Any kind of cotton and embroidery floss. A whole plastic bag, but then i cut It in half to have less thicker coils. The fabric keeps the bags together when I join them.

For the fabric wrap the new strip overlapping the previous strip. For the core you have to insert the new bag inside the latest bag, Just the edge and wrapping It tightly. Hope It helps 😊
