Updated Hamster Cage Tour (Lyra) 

Lyra’s main “toys”, substrates and set up are switched out weekly/ biweekly as she tends to get bored easily. We didn’t add in her chew toys as I simply forgot to when filming. I can do a boredom breaker video if anyone is interested?

maybe put the granite tile with the water dish and the sand bath (plus anything heavy) on some sort of platform/stilts so if she burrows under it she won’t get crushed. (i learned this the hard way)

I love this cage although I would recommend putting some sort of tunnel or cork log in the most empty place and maybe some grapevine wood since hamsters are prey animals and like to be covered. But other than that amazing cute, natural hamster cage!🐹🐹🐹

Yay your back ! Lyra is very cute and looks similar to my past hamster Willow ! I would recommend making her cage a bit more crowded as hamsters are prey animals and like to have lots of coverage to make them feel safe so that if they get spooked they don't have to go far to hide ! Other than that her setup is great , loving the neat but natural vibes it gives !

Yay! 🤗Another vid after a long wait. 😎Very sorry to hear about Bandit (R.I.P.)😭, I too lost Little Miss Muffin on Nov.23,2020 after only 19 days...😭😭 Bandit looked very much like my very first hammy named Hammy (a Golden Banded). I really like the all natural look of the cage, especially the cute floating plastic carrot in the water bottle! 😁 I use a 20cm diameter by 5cm deep ceramic planter (bamboo theme with 4 little pandas on top) for a sand bath & 4cm deep playground sand in it. My fave part of the vid was when it looked like Lyra had a little coconut hat on, hehe...oh, so cute! 😄🤗🥰

nice setup , although a tunnel or cork log would fill up some of the empty space and provide more hiding room.i really liked the glass bowl you used and the sprays for foraging .

Hi I love the cage and thank you for doing your research!!Try adding tubes under the bedding recommend toilet paper rolls. Add more branches,toys and some items for your hamster too bite and more fun stuff for your hamster. Also I recommend watching “Victoria Raechel” but nice job on the cage.

As a chinchilla owner, I could NEVER own a hamster. I get overwhelmed just thinking about all the supplies and cage cleaning, as well as trying to find your hamster if they had burrowed down in the deep bedding. Respect

If you're good at DIYing, I'd recommend adding another platform low enough where you can put the wheel and still close the top, and keeping all the other heavy stuff like the sand bath, the stone slab and the food/water bowls all on the platforms, since the hamster's digging can make those things fall on them. I would also recommend adding more bedding and compacting it (without the hamster inside the cage) so it's stable to dig tunnels in. Right now it looks difficult to build tunnels in it.

Its very nice cage, i would recommend nineangel maze with 6 room. it gona look perfect with your cage . im using it with 3 of my hamster and they are all like it a lot

Your cage looks so pretty! I would just recommend adding more bedding, though, because the platform is so tall and your hamster might walk off it easily.

I love the cage and your hammy but next time you clean it I would recommend only cleaning out half the cages bedding or once a week you can go around and look for soiled bedding and take that out but don’t clean the entire cage because you are removing all their scent ❤️ but other that that you did a great job and you cage is much better than mine 🥰

quick suggestion, you should really crowd the cage because hamsters do better in crowded environments. thats probably why she’s getting bored so easily.

I got hamster before 1 year,and i buyed him small cage and he really like it.Then after 8 months with me me and my dad made another one cage in plastic box and he loved it so much,it js so much bigger and nicer,and because it was eid i got lot of money and today im going to buy him amother cage that is 10 times bigger and nicer,i will tell ylu how it goes.
