Acc so far i know do prioritys matter, they^re just different xD i read something like: Top:+3 Middle:+2 Bottom:+1 (I know this for the EXP the towers get!) So i guess, the Prioritys are not for that type only That means if the targetting is: Max Health Max Armor Progress Then the Tower is shooting the enemy with the Most Health AND Armor regardless of the amounts of Health and Armor. Normal Oogie only has Health so this tower wouldnt Attack Oogie till there is NO Armored enemy in ranged. ______________________________ Top: Most Armor Middle: Most Shield Bottom: Most Health With this Prio the tower would Attack Robo-Oogie UNTIL his shield is gone, Then the tower would attack him ONLY if there is not an single ennemy with Armor AND Shield If Top Would Be Most Health, the Middle Most Armor and the bottom prio Progress, then the tower would attack Robo-Oogie even with shield, because he has the Most Health and Most Armor. If the bottom would be Least Shield the Tower wouldnt because he has the most, So Dont think of it like: FIRST the tower Attacks what the Top Prio is but all prioritys are combined. Otherwise an Tower With Top Most Health Middle Most Armor Bottom Most Shield Would be the same as Top Most Health Middle Progress Bottom Progress But why should you prio Top Health at all? I Actually set the Prio of my Starting Towers (so most of the time the random Ballistas) to Most Shield Most Health Most Armor So my Towers shoot the tough ones in the first 15 waves (Most Healt and Amor) but after 15 they would Attack the Zombies but only until there are enemys with all 3.... but by that moment i know what Kind of Damage i need the Tower To do so i change it Often Remember!!: -Prioritys are all Combined An Tower also Always Targets Progress, even if u have them on something else! they allways Target the Enemy that is the nearest to the tower, otherwise they would have a bad Time Choosing a Target if u prio 3x Most Shield in the first 15 waves
There is a guide on steam called, "A quick'ish guide to "ballista only" and dual towers achievements." He talks about how he does priorities for his tower but essentially he has delayers, cleaners and destroyers. He goes into more detail on what to actually put in each of the 3 spots and how they should be placed along the path. It helped me a ton on figuring out priorities and took me from losing most of my games to winning a majority.
I would say I win most of my games, and most of the fun for me is figuring out a game on my own :D I have all the dual towers achievements on 1 path done, just have to do a few more for 2 paths, then I start 3 paths
Sorry I didn't mean to imply you needed the guide or anything like that. I just thought the author had a good explanation on the tower priorities and wanted to share the name of it incase you or anyone else was interested. I know you already win most of your games that's why I come to your channel to learn to get good (and for the chill vibes) 😄.
I was surprised at how quickly you were able to get your mana able to support the meme particle cannons. The cannons starting at 26 mana per shot and upgrading from there makes me want to just use the cheat mod for infinite mana if I was going to do this run.
If you are wanting a tower to specifically aim at the first oogie, set two most health and a least health, it should always aim at oogie. For later oogies most anything tends to work pretty well until that thing is gone. I still have solid success leaving nearly everything on progress, most of the time when the map doesn't decide to screw my run. Just setting a tower here and there to focus something specific to try and break up the spawners earlier. A least targeted and most targeted priority could be really nice.
@@Verowak It generally works really well for me as long as I don't pile them up too much in one spot. Scattering them in little groups across the map tends to work decently well. I'll often go out and build on every +3 I can, scattering them out, then as gold comes in and the wave progresses putting them just ahead of the wave in the highest spot I can. Works fairly well as long as the map behaves. I have noticed if multiple enemies are in the same spot overkill bolts can sometimes hit other enemies. I've seen it a lot with spawners getting alpha'd and then some of the ads will die or have damage on them before the ballista can fire again. Not fully sure, it's hard to see things like that in such a small window of time.
Also when I set priorities for towers I set all three for the same thing. And for the Oogies I find that most shield most armor most health works decent for targeting them over the rest of the monsters.
I went with ballista only three way on this patch with mana bolts III and it was working but you have to have like 7k of mana to make this work. Of course with all upgrades to mana regeneration
I loved the video but i need to ask already because my mind doesnt understand, can someone explain me wtf is with this amount of graves there, like THE HELL IS THAT?
Why does the title say particle cannons only, when you are using ballistas too? And not only using them, you even allowed them to deal any damage at all. And not only that, but you also let them kill enemies. And not only kill, you had entire waves where they were all you used.
Instead of rerolling and trying multiple times just waiting for the card that I need to show up, to me, it's perfectly fine to use ballistas around the houses near the tower. If you don't think that's legit, that's fair, but given the RNG of the game, to me, it's fine.
@@Verowak my point was not about what is more fun, but rather about the clearcut falsehood in the title, which was even in all-caps to really sell it and bait clicks (point in case, made me click to see how you survived the early rounds without ballistas)
@@feha92 I've done it on other videos where you just eat the damage and get the card early on. As I said, for tower X only, to me the ballistas at the beginning is just to tie over until you can actually get the card that you need. It's tedious to do it without ballista. If I had used ballista throughout the map, I would agree that it's misleading and it would be labelled tower+ballista. It seems like this is where we see things differently.
@@Verowak The difference lies in the capitalization. To me, that means it is literal with a knowing implicit comparison to the alternative of cutting corners. As a side note, the ballistas earned you thousands of gold, you did have ballistas save you quite a way into the video, and some time before that mentioned how they were useful as a life saver.
