Ultimate Self-Defense Championship Patreon page: www.patreon.com/USDC USDC Discord chat: discord.gg/aZW8rejePn These are the recommendations I was given for my Long Covid that helped me: - coenzyme Q10 - 500mg resveratrol - alpha lipoic acid - acetyl l carnitine supplements to prevent illness, because of weakened immunsystem: - vitamin c 1g - omega 3 (1g epa) - zinc 40mg - NAC 600mg activities: - focus on good and a lot of sleep - long walks to restore mitochondrial function - ice baths before training - infra redlight (helps every cell it hits to produce 18x more energy, no limit) I also take vitamin D+K2, Iron and probiotics. Fun fact: the intro of this video was filmed at the end. You can see the difference in my energy levels, as during the main filming I still had energy left, but at the end (when filming the intro) I was already spent 😅

Those are excellent supplements for anti-viral as well as anti-aging. No doubt people give you all sorts of unsolicited advice, why would I be different, lol. I would add the amino acid L-Lysine. It is a proven anti-viral. It works by limiting the virus' ability to use your cells to replicate. There is no proof, as yet, that it works with c0vid but at the minimum it can help with secondary infections. Another supplement I would add is Quercetin. Quercetin helps the zinc actually get in the cells.

I donated an irresponsible amount of money (lol, yolo) to USDC2 so I I got an email saying that I can watch the first 2 episodes on patreon if I want, but I'd prefer to wait until they get released on the main channel because it will feel more like the hype for the first season where everyone was waiting a week for each new episode and there was a huge frenzy when the episode finally got released. It's just more fun to watch with knowing thousands of other people are seeing it and looking down at the comments sections full of thousands of comments saying that this is one of the best things on youtube.

Hey man, I just wanted to say that I've been dealing with crushing fatigue and sleepiness for over a year at this point and I've been continiously told that there is nothing wrong with me, that I'm just lazy/unmotivated, depressed, that I need to exercise more and stuff, even though I was by no means inactive before. Your story is a very unfortunate yet eye-opening example of how even people who are active can suffer from fatigue and how doctors (at least in my experience) quickly jump to the conclusion that if you're tired, you're just lazy, since "we're all tired". You're clearly an extremely resilient and hard-working person and yet even you have been struck down with fatigue and brain fog. It took me over a year to finally convince my GP to refer me to a neurologist to test for sleep disorders after having to bash my head against a wall trying to explain to everyone that it really isn't my fault that I'm so tired and sleepy. I just want to say that I wish you the best of luck. Fatigue and brain fog are very misunderstood and underestimated by many people, including medical professionals. But this is not to say that this isn't real. Take care Rokas, take as much time as you need to recover.

I was stuck in the room shivering and looking out the window all day at a guy in a crane going up and down a high rise cleaning the windows, and some old woman came out on to her balcony every two hours to smoke a cigarette. Best holiday ever....... Also suffered with the brain fog and a strange almost spinning sensation for quite some time after. It takes a while but you'll get there. Resting effects of COVID ain't no joke. Comes from both COVID itself and even from the shot. For me, Omicron kicked back my asthma that was gone since 7th grade and had me on inhalers for couple months. I feel you, wish you swift recovery, and take as much time for yourself. Although I am beyond thrilled to go on yet another epic adventure with USDC, you deserve rest and sound recovery. It sucks not being able to do what you love because of your body failing (I too share your pain at the moment), but recovery is just as important task and requires all the efforts you can give. Hearty meals, great sleep, ample love. Keep it going till you're ready to fly in the gym, and never say enough! We're a supportive community, and we martial artists are patient bunch so don't stress! Love from Korea, hope you feel the support. ***some s3 ideas to share to keep your thoughts stimulated; maybe couple weapons (knife, sword, sling, bow, etc.) experts and/or veterans? From my personal experience, everyone I know that got the shot (Pfizer) and didn't get super sick from Covid are feeling just fine, even people with a history of allergies. I, on the other hand, got a very bad Covid infection and ended up with long Covid. If I am not mistaken, that's what you see happening with populational data as well. Chances are taking shots is still safer than not doing it. As for me, after two long years I still don't feel like myself. Brain fog is getting slowly better, as well as my energy levels, but it feels like I am going to end up in a sub-optimal plateau. Long Covid is no joke. I wish the best of luck to all of you out there that are going through the same! Let's follow Rokas' example and never give up. Stay weel y'all!

Much love to you, Rokas! I've learned from a major bout with the worst depression of my life is that if you don't help yourself first, you can't help anyone else. "Help" being used loosely here, as that can mean give, entertain, teach, etc. etc. Sometimes it sounds/feels selfish, but when it gets that serious it's actually the opposite. I loved USDC season 1, the editing was phenomenal (you're seriously a pro at that) so I, being poor, have only my dreams. I spread my dreams at your feet. Tread softly, lest you---wait a sec...I'll rephrase that. Being poor, I have no problems waiting until September for all of season 2. Which is odd coming from someone as impatient as me. I'm glad you found things that work for you! supplements when sick aren't a bad idea, as you may be over-utilizing certain nutritional resources in the fight, and your ability to extract those from regular food may be compromised (or they may not be present in sufficient amounts in food)!

When I have the finances man, I am coming for your Patreon ASAP. You deserve to protect your creative freedom on this project because it is so amazing already. You deserve to keep doing what you love and is working before considering making changes to your approach if you don't think it would help!! I'm so glad you are recovering well; health is a primary concern. For real stay strong on your vision for the show, real fans aren't gonna shame you for being this awesome. Large audiences are hard to manage; I'd say be clear about communication but unafraid to establish boundaries like in any relationship. Don't be put off by a supporter threatening to not support you bc they want to exercise some sort of control; clearly, they weren't the right investor because they didn't believe in the vision you pitched. Thems the breaks, but Patreon/crowdfunding shouldn't ultimately restrict your ability to create how you want to. Your artistic project is not a publicly traded company (perhaps my opinion), and you should absolutely hear out your supporters concerns but yeah, just be clear about communication of what support means and provide a way to hear concerns out and respond to them. Be firm about how you're doing things if you need, don't be wrathful, and just don't lose sleep about people who can't agree to disagree with ya if it comes up~ Seriously going to be showing your show to as many of my friends as I can. Love it my guy.

I’ve had COVID twice. The first time I was knocked out for 2 weeks in the manner you described. Couldn’t do anything but sit on the couch and exist and then take a nap because even that was exhausting (it was a terrible time to have a new puppy, let me tell you). A year later I got it again but bounced back in 48 hours…almost…for about 5 months I lost all energy to do anything besides work and chores every now and again. Take your time and don’t be hard on yourself for not being able to do as much as you used to. Recovering from illness is work too.

I have suspected myself having long covid before but now I am sure of it. Even easy tasks seemed an insurmountable burden to me. Just yesterday I managed to accomplish everything I planned but still felt down. Your video boosted my morale. Hope you will recover. I am aware that amateur MMA fights are a pure competition unlike professional ones which contain elements of show. Still if given a chance to use entry song, I think "Kariai pagonys" will suit you well.

@MartialArtsJourney, brother, I've been through long Covid for years now so I can completely empathise with you. It impacted my life so much, it's fair to say it ruined it to some extent. Big hugs and fingers crossed for you. I connected to you and subscribed to your channel as I was an Aikido practitioner myself and I really support your journey as it's close to my heart. And now, I felt like there is another thing that we have in common, although long Covid is not the nicest thing to share. All the best for you. Waiting for new videos, but don't strain yourself :)

Take care of yourself and don't worry what anyone says. You know your body. I recommend lots of sunshine to help out with vitamin D. In winter time it's very easy to get low.

People being dismissive about how other people are feeling is probably the worst thing that can happen to someone especially if its people close to you. I hope you are getting better and I am sorry you had to go through the experience of people being dismissive about it. I hope you can get back to your usual energy level eventually!

So sorry to hear you got long covid with the chronic fatigue. I have one friend who caught it right at the start of the pandemic in London where she was at the time. She experienced the same symptoms you describe. Still does 4 years post-pandemic. It's heartbreaking when you see what it does to people. My friend was previously an athlete and training hard (was a decent competitor) but after catching long Covid basically meant the end of her career. So sorry to hear you got it man. I am aware that there are places that are trying to do alternative treatments (i.e. in Germany) to try and tackle long Covid but don't take my word for it, do your research. Curious: What supplements have you/are currently using to tackle your symptoms? I sincerely hope you don't just feel better but do become better. Always been a fan of you.

Im 95% sure it's long Covid, what will you do? Have a lot a vitamins, drink much water, eat a LOT of healthy foods, sleep more than 8h a day, maybe 10h a day if your body asks for it. And this is the way i got rid of the symptoms of long covid.

Hello Rokas, thank you for your Covid19 sharing. I an similar experience. Me and my family first Covid19 infection in early 2022. None of my colleagues & my wife believe me when I say I cannot think properly & make decisions properly. There so much uncertainty and worries going over my head. Being a first time dad to my son. I feel I fail him even today. And my senior think I am just giving excuses tat I feel very tired and cannot deliver many projects in time. But I still need to work and earn a living for my family sake. So I kept my head down and keep my ego in check. My family got a second infection in April 2023. And my wife start to understand what I mean by the Long Covid I felt back in 2022. My senior at work got her 1st Covid19 infections in 2024. The same happened to my wife's employers. Now hopefully they will understand the challenges we face. So I feel you of this 'Pain'. Hang on there and don't give in. There are people who depends on you. So do not keep ur head down for too long. Get up and get going! PS: I am interested of the supplements tat you were introduced to help with your long Covid journey of recovery. Please share. Thank you.

So just stay strong, after 8 years i diddnt really know annything else so you do kind of get used to it. Dont worry about the time thing, i sort of just forget about this and then i remember it at a randome time. I might forget about this and remmeber it a year from now 😂 Really excited for it though!!!

The moment you said you were still feeling terrible, no energy, and brain fog, I thought, “Sounds like Long COVID.” How your doctors missed that possibility is mind boggling honestly. Hopefully more research can be done into it so remedies can be found. Luckily it seems that it does go away after a few months and most symptoms are gone after a year.
