Here is the update on my 1301 Tactical. It was gone for just about 3 months. It went to Bolsa Gunsmithing in Westminister, Ca. Big mistake! What a joke of a business. Beretta customer service is non existent with exception of my last contact. So now It's in Beretta in the east coast. I don't know how long it will be gone for again. I just want a 1301 that works. That's all.

Hi Beretta, I just purchased a 1301 tactical marine, and “you” better hope to Geezus this does not happen to me, because i won’t be as passive and forgiving as this guy. How dare you treat him like this!!! Fix his goddam shotgun!!!!!

interesting...i bought a new 1301 tactical last year...i noticed the rear stock was slightly cracked...i called beretta and explained i never dropped the gun or abused it in any way...they asked for a picture of the crack...so i sent it...she said it must have been over tightened from the factory...3 days later i had a brand new stock from beretta at no charge or shipping cost...best customer service i've ever experienced...

I just got a 1301 with a Mesa Tactical stock installed. The adjustable comb was cracked near the butt pad. I called Beretta and they want me to send the whole gun in. The darn comb comes off the stock. Said it would take up to 12 weeks turn around but since it was new that it would have priority. I asked how long then, she said less than 12 weeks. I order the part from Mesa Tactical for $20.

It's quite amazing that these companies aren't more vigilant with their communication during customer service/repairs. Guys, you're all being watched and broadcasted on social media. Everyone has receipts, and it will be shown on RU-vid.

I have a 1301 tactical and it is great. eats any ammo. Super fast shooting. Best shotgun in the business in my opinion. Hope you get it resolved.

How did your Mossberg work out? Mine jammed up solid, just like this video shows. Then Mossberg customer service left me hanging just like this! Lol. Frikken crazy! Sold it for a loss and now I have 2 beretta Autos that are so far trouble free!

This is the only time I've ever seen anyone have a problem with this Gen 2 1301 Tactical. I have one - granted only put 55 slugs through it but no issues yet. 50 2 /34 in and 5 3 in slugs. No buck or bird yet.

I've had two, and they are awesome. I highly suspect this guy is lying. The timing is just way to close to the release of the 940 by Mossberg. Everyone else is having a great experience.

@@JR-mc4wg Right, but he seems to be the only person ever that has issues with their customer service. I was convinced by a gunsmith that services all the shotguns for my region's fourH shotgun teams to go with Berretta. There are older models with 20,000+ rounds through them. When they do need service from Berretta he has never had a problem. So back to my previous statement. I'm suspicious of this whole story.

@@sasquatchycowboy5585 It's true, he could be lying. If that is the case, I don't see an obvious reason. From the video, it appears that his gun is malfunctioning. He seems frustrated with the service he has received. Let me be clear. His problem is not with Beretta. His problem is with the vendor.

Love my 1301 but can also verify that Beretta's customer service leaves a lot to be desired. You would think with their name and reputation that they would be on top of that.

I went with a Benelli M4. I have no doubts that the Beretta 1301 is great; I just felt like buying the Benelli was a guarantee that everything would be perfect; and it is.

The only downfall to the M4 is no extended mag tube and the factory stock is made for an orangutan. Italians must have loooong arms.

Mine hucks a shotshell on the ground for everyone it fires. I get a hull, a full cartridge both for every shot. Shell catch barely contacts the rim of the shell in the magazine. Brand new. Brought it back to the store I brought it from. I waited 9 months to get it and now it is unuseable. Also the paint missing from the barrel in places and front sight. Quality control Beretta, come one guys, you're better than this!

That's a bad shell latch for sure. FYI you can buy an OEM shell latch from midwest gun works (in stock right now) and just fix it yourself. I know things like this can be a matter of principle, but it really doesn't seem worth the trouble for such a cheap fix. I wouldn't even bother with the hassle of customer service and shipping etc for any repair that costs less than $50 to do yourself. There's no way this is worth it, even for the principle.

That has to be extremely frustrating. I have a 1301 tactical I purchased last summer and so far, so good and I really like the gun. However having said that I have had dealings with Beretta customer “disservice” in the past and am not impressed. I purchased my 1301 at Scheels sporting goods, best outdoor store ever. I purchased a Benelli 828 last summer as well, I really wanted to like it. I had issues from the get go. Scheels sent it back to Benelli (only one week old), it came back and was still having the same issue. Scheels gave me a new gun and that one wasn’t any better which was verified by Scheels. I said that’s it, I am done with this thing. Scheels said, we back what we sell, we can either give you a full refund or a different brand of gun. I got a different brand. I was a little hesitant purchasing the 828 because I had a Super Black Eagle (not purchased at Scheels) which as the 828 was a piece of junk from the get go as well. Will NEVER own another Benelli. If you ever have an opportunity to shop at Scheels do so, greatest customer service ever!

WOW, wish Scheels was close to me, or that I had ordered this 1301 from them. The company I bought this from (well known, established, large retailer) pretty much told me to take a hike, not their problem - call Beretta!. I received my shotgun in a box instead of hard case, ok, they changed policy but not price, but when it arrives missing pieces of included equipment - i FEEL YOU (THE RETAILER) SHOULD MAKE IT RIGHT and deal with the manufacturer, sounds like Scheels is that kind of company

Martin, I am having the exact same issue, but mine is happening after 1-2 rounds fired. After getting feedback from the 1301 community on Reddit, it seems like it could be tied to the Nordic extension tube - specifically, the spring in the tube. I bought a new one and need to install it, but hoping that will solve the issue.

Beretta customer service is indeed shit.It took me two weeks just to get them on the phone.They told me turnaround time is 16 weeks.Been about 6 weeks so far……I’ll be glad if I get it my 1301 Tactical back before 2023.I should have gotten a Benelli M2 or IWI Tavor TS-12 instead.

The 1301 is more reliable and superior in quality. Similar money too if you find it on sale or don’t care about color. Every gun maker makes the occasional lemon. The video creator screwed up because he opted to have a 3rd party do the first repair rather than wait on beretta to do the job. Ultimately they fixed his gun.

Brother i feel your pain. I have a UTAS XTR-12 semi-auto magfed sg. It looks bad-a** but won’t cycle! Tried hot loads, springs. I was always skeptical of auto sg’s. This is why!

On some level we all have to do some smith work ourselves. Replace the part that was originally suggested. And fix that stock. I have the M4 and for fun and upgrades it has stripped down to the last spring, I learned a lot from that process. And have done my other guns.

alright someone said m4 is better, now I believe it. m4 is just impossible to get stuck like this. I believe if you rip out the trigger group it should clear this. I think 1301 is a great design, including the shortened receiver, but I think that is where it failed because there is no wiggle room for the bolt whatsoever.

Based on my experience, this is probably to blame the American side of Beretta, not the Beretta Italy. Americans love to sabotage European companies. (I wish I am making this up) Almost every visit to a Porsche dealers in Southern California (Newport Beach, Irvine, Carlsbad and with dealing with Porsche headquarters in Atlanta, GA) during 6 years of owning new 718 Boxster and 911 4S Carrera was beyond terrible. Some terrible things I have on tape. Not much better experience with servicing my Ducati Panigale in San Diego and Newport Beach, and my terrible experience with CZ Custom, Phoenix, AZ and Glock Store in San Diego. But if this can make you feel a little better, I had to return my Mossberg 590 back because it came defective and they sent me a replacement in reasonable timeframe, but not a single word regarding inconvenience. Later on I had to return my S&W M&P 2.0 Metal for few issues and they return my gun without addressing the main issue and not a single word or phone call to explain why. So I had to put my pistol for sale, I can’t have anything that is not perfect. I recently purchased Beretta 1301 Tactical Model 2 which is working great. Hopefully will stay that way.

My 1301 stock is always getting out of alignment, and my forend lug broke off and pops off the side, might be casing the failure to feed. Ordered a new forend and lock tote the stock nutt.

I feel your frustration and pissed-off attitude. I, like you, bought the same weapon from the same manufacturer - in the belief I was buying from a top tier, reputable company, thinking they surely would back their products........... BOY WAS I MISTAKEN, esp. at this price point. It will soon be a year since I have made the purchase, and after a multitude of attempts , along with a multitude of excuses and ignorance, I still do not have my problem resolved by Beretta. It is a very simple fix - My 1301 DID NOT HAVE THE DROP OR CAST SHIMS INCLUDED IN THE BOX, the seller told me to piss off - it is Beretta's problem. These two items are ruffly 25.00 dollars a piece + shipping, but after paying 1600.00 hundred and already having paid for the missing items, I DO NOT THINK I SHOULD HAVE TO SHELL OUT ANOTHER DIME. THEY HAVE USED EVERY EXCUSE UNDER THE SUN (WHEN THEY DID REPLY) THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND, the server is down, we have technical problems, you need to contact another division, on and on! I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER BERETTA PRODUCT ...PERIOD! THEY COULDN'T GIVE ME ONE - IT PROBABLY WOULDN'T BE ALL THERE ANYWAY. I CAN GUARENTEE "I WILL SHARE THIS "CUSTOMER NO SERVICE"" WITH EVERYONE WHO WILL LISTEN TILL THE DAY I DIE". It was just a few months later that m Mossberg came out with their new SHOTGUN .... boy oh boy do I wish I would have held off for a few months before making my purchase. Man, that’s messed up! Customer service is supposed to be a lifeline and this is what they give you? If you were in a stressful situation, you are in a world of hurt. I hope you can get this resolved. The other options are sending it back and getting a refund. Or buying another brand like a Mossberg 930 SPX or a Benelli M-4. I wish you the best of luck with your decision.

This hasnt gotten any better. Have a brand new 80x that jammed solid on first shot. Submitted warranty service request online. No response for 5 days so far. Called and was on hold for 30 mins before selecting a call back. No call back. Tried call again and same experience. Tried chat and no one ever connected. Going to bite the expense and go to my own smith and then just never ever buy Beretta again.

seems like a sketchy process for them to be contracting out third party gunsmiths for repairs. they probably have very little if any oversight or quality control over those contracted gunsmiths. Best to just have beretta themselves do it even if it takes longer.

What comes to mind, when I first see this .... did you release the "magazine tube catch"? It's underneath, behind the carrier, in front of the trigger guard. Sometimes that catch gets engaged when single feeding too many times. After all, there really is no reason to single load a semi-auto shotgun THAT many times without loading the magazine tube. It's a "Tactical" move that is rarely utilized in real life.

SHIT. I dropped my M4 aspirations after realizing they are sold out everywhere and 50% more expensive. Beretta apparently owns Benelli so is there any difference? Now I have to rethink 1301 idea. Mossberg is not cool looking. Weird gold parts. Maybe I will wait for M4. Idk

I have watched your video before, I re-watch it to reassure myself I am not the only one suffering form BERETTA'S CUSTOMER NO SERVICE" for what it is worth. Beretta is not only the oldest but also one with a higher reputation, and costly! HOW THEY MANAGED TO GET OR HOLD ON TO THAT IMAGE is, as you say "UNF##KING BELIEVEABLE"!!!!! i'M HAPPY THAT YOU AT LEAST -once- MANAGED TO TALK TO SOMEONE WHO GAVE A CHIT. though I doubt they gave you a means to contact him again..... gee - why would you be able to talk to someone who is aware of your situation when you can repeat your entire story with each and every new contact, or phone transfer? I heard the frustration in your voice. Been there. You don't want extra or special or spectacular. Just make it run like it's suppose to when they advertise it and sell it to you. I’m getting ready to purchase a Beretta a300 ultimate patrol. This definitely doesn’t make me jump and down for joy about the customer service at beretta ! Second guessing mt decision on a tactical 12 gauge shotgun. I will pay double for a gun if I’m assured good customer service.
