Update 1933 Dodge Brothers Wrecker Tow truck build

Here is the truck all put back together currently. The chassis and wheelbase are very long, and I am thinking about shortening the frame and wheelbase to better accommodate the wrecker boom and make it not so cumbersome. I am still looking for some tires and other accessories for it.

If your frame rails are straight and same width, you can just drill new mounting holes and scoot the rear axle and suspension forward. Then you can lop off the excess sticking back. It will definitely handle better as a wrecker with a shorter wheelbase.

The frame tapers at the back so I ended up cutting a section out of the middle of the frame and I cut off the back past the spring hangars.

From parts to a real vehicle!!! I agree it’s too long. It will look great shorter. Let’s find some old rear fenders with patina .

Yes it’s amazing how this started as just collecting a body that was parted out and making it back into a whole truck again!

@@jeffs_garage Yes in Thailand, they race and modify four-cylinder Nissan diesels . They absolutely rip you wouldn’t believe the footage that I’ve watched on RU-vid.
