The thunder god with the taiko drums is called Raijin, and on the bridge stage Raijin's forces of thunder are at war with Fujin's forces of wind. Raijin and Fujin are often depicted as a pair or as opponents. My guess is when that wind ninja character comes out, we'll be going left on the bridge to face him as a boss

The reason why gold is used for electrical contacts is not it's conductive properties which are worse than copper by the way but the non -reactiveness of gold makes it a great coating for contacts which do not oxidize any more. He's based on the Japanese god of lightning/thunder called Raijin.

Seeing as he's an oni, then the wind could be from a Tengu. They both come from Japanese lore. Mayhaps the third is likewise. I think an ice weapon would be cool.

I discovered something neat about this character. Give Scorej-Oni the Muramasa and it strikes lightning each time that sword drains health as it counts as a hit. Just be sure to have a healing weapon to offset or you'll be sucked dry.

The video not being 16:9 and also not being able to hear the lightning at all really threw me off the whole time. I love your videos, but I really wish that this was the correct aspect ratio and I could hear the sound of the rings. It would make this video much better.

I believe the character is based off of the god Raijin. I used to play smite and they kinda look the same.

It would be great if you put a designator, tag, or mention at the start that this is the Beta version. So confused and looking through comments to see why I have never seen this. The title "Update!" is a tad misleading in that way. Just a suggestion

The character is based on an oni which I believe is Japanese not positive but its some Asian culture and basically it is where if you were evil you would be reborn as an ugly monster and it would be called an oni. I believe I have seen this character before though so I think it might be based on a specific oni story but not sure

As an Italian, I can't but laugh at the fact that 90% of the names in the game are bad puns, word games, anagrammed curses against saints/religion and TV characters, now constantly on the mouth of every youtuber. 🤣🤣 And I love when people try to find some lore in them XD "Scorej oni" is a malformed "Scorreggione". In Italian "Big farter". THAT'S why you find him by listening to his "Thunders" 🤣🤣🤣 Another example: "Pugnala" -> "Pugnale" -> "Baionetta" -> "Bayonetta" XD Big Trouser -> "Pantalone" (folkloristic Neapolitan mask and character) Minna Mannarah -> "WereTit" (it's actually a titty werewolf...) Divano Thelma -> "Divino Othelma". A TV tarot-reader "mage" famous in Italy in the '90s. Since he is fat, he always used to wear such flamboyant clothes. Every "Ladonna" character -> all curse variations against La Madonna (the religious figure Virgin Mary, not the singer :P )

Maybe don't banish the speed passive item and use that to outrun the enemies a little bit? Easier to control how many hit you.

So they're probably going to be 3 genies including Scorej Oni and the Wind one you mentioned, while the third will be a Land or Ground based one.
