I have had a lot of requests to do an updated top 10 for life but I find it really hard to stick to just 10 so here is a spin on it; the perfumes I will keep repurchasing!:) 💗 I’d love to know, what are one or two fragrances (or more) that you will always repurchase??? Hi again ! Love your transparency in terms of inspired frags. Some channels mention them and rave but then you never see that brand again (like all the be layered reviews out there!)
You might already know this but if you check the back of your Miss Dior along the lower rim of the glass for an etched batch code you can find out which year you have. If the code starts with a 2, 3, 4 or 5 it is a 2012 formulation ( the code will be located on the far right of the very lower rim for 2012-2015 and middle to far right for later). It will need to be held in good lighting at an angle to see it clearly because at a glance it's totally invisible. Yours does appear to be the newer formula, but maybe not! My 3 bottles of the 2012 are all still very light peachy apricot, not dark at all. I've noticed the Miss Diors don't really change color over time. The 2012 is absolutely lovely, much in line with Coco Mad edt but even prettier. I haven't smelled the newer Miss Dior to compare but I am curious as to how they differ :)
I bought Kayali Vanilla 28 from your recommendation and I looove it. It reminds me of warm vanilla sugar from Bath&BodyWorks but with obviously higher quality. I just wish it lasted longer on me!
Sorry I’m so late in posting but I just watched this now (September of ‘22). My top 3 repurchases: Mon Paris by YSL, Moscow Mule from Juliette Has a Gun, and Musk 12 by Kayali. Appreciated the honesty of your choices! And I LOVE Chance! It’s also my favorite Chanel.

I agree on Delina vs Delina Exclusif. Delina is fresh, but also beast-mode. Delina exclusif is creamy, less rosy and to me it smells like Barbie dolls (in a good way) 😍. Olympea legend is my favorite and the only one I own, the other ones don't last on me that long😭. Mon guerlain intense is one of my all-time favorites (signature-scent-worthy) and la Belle I have loved ever since I got her. I've already emptied 2x50 ml bottles of her and now I have a 100 ml. I also can't wait for the new flanker! Sounds delicious. BR 540 I liked a lot, but i found an even better sorta dupe for it - Bond no. 9 TriBeCa. It's the burnt cotton candy vibe from 540 mixed with a very light coconut note. It's even more expensive than 540 but I'd rather pay more and wear something not everyone has or has heard of when it comes to 540 dupes. 🥰
Love this video! We have VERY similar perfume tastes. I would always keep BR 540 in my collection and La Vie Est Belle intensement! I recently bought it and I LOVE it even more than the original! SN: Juliana’s Perfume is great and the bottle looks SUPER gorgeous and very chic in my opinion!
Love the video! For now I would run out and repurchase Alien Fusion, Casablanca, The Only One, Mon Guerlian Sensulle, and La Nuit TRÉSOR À LA FOLIE. I can’t see myself without these fragrances.
I wanted to try miss dior for so so long and I finally got a bottle a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I think it's definitely in my top 5 along with coco mademoiselle, noir, alien and mon guerline ❤️

I feel like BR540 is really worth it opposed to many other niche scents. I tried so many niche scents but most of them were just good but not really unique and I don‘t see the justification for the price point. Baccarat Rouge however is so unique & luxurious smelling, as you already said. Great collection ❤️
We have such similar taste, except for BR540! Lol!! I too want to have a curated collection because I am a minimalist at heart. Right now I have limited myself to 30 full size bottles. But I have a huge box of over 500 samples and decants. I think my thing is to have a smell of everything of interest, but keep my actual collection small....
I totally disagree with the Kayali being too plain statement too, that scent has so much dimension. It’s not just sweat vanilla, it smells expensive and last so long.
This is something I've been wanting to talk about in a frag group but didn't want to insult anyone. La Vie Est Belle, Alien, SJP Lovely and Delina are revolting to me. They're so loved by so many influencers and women in general. Is there a common accord? Something wrong with my nose? I was especially surprised that I hated Delena. I do love the Chance line and Jazz Club is everything! Swooning.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with you at all! Sometimes we just don’t like the same scents as some others and sometimes we hate something for years then suddenly love it and vice versa:)

I'd have to say my faves are TF Tobacco Vanilla layered with Kayali Vanilla 28, MFK BR540 Extrait, MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold, Commodity Gold, and so many more! I am a complete perfume addict! Also I was wondering if you still work in nursing? I'm a nursing student at York U (I graduate this summer) and just thought it was a cool coincidence to find someone in nursing in the GTA who is as obsessed with perfume as I am!!
Flowerbomb of course and I have found a new one by Nanette Lapore called Beautiful Times. Uber feminine. Found through a subscription club and I know she has been a Fashion Designef for awhile now.Olympea would be on my list. Many more❣

Definitely gonna repurchase my Chloe signature edp 😊 probably violet blossom from Zara because many has said it has similar profile to Alien edp. But because I'm already used to & loving violet blossom, I don't know if i'm willing to blind buy Alien edp 🤔

I just wanted to say that I layered kayali vanilla with jazz club today and oh my god...kayali makes jazz club so much more wearable and feminine, and the combo makes both last longer!
You are right. I can never pick just 10 fragrances for life. OMG it happens that Mon Guerlain eau florale is one that I absolutely love and will always repurchase. I just got it. But I have no doubt about it. So here are some of my absolute lifers for now: Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming, Coco mademoiselle intense and Chanel N°5 Eau Premiere and the l'Eau version, Twilly d'Hermes, Gucci Bloom, Tom Ford Noir pour Femme, Valentino Donna, Narciso Rodriguez For her EDT, Mon Guerlain Eau Florale 😊, Libre and Mon Paris intensement by YSL, La Femme by Prada and Dolce Garden by Dolce and Gabbana.

Unfortunately the only one I’ve tried from those three is the Aqua and I have to say I still do prefer the original! The Aqua I found to be nice too but I still prefer the original to it:) if I ever try the others I will definitely compare them!:)
How heavy on the lavender is “lovely”?? I find the (original) mon guerlain to be WAYYY overpowering but curious about lovely as a softer scent for chill/relax

yes when I first smelled it I thought i had gotten a bad bottle! I had never smelled a musk like it before. :) I was also expecting something else, I had a baby inexperienced nose lol :) Now I love it.

I'm going to need a new bottle of SJP's Lovely soon, I also wear it to bed and spray it on my pillow at night too! Nothing's more relaxing. SJP's fragrances are so easy to wear; I plan to re-purchase SJP NYC Crush too. My others: Good Girl (I know, I know), Beautiful Belle by Estee Lauder (It's just so pretty), and *whispers* Britney Spears Prerogative (I gave it a chance, and now can't give it up). They're all so affordable and good for so many occasions!
I’m glad you feel the same as I do about SJP lovely! It really is the nicest scent for bed. I have yet to smell the prerogative, I hear a lot of good things about it!!
Delina is beautiful and I kind of wish I hadn’t sold it... I definitely jumped the gun with that one. It’s tart and fruity and a gorgeous rose fragrance, but I do prefer the creaminess and the more vanilla aspect of the Delina Exclusif.
I have a similar thing with La Belle. Sometimes I think it’s too sweet but when I wear or I keep sniffing myself. I haven’t gotten a full bottle yet though.
You’re right I don’t, I just realized!! I had decluttered my code cashmere and didn’t care for the others. I had also tried rouge malechite and vert malechite and both were not for me:)
I have the same bottle for my Alien Absolue. I hate how the gold on the cap doesn’t match the sprayer. The outside gold looks like a cheap gold color. Wish it was the same as the inside.

You actually have the 2014 version of Dior Addict which have very different notes than the screenshot you shared. It no longer has sandalwood in it among other notes that have been removed.
wow you're right! I just looked up the batch code and it was made in 2019 according to this website. It must be the bourbon vanilla I'm smelling that makes it creamy?? Its strange I could swear I smell sandalwood.
@@thesimplechiclifeI know right! The first time I smelt it, I thought some sort of sweet wood or cinnamon. This is from their website. "The white vanilla blossom produces a fruit that reaches maturity in 8 to 9 months. The pods are harvested just before they are fully ripe, and then undergo a 34-month maturation process Their fragrance develops and vanilla crystals form. The vanilla then unfurls its soft and spicy accords." So, it's different from the vanilla accord most other perfumes have, it's actually on the woodier side since it didn't fully mature before harvestation and then they age it. You gotta admire dior for the lengths they go to for the raw ingredients! :)

Got lucky and snagged a new 50ml Lovely gift set (came from Shoppers) from facebook marketplace for $10CAN! For me, it smells most similar to NR Pure Musc but less sweet.

I would so nice to see olympea there I would consider this my signature scent but I think maybe Chanel's crystal eu vert is my signature scent and another one would be Madeleine mono very much like fracas I'm right now I'm really enjoying kenzo's world delish.

I love flower bomb (and flower bomb midnight!) but it’s slightly too expensive for me, are there any other perfumes you would reccomend that smell similar?
Michael Malul london makes one called Electric Heart that is about 60% the price and smells very very similar but doesn't have as good of performance. They're not a dupe house but they have some fragrances that do smell similar to other designer fragrances. Otherwise Miss Dior is on the same line but not much more affordable.
@@thesimplechiclife i think i read on fragrantica that batch codes start repeating themselves after 10 years, so it's then either 2019 or 2009...or it might just be a mistake with the code..
@@thesimplechiclife I use Checkcosmetic.net and found them to be accurate. Dior does recycle batch codes every 10 years as well, but Miss Dior only started in 2012, after the Miss Dior Cherie 2011 reformulation.

Is the patchouli heavy in the Chanel Chance perfumes? I would think maybe I’d need to get samples just because I’m not sure if patchouli is the note my husband does not like at all. Jimmy Choo is his least favorite... I do love Lovely as well. I am also loving D&G The Only One Intense, a few from Lolita Lempicka and I really need to try Alien and Flowerbomb.
The patchouli in the Chanel fragrances is blended differently it smells cleaner and more sophisticated to me than in the Jimmy choo. The patchouli in Jimmy choo is similar to the patchouli in something like angel muse or angel, it’s a bit dirtier (not in a bad way) but they do smell very different
Wait the notes from Chanel coco mademoiselle and Miss Dior sound the same (orange patchouli thing) Do the smell somewhat similar? Or are they just in the same genre? I’m curious about Miss Dior now lol
