i really appreciate these videos. I am in a similar situation, my wife has been diagnosed with early stage dementia. She started 5 mg momentum 1 year ago, the have recently increased the dosage to10 mg. The neurologist thought hearing aids would be beneficial so even though money was super tight I bit the bullet and got her the best, after all she is my best friend and life long companion. A little about us, I am 73 a 100% disabled veteran, My wife is 69 years young. We have been married for 53 years, we live in central NY. We have one son DIL, and two beautiful grandson's. My wife has shown some improvement with the medication, she is currently working part time as a private provider of an older dementia patient, she loves her job and it keeps her active. I am rambling, I know this is a scary road for my honey but I am trying to give her as much room as she needs. I am going to watch your travels and hopefully learn a few tricks. Dawn, I get upset with people when I drive but I have not cut down on driving. But I have prayed much about it and that has helped me. So I understand why you don't drive much. Humans don’t get that most times, but when difficulties come around and we need to face them, it is a comfort to let God lead our lives. I’ve been through several life trials and God is my comforter. Hi Dawn, my name is Dawn, too! and I think we are probably the same age. The lord is guiding you both and I believe in my heart that all will be fine. Dawn, when I was 30, I started having problems with my right leg. It was giving out when I was walking and I would stumble and sometimes fall. I was also having major migrains and a feeling of dripping inside my head. I also had major neck stiffness. I had always been healthy before that. Anyway, I had all the tests and went to several Drs and specialists and none could figure out what was going on. I even had a Dr say I had MS. He did some more tests and discovered it was just scar tissue of some kind in my brain, not MS. After several months and tests, one Dr noticed, by chance, something in one of my MRIs. A portion of my lower back happened to be viewable in a leg/ hip MRI he was reviewing. In that image he realized that I had inflammation in the area of 2 disc's in my lower back. He had a spine specialist look it over and they had me get another MRI on my lower back. With that, Drs figured out that I had 2 lower disks inflammed and out of wack. Those disks were pushing on the nerves and an artery that goes down my leg and up my spine to my neck and head. That was creating the numbness in my leg and the neck and head problems. I never had back problems or pain, so that was never looked into. It was by chance that he happened to see that little portion of my spine on the MRI. All I needed to fix my issues were physical therapy, rest, massage occasionally, and advil. I was told to never run or stomp and not to sit or stand for long periods. Drs said I would most likely need surgery on those disks when I'm older. I'm 53 now and have been cautious of those disks through the years. I even had my back and neck Xrayed and reviewd through the years and all looks good so far. So, maybe have your spine looked at to make sure there isn't anything pinching nerves or arteries causing your problems. God bless you both and your family. Keep the faith. Jesus loves you! ❤ 😊

I have MS (no meds), heart Disease, and don’t make adrenaline. My mom got early onset dementia and she as soon as angry for a short time. I had the privilege of making her smile everyday and spending her last years making her smile. God Bless, you have an amazing family.
Thanks for the update, and keep a positive attitude. Don't depend on one doctor. Get 2nd and even 3rd opinions. You're your own best advocate for your health. Keep up with researching your symtoms and keep a journal. I'm 70 and an 8 year breast cancer survivor. If I had not stepped in and done my own research I'm afraid I wouldn't be here today. It took 3 doctors to decide what type and grade of breast cancer I had, but one doctor was hell bent on starting chemo anyway! Nope, wouldn't do it! Right after my radiation treatments a huge tumor was found in my chest wedged between my aorta and my esophagus. The tumor had a tail that wrapped around my esophagus. When I would lay down to sleep it would tighten up and cut off my breathing. It took 3 months and a lot of tests to finally find out what was wrong. I had successful thoracic surgery and the tumor was removed. Been good ever since. Well, almost.....I was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease 4 years ago and I definitely didn't fit into the symptoms of someone who would get it. It's usually diabetics and people with high blood pressure that end up with the disease. There's a family history of kidney issues in my family, but we also went back and found out how many scans I had done with the dye contrast. That's likely what brought on my problems. Just keep researching, live your life, hand it over to God and pray! God Bless you all and have a wonderful ThanksChristmas and just be grateful for a wonderful support system and loving family. Well Dawn, we half much in common. About a month ago I was diagnosed with small vessel disease. I too had an MRI that showed that the vessels in my brain are leaking. I didn't think much about it 😮. I will just let the Lord lead me. I pray for you Dawn and your family

She knows a lot of how the body and cells work. Like how we drink alot of water but it does not get into the cells, and why. She explains it all even with a white board. She is a Christain of course. Points to our Creator for all of this. I thot it may help ya to give her a listen. Let the Father lead of course. Ask Him. Read her story. He will lead. I hoped if nothin else, she WILL help you to understand more about this. I felt like you were looking for that in yr words spoken in this video. Robert & Dawn my heart aches for you. Almost 4 years ago my wife (at 52 years old) was diagnosed with Frontal Temporal Dementia. In the beginning i didn't know what to do and began to research as much as i could. Because there is no cure for this you have to learn to navigate how to handle simple every day tasks. Robert as a caregiver for 4 years i can tell you that you have the ability to do what is needed for Dawn's best care. Your heart is in the right place and I can see that you will always make the best decisions for Dawn and yourself. Lean on your support team when needed and make sure that you have some time for yourself to process what is going on. Dawn I pray that they find some sort cure for what you have. God first, family second and everything else comes after that.

Having a strong family support system is truely a blessing. I can somewhat relate. In 2020, I lost my father-in-law, my wife's aunt and my father in a span of 4 months. It was extremely difficult for our family and even today is difficult at times but we still help my mother, sister ( who has MS ) and my mother-in-law with bills and daily life. I truely wish I had spent more quality time with them in the short time I had. Bless you and your family and happy Holidays to everyone.

Hey Robert and Dawn so happy to see ya'll. You always think you gave time but nit akways. Maje memories tons of them. Taje puctures! The hardest thing for my daughter is that she was so busy trying to take care of things while i took care of my husband that she has few pictures with him. She was behind the camera making sure others had their memories. Dawn i pray that the diagnosis of early onset dementia is wrong. I look forward to tge cooking videos. The shrimp and broccoli pasta is made at least twice a month here still! We all adire 7t.
Like the idea of growing some of your own plants to use on cleanups. Had thought before about adding a winter-grade used modular to the existing home, rather than do a full build at this time. Check into ground heating/cooling of a greenhouse, takes over 200 feet of buried flex pipe, and perhaps a heat controller. Can also take route that heat, or cooling, to heat the home.

Robert what happened to your arm?? sweet lady, I do NOT have fibomylagia BUT I DO have Reflex Sympathic Dystrophy Syndrome in both my legs, which I have had since 1998 from an accident at my former job. RSDS and Fibro are the same in a lot of ways. My late mother also had Fibro, and my sister in Law also has it. It sucks always being in pain. I have also been diganosed with Sjogerns disease, which is genitic ONLY though the mothers line. Stared having symptons for about 4 yrs, and was finally dignosed with it 3 yrs ago., along with spinal osteoarthritis. so pain 24/7.. But like you, I don;t let me get me down. I do not let the pain control me or take over my life, I gave my life to God and he is always there on the harder days, and My faith is, like yours, strong. So BY all means, LIve your life and enjoy it with Robert, Sons, Kevin and Rachel and James, and the Grandkids. health issue slow you down, but you adapt to things, do things a little differently but never let it control you. You both have great sons, cause of the way you both raised them, with love, with God, with compassion, so no surprise when son Kevin comes around and offers you both a place on his and Rachel's homestead. ever think of just buying a shipping container??
