A comprehensive tutorial for ripping BONELAB. This tutorial is vastly more informational and has more info/tips than my previous one, making it outdated. I put in several tips to help you do some pretty useful things. Enjoy!

Now.... i know why my rips are always broken. Who would think an 8 gigabyte game would be over 90 gigabytes once ripped.

Directly after you rip, its around 35gbs, if you migrate everything over, its 90 or so

@@Atlas_966 I usually only had 19-28 gigs available, think 30 at most. It's the only reason we haven't seen the peasantlet yet. Each attempt always fell short and left things missing.

its not working it says Unable to read MonoBehaviour Structure, because script Base layout mismatched binary content (ArgumentOutOfRangeException).

I learned how to make custom NPCs for patch 3 and stuff but the SDK and everything is broken now and all the other custom NPC mods are outdated, do you think you could do a tutorial on how to make custom NPCs soon? Once you get the hang of it ofc.

What should I do if it says I don't have enough space on the disk even though I have 135GB free? I'm presuming its going off the C: drive (which has 7GB free) though BONELAB and the AssetRipper files are on my F: drive.

@@jwsb350 hmm.. I’ve never seen this issue occur, no clue. Try joining the asset ripper discord and asking in there, that’s your best bet.

Been trying to follow along with the tutorial but the rip of the game after the update doesn't look like what's being showed as I'm finding the same things but scattered across many folders. could use a more up to date version of this or some one on one help, also the 6th link doesn't work anymore.

Prefabs and scenes are scattered. Thats why we search for .prefab and .unity. I’ll fix link 6 tomorrow, and I’m not sure if I’ll be making a new tutorial anytime soon.

@@Atlas_966 sorry, windows 10 didn't want to sort through the filetypes at first and just presented me with several prefab folders, got them now. Also you didn't specify to search for .unity for the scene in the video you just pointed to where it should be based on the mod you ripped for the example but I'm glad I know now thanks!

For some reason my levels in unity are just showing up as collisions with no textures

at 6:59 , i dont see any scene files, and there are four inside of the scenes folder

im going to try installing a dev save so i have technically "entered" all of the levels then open the game and see if that works

Using a dev save won't change anything. Search for ".unity" in your bonelab rip, and see what comes up.

what do i do about a completely pink shader? it doesnt have a missing shader, it usually just doesnt have one at all

Hmm.. you might be asset migrating it wrong. It would help if you were able to send me a picture of your scene on my discord.

@@Endgamez04 yup, load the bundles from the streaming assets folder into asset ripper and treat it the same as if you ripped the entire game

how are we supposed to know what to do if it does crash or give errors?

You’d have to be more specific. What step does it crash on? If it crashes make sure to press ctrl z to put the conversion output files back

when i brought the files in to unity it crashed and i had a bunch of errors. i just wanted to know how to solve the errors
