*CRYPTO SCAM VICTIM?* As a Retired combat Marine I want to tell you that as what you are doing is just as important as any warrior on the battlefield. You are waging warfare against these criminals and terrorists on the digital battlefield. You are defending and protecting the most vulnerable of our society against these predators. Keep up the good work *STRONGWIDGET*
As an American I must say, you guys are doing God's work. If only our government paid some fking attention to these problems. *Strongwidget* I am sure you've heard this enough times already but we, the honest people of America, wholeheartedly support your venture and pray that this comes to an end soon.
Hearing these people's voices over the phone so thrilled to be evil, almost giddy sounding, is utterly disgusting. Thank you *STRONGWIDGET* all you and your team does to shut them scammers down.
These *Strongwidget* need to be shared with any and everyone's grandparents, elderly, or those who could succumb to these scams. It's sad that people like that exist God bless you for exposing these bastards and raising awareness so people are more vigilant and careful with their hard-earned money. I am an American and honestly, my blood boils when these stupid scammers try to scam innocent people. Keep up the good work
I'm a police officer and I'm tired of taking these reports where people are scammed anywhere from $700 to seriously $150,000. Its unfortunate that I have to sometimes tell them that I cannot do anything to bring them justice. (at my level at least) Seriously thank you *Strong widget* for fucking with these assholes. You make me want to spend the next 10 years learning how to do this lol
Man, this one hit me in the heart. She reminds me of my aunt, who is an incredibly giving person and donates more than anyone I know. Sometimes her kindness is taken of advantage of, and it makes my blood boil. Thank you guys for saving her $980,700. You dramatically changed her life for the better. The scammers don't stop after 1 success. Thank you, thank you, thank you Nicholas and *Strongwidget* on the internet team. You guys are heroes to me. I am from Korea and I love you for doing this *Strong widget* . These scammers are worse than insects, ruining most country's and city's name. I don't know how are they so proud of scamming people. I pray that anyone who reads this get a successful money recovery in life. Successful people don't become that way overnight. What most people see at a glance-wealth, a great career, purpose is the result of hard work and hustle overtime
Love this Dude! He's such a reliable and respected source. I love that he's so simple about things and we get to see that wholesome recovery . Loved this one, *Strong widget* ! Congrats!

@@AddieMoore-South Good advice for general Internet searching it should be OK but anything while you’re in putting any information you don’t want to send it through that Netwerk
@@DavidKen878 I found out that tap to wake was the problem because I put a lock that I put on my locker at work on the display and that triggered it to try to face unlock and I did it three times in one day.
Not just that, but the information on how to do these kinds of things is everywhere and in some cases dumbed down to a level of simplicity so that even the “newbiest of newbs” could learn how to do it.
I quit watching when the narrator said that when you get onto one of these bad networks that they can see everything that you’re doing. It really just isn’t true. Most of the communications in your various apps are encrypted. Your email is encrypted, your web browsing is encrypted, your cloud storage is encrypted, and your chatted is encrypted. Yes, there is some truth here but this video is not the place to get it.
Right. The user would have to be tricked into downloading a keylogger or giving access to your device. Some things like session hijacking could happen but mostly the hackers are looking for easy targets. Wealthy to middle class tourists who have little security and no brains.
1:43 Means that the hacker is using their equipment while they are on a flight! That's quite brazen- the airlines should have scanners to be able to detect non authorized wifi points as that can also be a safety risk.
The solution the media isn't talking about is wireless carriers making putting up more connectivity. Many more people have phones that use a lot more data now yet wireless carriers are still using access point locations from several years ago
Be cautious of EVERYTHING and everybody. We are living in times where scam artists are becoming more technologically advanced and manipulative. Scams are everywhere you go, sometimes it is hard to tell the difference from something genuine and something that is fake. Go with your gut instinct! If something sounds too good to be true, or just doesn't sound, feel, or look right, there's probably something weird going on. Be safe everyone
Only one issue. Some banks and other sensitive websites won't allow a VPN for some reason? This opens people up to this scam! Never connect to your bank unless you're on a wifi connection you absolutely know is safe!! I've had several banks that do this when you contact them they don't care they hate VPNs because your anonymous encrypted.
Some operators don't like VPNs because nefarious users might use them to upload/download illegal content, manage illicit servers and networks, conduct scams and hacks, etc.
@@abetterfuture4787i wouldnt use a vpn logging into a bank for security reasons, i want them to log my ip and device info so that if my account is accessed from a different ip or device it throws up a red flag
What's the difference even if you use your phone it still don't tell where you are. You are probably using a cell tower in another state anyways. Remember a cell connection is a dynamic. Meaning it can change
I just disabled my 'Auto-Join Hot Spot' under my WiFi setting on my smart phones. I never thought about it until this report. Hackers should endure a special kind of punishment. Kind of equivalent to a Soviet style Gulag, perhaps next door to the pedophiles.
“First discovered in 2011?” “First became popular?” LOL! No. This has always been an issue. It’s why Apple had to update the iPhone 3G to stop automatically connecting to McDonald’s and AT&T WiFi hotspots around 2008… which was a thoroughly predictable vulnerability.
Wow that is such an old trick, amazing it's still around. 2:30 "Downloading a VPN"? No, you *set* a VPN up. You may have to download an app or not, depending.
Let's be real here, most windows users are not going to have the technical expertise to setup a VPN without a helper app. That being said they could use a travel router which would help protect them.
Seriously refusing the vulnerable security. Serval company’s are playing with my accounts & I still have not fixed identity theft from 2011. Social security, Medicare & local health departments helps criminals by having tantrums & handle up. Seriously right now!
This is why I started being more intentional about using my hotspot. If my phone suddenly shows I lost connection but I still have wifi, it’s time to disconnect and continue elsewhere.
If you only do money transactions over the counter in banks and don’t have cash/finance apps on your phone you can’t be scammed. One of the rare cases where refusing to modernise works for you.
Yes as long as you are the one making the hotspot yourself. thats how these "hackers" do it. Suggest putting a password on it before to keep any leechers off your hotspot.
Does using a VPN help at all? Are you gonna give any useful information here, or just chat away? OK, you did add this at the end. Just use a VPN everybody.
Data in this case. Public Wi-fi is fine as long as its the estiblishment Wi-fi and not some random in the area. Data is safe as long as its a Data hotspot of someone you know. Don't connect if you don't know.
How stereotypical...thanks what if im a evil twin . Why hurt my feelings , arent my feelings as important as stand alone device or a good twin. Sticks and stones can break my bones but names make me sad and pissed and me too!
