That was so amazing to watch, Aunt Linda is Truly Devoted to being as prepared as she can be. I agree with Grandma and Grandpa Griffiths she don't need that dress for a long long time. Please tell her how proud we are of her, From my family to her and you all. I love how she is so Proud of Amelia being a part of the family. I love how when you told her she wouldn't need the dress and to check it off as well as think of something else It really warmed my heart when she said A Christmas party. It's so interesting how someone with developmental delays thinks about death and life in such a pure and not fearful way. We have so much fear in this life about what may or may not happen and it is just beautiful to see how Linda is so accepting of what is and not scared of whats to come. If only we could all be a little more like Linda!
OH we are more like Linda today than ever before. So many ( young and old) suffer from anxiety and panic attacks about these sorts of things each and every day . Lol
@@aspenrobinson8797 I agree with the anxiety part but most people don't plan and talk about and look forward to their funeral without feeling sad or scared about it. The way Linda feels almost overly excited about what it will be like is just precious.

I am a health care assistant in Canada and have had many many patients with CHF. A lot of my patients…you’d never know they have it. Patients can live a long time with it but it does depend on the patient. I have also seen people wanting to plan for the future no matter what it entails. For some it’s a coping mechanism and I think it can be beautiful. I’m so glad she has you guys. Your family is so strong and loving ❤️ My great aunt Anne passed away in 2017 from cancer and she was a lot like beautiful miss Aunt Linda. My aunt didn’t know what was happening and she didn’t know to prepare. I think it would have helped her. I’m glad Linda has this 💓 She’s a smart, beautiful human ❤️❤️
If you've never seen the documentary "Life According to Jon", I highly recommend it. He's a man who was born with Down Syndrome which caused him to be profoundly disabled and dependent. His family accepted him and his way of moving through life with honesty, compassion, and humor. At the end of the documentary, Jon's sister relays a conversation with a spiritual teacher where she was given the opportunity to ask, "What purpose does a person like Jon have by being born here?" (paraphrased) She was told, "People like your brother don't come here to learn as we do. They come to teach." I have always remembered this and treasure those, like Linda, who we may perceive to be "lacking" when the opposite is true. WE are the ones who are lacking and they come to remind us/show us. Thank you for sharing your family with us.
I understand perfectly about Aunt Linda. My family had a developmentally disabled man as part of our family since he did not have family left until his death. He brought joy and love to our family. We miss him dearly.

I could never think you were thinking lightly of this situation. I've been working with mentally challenged people for 20 years now and I understand her anxiety and worries. She has such a wonderful and pure heart. I love watching these updates. I do hope she's with us a while longer though!!😊💕

Linda has blessed so many people with her kindness and pure heart. The dress is so fitting for her. She will be an angel! As far as her personal belongings, my grandmother wanted her transistor radio with her. My sister and I set it on her favorite station. That is the way she would’ve wanted it. The ending of beautiful lives always weighs heavy on my heart. For my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary I arrange a photo shoot for them in the park where we picnicked in my childhood. When we got the pictures back my grandma pulled me aside and said “Hannah, I want you to use this one for my funeral”. I looked at my grandma in utter disbelief. I had never spoken about death and funerals with her, or anyone for that matter, and frankly the idea of losing her pained me so deeply that I refused to take her seriously. It was only 6 months later that I watched as my grandma took her last breath. She knew it was her time, and she was ok with it. Those photos will forever remind me of how wonderful life can be, and that death is not just the end, and how it’s not a big scary thing that’s going to destroy everything. There is beauty in death too.

That's what I was thinking. Does Linda understand death as a concept? It sounds like she think's it's sort of a memorial/celebration and she has to act it out. Maybe if she can't stop thinking/talking about it she would like to do a fake funeral of some sort? I know that sounds ridiculous or insensitive, but maybe that's what she's thinking, like it's a huge celebration of her life where she lies down with her eyes closed and everyone celebrates her I love how down to earth you all are, I was brought up with a much stricter religious family
@@Harry-fk5of I think if she knows she will meet her parents who are no longer around, she gets the idea of death meaning she wont be around this world either. And by asking his brother to come along that means she knows they are not going with her, and that they get to stay longer in earth.
