Hi all, I have a poll going for my newer videos I am working on, if you'd like to contribute, you can so here: ru-vid.comUgkxIp70y6NbKzcIsy-HobcQT1e8jVFZz6CJ It is regarding the story/lore videos for Noctotitan.
Realistically, if this thing were to roar at full volume while you were close to it, your lungs would burst under the unimaginable amount of decibels. That’s how powerful it is.
I'd probably be like diving next to a submarine with its active sonar on, your brain would be melted, your lungs would burst like ballons, and you might even get injuries on your skin, very cool and fun experience
Honestly, would have been terrifying if in the base game, after you scanned the bones of this thing, the PDA said “Compiling Data… New Creature Type Discovered: Colossus.”

Scary Fact. This Living continent of an eel is so huge that you wouldn't be considered worth eating. But Riley can't just go out there without his vehicles, most of which dwarf him in size. If this thing were to see you in a vehicle, then you'd be seen as prey. After all, the cyclops is as big as the reaper leviathan, which the juvenile probably preys on.
I love how accurately this depicts the sheer mass of the gargantuan leviathan. You could hear it from several nautical miles away, and even then, you could tell whatever's making that noise is far beyond anything you've encountered thus far; a true apex predator that puts even the Sea Emperor to shame. This is some criminally underrated sound design right here. Keep up the great work!
I like the idea that the player is so insignificant to this creature that it's not even growling or roaring at you. You just happen to be around when it is.
Imo the first sound was scarier than the actual roar. Just IMAGINE hearing that in the distance and still feel the vibrations. You know something absolutely titanic is out there....
@@St1tches Talking about how there is a mod for it and the community is basically making ideas for it for the mod creator as well as Anthomnia’s art made by Tapwing for the design itself and much more.
God, if only they made it canon. Human meddling has revived and reintroduced a monster so horrific, we have had to cancel any plans involving the planet.
That's what Legendary did to test their new Godzilla roar. Played it on a Rolling Stones tour rig at full volume. People in a 3 mile radius of it called and thought it was an explosion or earthquake.
Imagine this: You are in the ocean with your crew, travelling overseas so you can gather materials from other countries and transport it to your country. The cloud was dark and gloomy, you inhale the air around you, smelling for signs of storm. Your eyes widen up and you went to the announcement place(idk what it's called but eh). "I smell a storm coming, brace yourselves soon," your voice echoed not just on deck, but also below the boat. Everyone scurries to prepare the things they need. A few minutes passed and lightning struck from afar, booming a loud sound that you expected. It began to grow worse and worse, but you didn't panic, you knew what to do. You head down the inside of the boat, but as soon as you put your foot on the first step, lightning struck again, and from the corner of your eyes you see something large emerge from the water. You thought of this as your paranoia. Once you close the hatch, a deep roar vibrated in the walls of the boat and boomed inside the ship. You knew this wasn't natural at all, it wasn't from a thunder or lightning, this definitely was something else. You open the hatch and once again, you saw something large emerge from the water, but this time it's red snake like eyes was staring at you. It slowly submerged, deep striking you like a sword deep in your chest. You took a step to go down again, but you lost your balance when your ship was struck by something from below. You roll and roll and you never stop rolling, nothing to stop your demise. You were then thrown overboard. The surrounding around you was dark, you try to swim upwards but it was proven difficult because of the darkness that's surrounding you. You panic even more when you struggle to breathe. You swim in every direction, draining your energy. You open your mouth to breathe, but all you inhaled was salty water. Your lungs begin to fill up with water and you soon drown. But in the corner of your eyes, you see that giant thing again. But everything went black.
Hi everyone! As of this video, I will be helping with the sounds, obviously they're gonna use Simon's legendary roars, and all sounds he made (My support to him) and I will be helping with idles, growls, bite sounds and possibly the baby.
Honestly between you and Simon, I prefer yours since the deep lower pitch that is applied fits well with such a large creature. While Simon's roars are epic in their own right, I think these sound files suit the Gargantuan Leviathan better.
I like these roses for the gargantuan since it really conveys the scale of the thing, being able to hop over the auroa and still have a good chunk of it in the void. But simon’s roars are iconic and gives that “ok screw this” feeling for some reason
I mean I am not one to compare, Simon is an amazingly talented dude, and I'm so glad they brought him on to do the sounds of the the big guy, and I'm more than happy that they used my other sounds (The growls, rumbles etc)
The Gargantuan Leviathan looks like something that can be named after mythical creatures such as the World Serpent of Norse mythology or the actual Leviathan from biblical times. Also there probably should be a new class like Titan or Colossal class life.
I perfectly remember finding the big skull and ribs in the Lost River for the first time and how I was wondering how that big mf ended down there and hoping I'd find one of them somewhere else... And years later you guys actually did it.. and all the other creatures are cool af as well.. The devs of Subnautica should definitely have used the Gargantuan and all the others..
Honestly what’s interesting about this is that these sounds are pretty realistic to how an organism that size would sound to our ears. Because of the lower sonic register it would likely be operating in due to its sheer size, we would hear it as an impossibly deep, almost vibrating sound that rattles our very existence
Okay, the art alone is enough to give me nightmares... Seriously though, that art is absolutely stunning. It captures the horror the sounds convey, and it fits so well! That's insane.
Reaper: I am the biggest, nobody can touch me Sea Dragon: I am so strong, I eat Reapers! Gargantuan: **Laughter in the distance** Sea Emperor: Yeah nah, i will stay in my Alien Cell.
@@an18yearoldmongolianguy the juveniles live in an actual biome the adults live in the void so yes maybe the adults are bigger but im gonna need to see their sizes in KM
I'd like to imagine that when you are going through the void if you go far enough your PDA will say "detecting large biological entity. Turning back is advised"
In my imagination, the aurora exploding would wake this thing up from its slumber in the void, being the only thing in the world loud enough to wake it up. It thinks the explosion is something huge that it can feast on, so it starts looking for it. Every so often you'd get a warning bellow, which would mean it's on its way over from the void. You'd get another bellow when it made its way into the crater, at which point you'd have to take refuge in the caves where it couldn't reach you. It wouldn't seek you out directly, but you would *not* want to be in its way as it makes its way across the crater, being large enough to swallow a cyclops whole. After a bit, it heads back into the void. You're safe...for now. Would be cool for it to be something that just occasionally makes a pass across the game world, you'd avoid it like a reaper, but on a much larger scale.
The real reason why scientists think strange sounds in the sea come from ice-bergs, is because they are too afraid to admit what really lurks down in the deep….
You are in deep abyss You saw nothing but hear a ferocious roar It sounds like a big monster roar You are nervous You open sonar You see a never ending tail after you open your sonar. Subnautica is beautiful
Imagine swimming with your cyclope into completly dark location where you can barley see somthing then suddenly you'r cyclopse start to glitch.Later you see tons of skeletons of various leviathans and suddenly you hear this 1:00
The craziest thing about this is that it almost feels like my room is shaking whenever I hear them. It's all in my head, but I can still physically feel the vibrations as if they were real. That's how awesome these sounds are!
I absolutely adore this kind of stuff. Indescribably massive creatures, so large they can be seen clearly from space, dwelling below a seemingly lifeless ocean. That’s good horror.
... Wow. Impressive work. You can really get the sheer scale of the beast with how heavy the sounds are, even from far away - as well as the incredible weight the "up close" roars have, the sound being pushed up from it's cavernous insides.
if you listen closely at 0:06 to 0:08 you can hear a slight gasp from a human, likely from the TEENY human at the top of the picture (yes, that is what that tiny light is and what the giant water worm of death is looking at)
This is one of the most perfectly fitting monster sounds ever in my opinion. I’m just glad most of the sounds aren’t another dragon roar kind of thing and they’re more ambient instead.
There’s only 5 percent of the ocean that’s been discovered, there could very well be a giant down there somewhere we haven’t even found yet. I hope there is.
Bro, just imagine you're swimming. Dark as hell, no light on, glowing fish nearby. Then you hear a distant noise, your screen starts vibrating. You turn on the lights only to see that 100 feet away from you in a giant face covering your whole screen.
You entering in the void: PDA voice: Detecting a massive life form never detected until now aproaching to you. You will meet your end if not turn back now.
