You literally taught me how to do makeup and as a young black girl it makes me so happy to see someone who looks like me represented in such a positive way I love you so much.
Ok yall, I asked about the highlighter and she came through. But this is my first time following an entire tutorial and BABY. My boyfriend and bestfriend could not stop smiling at how good it looked and how excited I was. I am 33 and could never get right. Thank you for this series, the tips and everything. Can't wait to start playing in Eye shadow colors

I’m just starting to learn make up and I already love your channel! So glad I came across it thank you so much for this beginners series because it’s a lot of us out here lol ❤️
I love your Beginner Series! I've always wanted to learn how to do make-up and I finally bought make-up (and started practicing) after watching your videos!
I love your series bc your the only one I can find who actually knows how to explain how to apply makeup for beginners ❤️ but can you also make a video on how to apply blush and where to apply it bc I’m a bit pale and I want some color on my cheeks.
I wanted to find a girl that looked like me skin tone wise to help me with the basic steps of a flawless face and girl you over delivered on this. I’m so happy I came across your video and I want to thank you for how simple and easy to follow it is 🙏🏾🥰
Girl! You are so beautiful! Thank you for this. I have been a professional makeup artist for 17 years but I’m always looking to learn and refresh my knowledge on black and brown skin tones! With the BLM movement, we are getting more and more beautiful skin complected talent like yourself, so thanks for the updates!
Just started my makeup journey and I’m on day 3 lol. I know it doesn’t feel like much but I’ve been watching your videos and I can honestly they have been so helpful. I had no clue what was what in the beginning but now I feel so confident and yesterday I did my full face and went to work, absolutely felt like a boss lady the whole day 😁
You’ve taught me soooo much!!! I’m a slow learner and I usually like a lot of detail to specific task. This was freaken perfect, super straight forward, tons of detail/tips. You taught me better than James Charles taught me. You are really good at this thank you soo much 🙏💘
Thank you so much for this! Your series is so easy to follow! Thanks for explaining things thoroughly! I'm 42 and have never applied make up! It's the whole beat face for me! 🥰
I Love, Love this updated BASICS video 😍.. I really appreciate that you mentioned that your SPONGE was WET... Most host don't say that the sponge is WET or DRY.. So, Thanks Shay🥰
This is my first time trying makeup and my mom did it with me. I'm 18 so I've always seen the makeup gurus and stuff like that, but this really was easy to follow and fun to do! Thank you soooo much! 🥰🥰🥰
I'm such a fan, I always enjoy your videos. I especially appreciate how you're so passionate & patient with making sure audience fully understand how to properly apply their skin care & makeup 💄.
Beautiful look, sis!! I am 51. Since I was 16, I never wore make up other than lipstick, eye shadow, and eye liner. Now Im in the 50 club and I want a more natural fresh cute look. My profile pick is what I looked like about 3 years ago and pretty much the same now. I like your videos. They are informative, instructional, and I am able to pick the make up for my skins tone and style.
Ok,do I watched this odor last night. Went to Walmart this morning & found almost everything you used in this video. I have some makeup at home BUT didn't know what to do with it. Let me just say that you taught my 50yr old self how to do makeup!!! I just finished my face while watching you this morning and it looks SO nice👌🏾 I'm headed to a wedding reception and can't believe I considered paying someone to do my makeup. You are 💣💣💣💣 and I can't thank you enough! Can't wait to watch your other videos 🤗🥰
This girl is absolutely beautiful 💯😍 she reminds me of me with skin tone face shape lip size cheek bones 💯 I'm glad i found her because this is exactly how I should be wearing my make up. I'm such a beginner with applying. I'm so used to the basic eyeliner mascara and lipgloss 😂💯
I am so glad that I found your channel. You literally taught me how to do my makeup and I used to think it was impossible! You are very good at explaining and demonstrating. Thank you for all the work you put into this, it definitely helped!!
This was so good. I went to get some products today and bought a bunch of stuff. Watched the one from a year ago, then watched this just now and now I have to go back. Lol. Thank you! Love your energy. 💫💫💫
I personally after coating my lashes with mascara 1 side of wand for each eye “front& back/ left&right” I then brush mascara through my eyebrows with the same pattern - not returning the wand to the barrel, just using up what is already on the wand.
When she took off the scarf and the edges were popping 10:56 🤩✨✨ yass queen 👸🏾 Also I love your content btw I’m getting back into makeup after a breakout I had in 2018 that caused me to stop wearing makeup. I have forgotten everything lol this channel have been a huge help to me!!
I feel your initial video was very good. I appreciate the idea and glad you did part 2. Over the past months I have added products. Although, they may not be perfect but I HAVE ALL the necessities. BUT...I do not practice. And I do not like to blend, blend, blend,,,.
Thank you so much for this video ! I’m 22 years old and i constantly mess up on makeup but I legit just purchased everything you said in this video ! I can’t wait to practice on my face 💕. Also , ELF has a lot of stuff on sale online . ( for ex the matte setting powder that’s normally $6 it’s $2.40 !
I love watching and listening to you, you explain everything in a matter people can understand. I’ll be sending your beginners video to my daughter who’ll be starting high school soon for when she gets into makeup.
@Slim Reshae God bless you young lady for educating a 47 soon to be 48. You are making this look so easy even though you are still growing. Keep on. I'm following you and got you on alert.
Thanks sooooo much for your beginner videos, as u may be able to see on my picture I dont wear makeup at all, I’m 35 and have never known how to put it on. All the videos I watch when I’m done I’m like huh? I’m getting a late start but thanks to you, I can do my makeup!😊😊😊
This routine is so awesome! I would love it if you did a quick video on lips/lip liner and maybe blush too? Either way, thank you. I feel like this series helped me get the basics down so that I can understand other youtubers better!
This is the first time I've seen someone use setting powder that wasn't 2 shades too light for their face....thank you for that. I'm still learning how to wear makeup and could never understand the setting powder thing (especially since it lightens people's face) but this tutorial was very helpful.
Girl, I just came across your beginner’s make up video this morning and I’m loving all your videos, I have watched couple of them this morning. Thanks so much for helping black girls like me out here. I’ll forever be grateful and yes you’ve earned a new subscriber and I’m here to stay 💃💃💃💃💃
I wasn't wowed by the nyx born to glow foundation but your making a good case for the foundation, it's looking gorgeous on you. I might have to test it out again.
tysm for saying this 19:33-19:37 bc my mom told me that i didn’t know what i was doing and it kinda hurt bc i really want to learn how to do make up. and to hear someone say that just makes my day.😊 (not saying that my mom is mean or anything like that btw) (i also love your vids)
Just wanted to say thank you! I have never applied makeup before but I have always wanted to so I started watching all of your videos and I’m so excited to try these looks out! Anyways your gorgeous and keep slaying queen 💕
I ❤❤ these! Ok back to the tutorial 😊. I don't gave a BR contour set, but I did purchase the Makeup Revolution bronzer, and I'm practicing with those, they're affordable @$12 each, online @ Ulta and I got a free Kylie lippie and free shipping 😊🙌🏿. Really wanna master bronzer 🥰
I watch your first 5 product video faithfully. It's been 3 months and I'm finally getting it down pact. I'm excited about this update one. Now I need to go get these new product to add on.
Hey. I just started watching you videos because I was doing something wrong with my make up 😂😂. So I'm learning from scratch and your videos are the best I found on RU-vid 🙌🏾🙌🏾. I do have a quick question. Do I always use a damp sponge?
thank you so much!!! and it just depends on my laziness - i try to use a damp sponge over dry or if its dry spray some setting spray on it so you can dampen it a little
I truly Loved the tutorial, I've never used any primer or concealer when wearing my makeup, but watching your tutorial has been very helpful, thank you so much. But I would like to know where can I find the ELF products that you used in your tutorial?
I'm old lol but I am so grateful to have found your channel. I've been nervous about make up for the longest but with practice and your tutorials I feel equipped with all the information and tools I need without spending a fortune!! Thank you again
I can never stay consistent in learning makeup, but I always come back to your videos. Lol. I feel like my face looks flat after I apply foundation. Does that mean I've applied too much?
Omg! My first time watching you and I think I watched two videos already😩😂it’s the patience for me. I’m a beginner and your tutorial was by far the best I watched💄💋🥰 thank you for taking out time to teach us🤩☺️
Thank you for this. I actually did this with you step by step and I love the results. Keep the tutorials coming because I am here for it. Stay bless beautiful 🙏🏽🤗💄
So what’s the difference between the setting powder and the pressed powder? Is the setting powder just for concealer use? And the pressed is for all around foundation, contour, etc?
