(Updated) HALO CME: A halo CME hurled into space yesterday was not from X1.0-M7.4-flares. Instead the source of the halo CME was from an active region on the farside of the sun. The timing between AR3697 flares and CME was off by 12 minutes! According to a NASA model, the CME will hit Venus, not Earth. Although, the CME first visible at 01/20:00 UTC and associated with the M7 flare, is still being analyzed for any Earth-directed component. Stay tuned for updates…

If you look it was a full halo event! We are going to get hit. It should be starting some time after midnight. You better do some research, before trying to look smart! You obviously have no clue what your talking about. We will have level 6 kp 7 storms from that long duration x class falir!

It hit hours ago. The halo was from farside. The M7 produced a CME at about the same time. It impacted only producing a brief G1.How smart is that crazy guy?

STIX on Solar Orbiter observed a big flare on the far-side (with a soft hard X-ray spectrum) around 18:24 UT, ~12 minutes before the start of the X1.0 flare on the visible side. The AlA movie caught the X1.0 eruption around 18:44 UT.
