You ARE absolutely 100% right. _However,_ people today are unfortunately suffering the worst mass example of the Dunning-Kruger effect unlike anything we've ever witnessed before. THEIR feelings are slowly but, surely becoming OUR brand new "facts" & even OUR _laws!_ We need to bring back basic logic, common sense, reasoning skills & critical thinking as these are things that should NOT EVER be up for debate! This willful ignorance is getting scary & dangerous. I fear that if we _keep_ going this way we're ALL going to be in serious trouble! 😣
The joke IS that Jews don't eat pork so it would be safe for the little pig to open the door cause it's not the big bad wolf that eats pork. The fact that I'm describing a children cartoon joke proves how UNeducated people are willing to be just to be "right" about race theory. Instead of ASKING oh I dunno JEWISH people or black people or chinese people or Mexican people what THEY think & how THEY feel about this type of content... the white people just wash them away completely?! How is THAT not just as racist if not even more now?? People of different races didn't want film & TV roles to be white washed & jobs taken away from them & given to white people that dress up like them! THAT is what this was about. Not deleting them from ALL of human history! You leave it alone & teach your children right & wrong, instead. Oh, I forgot this generation doesn't actually parent their children, teach them consequences or follow through with threats to stop bad behaviour. THAT is what the internet is for. 🙄
My great uncle collected old 16mm and 33mm films and he had the ‘33 cut on 16mm. He had movie nights every Friday, and would often show it when my family went when I was a kid.
Sorta: These racial stereotypes, however wrong, were common at the time. There are worse cartoons like "Clean Pastures" (part of the 11 banned cartoons of WB) and "Scrub me mama with a boogie beat", that no one ever talks about. The reason why Disney cartoons are mostly talked about is that, during WW2, there was this Nazi director who went to America to present a film and many withdrew their participation, Walt Disney initially, since he didn't know anything, didn't do it and called her a good person. Then he found out everything and recanted but in life he had no problem with Jews, he eventually argued with some of them who were his collaborators but not for religious reasons, probably they had had disagreements. None of them accused him of anti-Semitism. However, Family Guy also makes those kinds of jokes to exaggerate and laugh.

@@Spacey_key I don’t see why you took the original comment so seriously. My assumption is that you are very desperate to win an argument online, most likely due to a recent defeat you’re still mad about.
You Sound Pathetic..like someone who doesn't know what it is to have your identify mocked they knew that shit was wack and that's why they changed it Wake up Real life isn't a Cartoon!!!
Oh it's definitely racist. That's a textbook Nazi stereotype. Nazi stereotypes are pretty funny tho lol. I'm Jewish btw EDIT: you can tell because he's a hunchback, has a big nose, and is selling stuff
I see no problem with both version. The original version is more trap set up only to found out that it was a trap. While the revised updated version actually tells what that big bag wolf is trying to do.
I prefer the Jew wolf scene HOWEVER i just get the joke that he discussed himself to sell stuff and i honestly liked it not to be in a offensive way but i wish they bring these real cartoons back
@@Utopia1616 Yeeee. It seems stupid. But the idea is to change something that really matters. Child won't see a disney movie and just start hating jews. It is more complicated. If we want to end racism I think we should not look at everything small. I think that worst is a lady that calls police when sees black man than a video from 60's. Culture can change in one year but just a bit. In 10 years culture can make some crazy changes. And I think that it is. I don't say it was good - it was bad. Racism in any kind is bad. But when we point anything small the big racism things looks a bit smaller.
Tbh how many facial features can really be used to disguise a wolf snout, i think people apply thier own ideals to a wolf simply trying to hide the fact that he is a wolf
The costume worn by the wolf is a stereotypical Jewish one. The reason the wolf dressed up as a Jewish person was to make the pigs think he wasn’t a threat, as Jews do not eat pork.
That the stereotype is that Jewish people don’t eat pork, so in hindsight of that, they used a stereotype Jewish caricature for the wolf disguise as a way that the pigs won’t feel threatened & answer to the wolf in disguise because of that stereotype Jewish people don’t eat pigs/pork. So In a way it’s a subliminal joke message if that makes sense.
Original is as racist as they come. There's a reason it was changed lol. It wasn't any misinterpretation. It was just racist. Textbook Nazi stereotype.
@@MrBigB historical value? Unless used to educate about anti semitism, it shouldn't remain the same. It's a kids cartoon. It's not supposed to be Nazi Propaganda.
@@neonmenace1592 what kid is going to be watching a cartoon thats almost 100 years old? If anybody is watching this they are defending old enough to understand what it is.
This isn’t even that bad lol, it was obviously done with racist intention because Walt was openly an anti-Semite, but it’s far better to not censor things and acknowledge the past and how things were pre-WW2 rather than pretend people were all tolerant and goodie. Besides, it’s funny to anyone who can detect irony.
you do realize that this is only considered racist nowadays, in the 1930s this was considered acceptable and humorous to those that saw it as such. we are a fallen world, and often the wrong will be accepted and will be funny to some, kinda like pretending a man can be a woman and some of us finding it hilarious that the first woman 4 star admiral is a man
No, it literally wasn't, I dunno why people like you (12 year olds) perpetuate this shit. This was always racist, and people weren't magically okay to conservative ideas back then, ESPECIALLY when they were the one subjugated
