good one! You play as a vampire with all the cozy elements (decorating, bug catching, crafting, etc.) and you can also turn into a bat. My favorite is the mechanic that allows you to catch spells which is more than just pushing a single button. When the next demo comes out I hope you try it out! I can’t wait for the release date💕
Thank you Payton. Very appreciative of the call out! Love that you put this together. Congrats on successful kickstarter Sugardew and love our friends at SunnySide.
I’ve never heard someone call Oregon trail “OR-uh-Gone Trail” before 😂 love these farming games ! I usually get bored of them but these look much more interesting
@@StarsOfHera I have never met someone who has it as Pay-TON. The correct way (at least in my case) is how I say it. Payt-in with a soft T sound Some people also pronounce it as Pay-TIN which is also wrong in the case of my name or sometimes people put a weird D sound like Pay-den but I don’t usually correct people lol
I'm really excited about SunnySide after playing the demo. I wasn't sure seeing info on it before but it impressed me. I need to play the demo again and ignore the farming since it's just a demo and see what more I can uncover.
I love Rusty’s Retirement so much more than I anticipated! I’m not really an idle gamer, but having Rusty and all my little bots working away while I’m working is such a cozy little boost to keep me going 💕
I’ve been waiting for Echoes of the Plum Grove and Go-Go Town for so long! So excited they’re coming out soon!! P.S. I love what you’ve done with your hair! ❤️
I love Moonstone Island and Roots of Pacha. Plus I am enjoying Stardew Valley’s newest update. I am anxiously awaiting the full game of Little Known Galaxy. Played the demo and love it!
I think chucklefish (Stardew Creator) really opened up the "Cozy Game" genre for people. Us OG Harvest Moon gamers went nuts when Stardew came out and now there's a variety of farming games which is amazing... However, like you said there's a lot of repetition. I feel like a lot of these creators just seen what He and the Harvest moon genre did and were like "we can do that too!" There isn't a lot of.. originality to the games? It's rare if you find a game where it's like "WOW, this is different and unique" I feel like Coral Island is one of the few that has originality to it and the graphics alone blew me away. They are still adding so much content to the game. I just feel like so many creators (Gaming companies, Movie companies... literally everybody) needs to touch up on their storytelling. I've noticed there's like no life to some of these games. One of the best things to a video game is the story. One of my favorite things about Harvest Moon (older games like Friends of Mineral Town) the characters were unique they all had different personalities, backstory etc. I love the farming games so much but it's almost overwhelming how many are out now. Lol I haven't played Moonstone but it looks adorable!! Thank you the recommendations! Definitely checking some of these out.
i enjoyed the demo of Go-Go town! waiting for its full release. Sugardew island looks fun as i love shop keeping in games like recettear. I highly recommend a new upcoming game called Trade Tales to join this list. i believe its going to be the best farming/shop keeping game once it comes out
Love the art style of Sugardew Island, and that you get to run a store. Guess I still gravitate towards the classics :) But there are some unique looking options on your list like Outbound that may be worth a try too
Excited for these new games! If you're looking for a very promising upcoming game, keep an eye out for Trade Tales. It's shaping up to be a charming addition to the genre
too bad u arent iinclude mirthwood. its farm simulator too, but in the age of harsh time. so it will have the survival element as well. u will find a bandit to be fight for, u can make relationship with any villager, there's morale system that can affect ur relationship with the villager, can make romance with someone u like, there's bunch of seasonal village like any medieval sport, festival and more. and like echoes of plum groves, this game will have a fantasy element like werewolf (confirmed on the trailer), runestone, unicorn and much more. they have cemetary so probably we can die too in this game , but the dev said that generation system are not confirmed yet but it possible to make it to the game.
you should try ffxiv, the gathering, exploring and crafting and customization in it is relaxing :) it's an mmo but it's the best Final Fantasy game lol it's super fun because it's social with lots of outfits, and not as competitive as games like world of warcraft (people can easily get banned in ffxiv if they're rude, unlike world of warcraft where it's common to be rude), and you can switch jobs and classes so easily by switching out tools and weapons without starting over a new character
I need new games I can’t play the same game with a different title over and over! I played the demo for little known galaxy and am excited for it to come out!!
I saved up money for over a year to buy a steam deck because I only had a Nintendo switch. 100% worth it. You can get the regular steamed deck cheaper than they used to be because the OLED version is out now.
