The PES (efootball) gameplay makes me forget about Fifa's graphics & animations. The gameplay is the closest to real life.

Fifa look better, but if you like the real football you would prefer pes/efootball, fifa is so unrealistic the field is like ice rink, too fast, the dribble are impossible to do that fast in real life. Efootball the gameplay is like in real life, very slow, you have to use your brain for create chance, not just run like a nobrain.

Fifa is so sad. Everything looks great before the whistle is blown, and then the weird fast insect-like feet and disaster of a gameplay just ruins everything. Recently (after years of playing both fifa and pes) I realized that Fifa doesn't have animations for close up finishing. When you get close to the goalkeeper while running fast it is impossible to score because there is no quick finishing animation. Fifa pretty much uses the same finishing animation where the player brings their legs all the way back and smashes the ball. Players always bring their legs all the way back even if they hit the ball softly. In Pes you can score when close to the goalkeeper while running because of the variation of animations and the player's reaction. While players in Fifa have superhuman speed, they react so slow that it ruins gameplay.

I'm getting FIFA 23 and after that i might switch to PES. I prefer FIFA because of presentation and player animations on and off the ball. They have the licenses to give an immersive league or club experience. The crowd and commentators bring more excitement to the game with crowd chants, songs and tifos. I also prefer how FIFA present the player cards when building a squad in FUT mode and the custom tactic system is intuitive. The issue I have with FIFA though is gameplay. Sometimes gameplay is awesome for you and sometimes it's like even the game itself is against you and giving your opponents an unfair advantage.

Pes is really good to make an exact copy of a player's movement. Like ronaldo, Neymar and sterling their movements match exactly like in real life

if you're into little animations and graphics, fifa is the one for you but if you're into a solid real-life like game play experience, efootball can give it to you but they're also not too far behind in animations and graphics, ngl I think Fifa looks like a ping pong game

The tiny details is much better in FIFA but when it comes to gameplay efootball is waaay better

FIFAs gameplay is more fluid but unrealistic as you can one touch pass instantly without the player changing there body position. Some times that works but sometimes the position the players are in shouldn't be possible.

Sadly since EA and FIFA are separating EA are gonna obviously keep the graphics but lose a lot a licensing. But, Fifa are finding a developer to continue the series so we will continue to have the World Cup. We still have one more EA fifa left tho, can’t wait to try out the World Cup mode for the first time since fifa18

Fifa graphic wasnt having an upgrade since fifa 18, the stadium was like a paper and u put players and ball above it but you will see realistic grass if you zooming it close, i prefer the old fifa

im playing both series, i have to admit that FIFA is no doubt the best graphics and had all team license but in my playtime i just feel PES (or eFootball now) has better gameplay but yep this one doesn't have good graphics and lack of team license. The only thing i can say is both is good football game, the one has good graphics while another one has good gameplay.

There are a lot of issues currently in FIFA, still even after patching it's pretty broken. Sometimes your team is getting a speed boost while other times they run super slow, that's scripted gameplay...

Pes looks so real

some details in Fifa look better, like the hairs and the spectators reacting to ball. Kind of weird tho, that the fans got so casual random clothes, even if the PES fans look dead when something is happening, just wearing your team colors makes it look nice, not like you are looking at it so often. I don't know about graphics, the PES faces look better to me. Fifa looks like wax figures, PES looks a bit more realistic and meshing with the background. I'm playing fifa since 2002 version, later I tried 98 and 2001 too. The gameplay of 2002 was really fun, and world cup version was weird, but had some charm for a short time. Funnily enough star players just used the automatic curved balls, and you could replicate by using the C-Z buttons to curve similarly. I was really good at 2002, volleys, bicycle kicks, scorpion kicks, after a while you get used to it, like 6/7 shot was better than 7/7 and you could always score from the middle circle with a less strong shot, also kg and height was important (ronaldinho 172 with 68 was best but others on the same size were similarly good). Fifa 2004-2006 didn't run on my pc, but tried them later and they were focusing a lot on the visuals but the gameplay wasn't there. Started playing PES in 2005 and didn't really understood the hype for 2006 version, it was worse. 2005 had 4 modifiers which in combination made some really strong combos, like lifting the ball up for yourself to volley or tricks to get past the keeper. I feel like fifa was always dumbed down so anyone can play it at a mediocre level, but PES had some difficult key combos that allowed some crazy control. Best example is how you could mash the middle triggers and get some cool moves (also waste good chances with it) so controller was worse than keyboard 90% but the rest of 10% was magical. I was playing PES every year since 2007, and Fifa 2007 was really good, but ever since 2010 I felt like PES was better. Also, I heard that PES sold them the game engine, so they were really similar, FIFA just had better licensing. SO out of the box, Fifa might of been better, but that only matters for console plebs. PES had so many good mods every year, like you could fix the licensing with small mods in minutes on PC and the gameplay was more diverse and better. Fifa had that thing that a few players could do some tricks because their ability and the others were kind of dead because they weren't able to do any techniques. In PES was something similar, some players were better, I did the no look pass with ronaldinho somehow, and a few other player specific tricks, but you could do most things with all players, some just did it better. I think PES 17-20 was really good and the Fox engine was pretty good (I think it's called fox, correct me if I'm wrong). The EPES felt really weird, you don't have to, but there is a lot of advantage turning your midfielders around the circle and use those body feints and tricks. It is really different than 2017 and the others were. My laptop couldn't really handle the later versions of 2019 and 2020 so I didn't play too much, but with my previous experience it was pretty easy on easy difficulty at least, EPES, I got slaughtered on easiest level and I just felt frustrated about controls. The ball animation for Fifa looked better on close up, but again PES was meshing better in game. Also, again, mods. You can add stadiums, players, tattoos, grass, and a bunch of other mods to PES. It's not that hard, and it makes a world of difference. The modders are really active and there was a lot of amazing stuff in recent years. One team I followed for a while, Smoke patch did superb total conversions with added gameplay changes, rating changes, extra graphics and other cool stuff. And now, next month (October 2022) they might release their standalone version, which is using the fox engine, but original assets, and their own take on an updated football game, and gets me more exited than fifa 23 or epes updates.

FIFA is better by every aspect. The only two reasons people plays eFootball 2022 currently are the free game and the hope to have master league on one of the upcoming updates.

I've played fifa since PS1 FIFA 04 (Thierry Henry as cover, how nostalgic). And I've played eFootball/PES/Winning Eleven since PS1 WE 4. These days, I'm quite disappointed with FIFA series (or EA FC start from 2023) because they don't change their game much; just a little upgrade aesthetically and few gameplays here and there, but the base game is still the same as FIFA 11. "If it's not broken, don't fix it" true up until 2017-2018, but 2019 onward, you got to think that the processing capabilities are better and the R&D should be better. But EA stays EA. On the other hand, eFootball is showing its maturity through time. The new engine is a risk to take, and how bad they were in the release version of eFootball. But the latest update is a major step up. The game is much more fluid, real-life like. The ball is unpredictable. In FIFA, you can be sure to regain the ball with a "successful" standing tackle", but in eFootball, the opponent still has the chance to win the ball even after we successfully tackle them. The AI (opponent team, or teammates on and off the ball) is also amazing.

Only in my opinion that the only perfect football game and realistic is pes 2021 i will patch the game every season until i die 😭
