Today, I ran across your video on how to sew a band on a lace wig, I have a full lace. I was so frustrated from the way I was told to sew the band on. The wigs still didn’t fit right. so as I was watching your video, I learned something new, you said put it close to the edge of the lace. I Followed your instructions and sewed the band on and it fit really nice. I’m gonna use this method on my other wigs I purchased. Thank you so much. Thank you so much for this tutorial! I used to sew it to the cap in stead of the lace, I was afraid it would break, but this solved every problem I had. No glue and no visible lace. Oh and you've taught me how to properly sew, haha. Many thanks!

I am glad I could change your mind on lace wigs. Glue is a big no no for me. Using my elastic band method you can remove your wig at night allowing your natural hair to breath.

Hello and goodnight one of my main problems that I have with my lace wigs is how to maintain my straight, layered or curly lace fronts(SYNTHETIC). Especially curly! Such a task. I've tried boil/cool water methods. I've also tried fabric softener and/conditioners. I do see why so many women buy the human hair wigs. It makes more sense to invest in something that will last much longer. Although, its some coins! I can't always afford those and I can't help it. Some of these synthetic wigs are so cute and they become made of better quality and styles. Please help! Ooooooh lawd

I feel like when I sew it at the corners like that.. and wear it.. it pulls back.. like the flap is now pulling backwards rather sitting in front of my ear.. you know what I mean??

Yes I know what you mean Chinenye, but it does not for you still have half an inch at the flaps which lays flat when wearing your wig. If the frontal of your wig is cut too small then it would be like a straight line going across your sides. Which is what you are expressing, but if you have the right size frontal this will be a perfect fit. We use this method on all our client's wigs and they love it 😄. Let me know how you get on. You just blew my mind the way you finished it with the final knot! That is so much simpler than trying to situate it down the thread and hope you get it where it needs to be. Sometimes the simplest things escape me. So this stops the very front hairline of a lacefront from lifting? I have an interesting wig that has a Y parting for a top knot, and honestly I dont know why it splits the back down to the neck since pigtails are out since the middle part doesnt come all the way to the forehead edge. It forks out almost to the edge of the forehead on each side. The front lifts though & I cannot get the Got 2 be technique to work. Plus that stuff is no joke to remove. I see it doing damage, especially since I'm clearly not doing it right.

Hi Sarah this is because you are either sewing it on two tight or you are not laying your band flat when you sew it on your wigs.

Yes, I just put on and go, with no additional glue or work. The lace on our wigs is also thin which helps with the laying down.

Queen thank you for your guidance. My problem is that I am allergic to synthetic, human hair blend and some pretentious human hair wigs. My scalp sizzles and burns like heat. Washing chemical out does not work either. Is there a solution? Are there wigs that will not present this problem?

You need to start using raw or 100% virgin hairs, these hairs have not gone through any chemical treatments and the donors have not used any bleach or colouring on their hairs before donating. You need to chance your cap to machine wigs. They are none lace wigs❤️
