I have an everyday routine that I have to follow to stay busy and sane. 6am - 9am -stretch and work out. -Quiet time. -Journal or read a book (alternate them) 9am - 5pm -Work -Learning /School work -Marketing and Networking -Plan for next day 5pm - 10pm -DIY project (house) -Zoom call friends and family -Watch movies 10pm - 6am -Sleep like a damn baby knowing you are giving it your all. Tip . Practice mindfulness. Helps a great deal in avoiding anxiety. . Pray.

What has kept me sane during quarantine has been prayer...I have really felt a shift in my spiritual life and I'd love to encourage anyone seeing this to intentionally set time apart in their day just to pray.

For me this quarantine period has really been tough because when I gave birth last year I lost my job because the company I was working for there's no such thing as maternity leave, to make matters worse my husband also lost his job because of this pandemic and now I had to think of what to do to sustain the us..I started making mandazis and also baking cakes and supplying to the neighbouring shops which is not doing so well but atleast we get to have food at the end of the day

I'm doing morning devotionals with my friends at 5 am everyday... It has helped me so much remain positive and maintain my faith even in these trying moments.

I am not the most spiritual person but at this times I started reading the bible a daily verse and a chapter a day to keep me positive. It has really helped me from depression since I'm in quarantine alone for all this months. I also started working out....motivated by you😊😊😊

Personally quarantine has just been something else. With all this stuff on the internet giving you anxiety and mini depression. But we move regardless. I've found having a routine has really helped. Having a gratitude journal. Allowing myself to feel what am feeling coz if you feel it then hunnay it's real. Also making peace with myself.and most importantly in trying to gather my thoughts together and not overthink things and just do them.

During this period, I've started exercising which I never do and I'm loving the changes. I've been trying to learn 3 new things every week especially DIYs. I've fasted and prayed alot for the first time in years this period. I've normalized drinking lemon water. I've been writing down business plans to start after we are finally out. I've done alot of things but those are the few things I'm very much proud of.

What's keeping me sane during this period has been Journaling. It's been my therapy,the only way i process my stuff. Putting it all down on paper;the emotions(both positive and negative), thoughts and feelings 🌸

I've been working out and doing yoga first thing in the morning to keep me active throughout the day.I don't have any online classes; public universities in Kenya are a joke but I do some studying via RU-vid especially on subjects about true crime and Psychology. I eat all my meals at the same time everyday to make sure I don't snack on soo much unhealthy foods/snacks. To anyone who comes across this comment do have yourself a wonderful time! Hey Joy! It's soo uplifting going through the comment section and seeing how we're all adapting regardless of Covid. What has really worked for me is having a structure to my days. l have a morning routine to get me energized before work, been working out, working on my femininity as well. It's a blessing in disguise for me. l'm a workaholic but this whole situation has literally SLOWED ME down and l have time for Self-care and also get to work on my life besides my career. l believe this is our season of Establishment all round and God's got us!

I've been creating. Start of the year I experienced some heart breaking news. So I had to start keeping busy. So started a podcast, growing closer to God and listening to him also working on editing my first book. It has helped.

Hey, what has really helped is being intentional about being in a positive mental state by self care routines, working out, taking things easy, doing affirmations, journaling, self improvement, reading and youtube. Also praying, taking walks, watching positive content, and knowing this too shall pass and all is well. Love, joy and peace abound!

Hi joy. I live in Mombasa and both my parents work in hotels and lost there jobs so we had to move to a smaller home with more families so we usually help the kids around here with homework and especially English. And we provide porridge for them and that act of knowing we have helped someone in some way even little keeps us very calm and motivated to do more in the little ways we can.

Being a first time mum with a teething baby can /is Abit hectic and not knowing what to do when your baby is acting up is something else... Listening to music and watching movies has helped a lot , tryna stay sane with erthng I have to deal with. Glad that I haven't lost it,yet, but we mooove!! I love me some Kendi vlogs❤️🧡

These are such tough times for all of us. I don't watch movies that much( I prefer relatable things like vlogs) but reading, that is keeping me sane. Getting to know different Bible characters,learning just how much we have in common with them is really helping. Sometimes, I also just dress up like Joy and take beautiful pictures. It's not that bad when you make the most of it.

I have been spending time with my siblings and shosho.😄 We video call our parents every other day which has been fun. Healthwise my friend has been helping me Workout and on Thursdays I teach her how to paint.🎨... Also I have been trying balance with my school work ,and growing my hair to waist length we are getting somewhere 😂❤️

My experience during this period has been bitter sweet. Initially I was super stressed out about not going to work, the uncertainty of my job, contracting rona and just being overall unproductive. I am trying to get my grove back by simply planning my days. I try to start each day with devotion, followed by working out, meditation, learning how to drive and finally learning how to cook from my daddy (yes my dad is the cook in our house). I'm happy because during this period i've managed to do all those little things I never had time to do (organizing my room, going to the tailor etc.). Last week I also started the process of starting a new business and oh boy! It hasn't been easy. Currently, I am so engrossed in laying the foundation for my new biashara and super grateful for my growth and self discovery during this harsh times.

Wow Joy, I really enjoy your content. Am glad you are adjusting to your skin needs. As for me, I have been doing what I can. I work from home, I submit articles and assignments. The greatest thing has been having my cousin and mum around. Its been the greatest gift. I thank God for whatever little I do, I know at a time like this not many people have an income. Learning to give more and just be grateful, that's all 😊

Hi Joy personally quarantine has been on a whole other level for me helping my mum,getting to know my siblings better and just cooking and having fun in the kitchen but what I feel has been a major breakthrough for me is learning a new language; spanish. It gives me so much peace and I'm so relaxed when doing the course. At least with the new addition to my languages I will be able to explore Rome and Madrid when quarantine is over .Honestly I hope to come out of quarantine when I'm fluent in about 3 foreign languages.

I personally started journaling every night just before i sleep since April and have been consistent with it. I jot down every single thing in there. Whether I had a good day or a bad day. Whether my anxiety was up the roof or my mood was regulated today. It helps me calm down, unwind and weird enough helped with my stress induced insomnia on occassions. I also go for walks every other day. Sometimes I take the long route other times i take the easy way out. I love how walking clears your mind, keeps you active and makes you feel normal and less anxious during this pandemic season

I've been enjoying being home and watching my son grow. The quarantine has been a blessing in disguise because I've spent so much time with him and seen him cross all these milestones. I love it. Also working out to keep sane and get back in shape.

I've been doing walks around the estate while listening to my favourite playlist, it's really relaxing and keeping me sane; breathing fresh air once in a while. I've also tried to cook new recipes at home.

Ive been spending time with my family and what has been Keeping me busy apart from school is Working out,meditation,podcasts and Netflix! Online classes are quite hectic and they put me in a dark place so far. But working out has been keeping me really sane!

being indooors cz of the pants has me having so much time to learn my inner self, replanning again for all the things I had for this year🤦...and some time to keep my body fit .... I'm literally I'm coming out of quarantine as a whole different person....just can't wait.... Hi Joy... Thank you for sharing your fitness journey because, umph, some of us needed the motivation. I started working out early this year and with time, I stalled somewhere in between. It then came to a point where I randomly did my workouts. Well, I lost some weight, but my goals weren't achieved yet. Seeing you achieving your goal made me psyched up to achieve my body goals. So I came up with a workout plan that is flexible and realistic and I'm happy to say I am going along well. I've wanted to shed some weight, mostly in my abdominal area, for a long time now. I've never felt happy in my own skin and I went from an extrovert to an introvert due to peer pressure and social standards. So I wanna look good, and at the same time boost my self esteem. This quarantine period has given me time to actually pick up hobbies I never had time for, as much as now, like reading. Well, for a video suggestion with your mum, you could cook or bake together and share some recipes with us. We'd be happy to try them with all this free time.

I have been working out along side trying to reconnect with my mum since now she’s at home most times. Also learning filming through this app called skills share. Getting in touch with myself through meditation and finding out things I didn’t know about me. Such an awakening!❤️

I have been focusing on me. As odd as it sounds I never had time for myself. So I've been focusing on building me. My relationship with God, leaning new languages. Diving into books and ignoring all news just for my sanity. I've grown to love my body as it is. Changing a few things about myself how I eat to how I relate to people. Finally I choose me. It shouldn't take a pandemic for me to choose myself, but am glad it did

Its the sweat. You have to wash ur face as soon you are done with a work out. Mine did the same, I would come from the gym, but instead of going straight home I would run errands and the shower whenever I got home. Thanks to covid gyms are closed so all I do is run and work out at home so I shower right away and no breakouts.

I have been going to work as usual just working less hours .during this time i have really invested in myself learning what i like ,what works for me in terms of hair,skin,bodycare,mental and emotional wise. I have also been working out its a life saver😊😊

I've been taking care of my skin much better, and also learning how to do make up by watching your videos, and catching up on vlogs to stay sane, otherwise working out atleast 5 days a week and doing DIYs in the house has been enjoyable, I realised some talents I didn't know I had during this time. Above all I've always thanked God for the gift of life and good health. ❤️

Joy you are an absolute goddess!!!And it's amazing how being a one man team has been helpful during this time. Now that I had a child in January I've decided to just take it easy and enjoy being fully present for this first months of his life.I do worry about my career life but I'll figure it out later

Mental health is important!! To stay sane; I have been doing yoga( best this that has happened to me) and catching up with movies and series ( there is sooooooo much to watch)and books( love love reading. )

I am at my mum's place and yes mothers enjoy when we take things that belong to them .I have been trying very hard to be consistent with my workouts and also reading more books and just trying to be a better human being.. It's been a very interesting time for me. Walked into quarantine with some relationships intact, and now some are falling apart in the span of weeks. I'm learning my family again, realizing I Dont know them as well as I would want to. I'm going HAM spiritually, getting that intimacy with God that I desire!! It's actually the best part about the quarantine. Also doing online courses, not for certificates but for the joy of learning- getting out of the performance mentality hole. Building relationships with my brother and sister through movie watching, lol!!

Hi Joy, So I have been out here since March the 23rd when they closedcampus. It took me a week to get derailed into the feeling of not having routine. I had to get my shit together and I did. Since that one week of living like a homeless person, my day starts at 5:20 amsix days a week. The first week was a struggle and I worked on not hitting the snoozebutton for 2 weeks. Guess who got the hang of it? I DID! I don't snooze.For the first time in my life,I don't hit snooze. I feel so accomplished when I manage to do this, I really do. It make me look forward to the next day. I have been jogging for 30 min as soon as I wake up. I have read three books so far because time is what we have and just recently in May, I started trying out new healthy recipes on RU-vid every alternate day. I resonate with what you said about finding something sustainable. That's the goals in all I'm doing.

I remember that wall art and that video. Waah, you have really evolved and thats a great thing. I loved the first dress, it was soooo exquisite. To keep myself sane, I am trying to have a routine, which to be real works sometimes and sometimes it doesnt. I have also enrolled to school and doing a diploma, which is keeping me on my feet as well as skipping rope. Quiet time has also helped me, the morning show from Family radio really helping me just start the day with a word from God. This is it for me. Oooh I also started a macrame project that i hope i will be able to finish for my bedbroom decor. small steps everyday. I hope this is an encouragement to someone out there that one day at a time is best and not to worry about things not working out the way you had planned. God is till in control even when you dont see it. Have faith.

For me Ms. Rona has been beating the hell out of me... Mad anxiety and near depression (near because I wasn't diagnosed) But any who as many of the people here meditating helps and connecting with myself... Uuuh I also started an official skin care regime that is reaaallly working .... Amd keeping up with vlogs💕

It’s not been easy to get out of what’s currently happening including losing my job. But I thank God for my mum she has been there for me all through. And now I have started to be positive about myself, listening to podcasts eg”Oprah super soul “and reading inspiration books e.g “Awaken the Giant within me”has really driven me away from all that’s happening .

I’m still going to work on the regular, I reach home at around 5pm. Disinfect whatever I had worn then it’s bonding time with my son. There are two shows we enjoy watching which has been Rono Car Poli and Guess how much I love you, sis that’s how I keep sane the little things on the show excite him and it’s awesome seeing his reaction and commentary, that’s how I decompress almost everyday.

My business has been keeping me sane...cooking and self meditating too. This period hasn't been easy for many plans have gone down the drain....but hey...we live and wait for light to shine again soon. ❤🤗

I've found joy and peace listening to podcasts and keeping myself busy throughout the day. My child is a handful honestly but we have a routine that has helped us get things done and still get time to spare. My days basically revolve around my baby but I'm trying my best to get my time off alone to meditate and grow.

Personally quarantine has been hard for me, i'm now 8 almost 9 months pregnant at 16 years old. I miss hanging out with my friends and stuff has been super stressful for me especially financially. But I chose to cope with all the stress by going on walks and listening to music. Also cleaning is a big thing that has kind of distracted me and in the end makes me feel better because I feel like I have accomplished something for the day. I've been trying to find my peace of mind and not overthink too much and trust god through the process!

Hey Joy..I really enjoy your videos..especially when you change your accent and act funny..I'd also like to watch a video of you with your mum. Whether it's a q&a or whatever. Quarantine has been hard..especially for us who've had to leave work for months..and having all this time with nothing to do and all the negativity around can take a toll on you. Which it was for me..I found ways to cope with the situation and make the days end a bit faster and productively. I started my health journey in April and have actually been able to stick to it for the first time in my life...and I'm seeing results and that is what's keeping me going. I also had to move back home..so I started tutoring my siblings which has been nice 'cause we get to bond and errthing..that's what I've been doing mostly apart from watching vlogs and comedies cause they help lift my spirits..lotsa love.

Well personally,I have done alot of self reflection,and alot of self-care.Seeing as due to the lockdown I have had to be away from my babies,I've found that self-care has helped me keep off the anxiety and deppresive episodes.Working out when I can,lots of reading,skin care regimen and prayer as part of my self-care has done quite great for me. 💕

Urban farming is what has been holding me down during this time, I am trying to plant seed beds for herbs timing keenly the time from planting to germination and germination to maturity. Agriculture is the best way to work from home...slowly getting into Agribusiness

Well, quarantine was pretty tough for me at the start because...anxiety and overthinking but one of the things that's really helped is spending time with family. We recently started work outs with my sister and its going pretty well I must say. Another thing I've spent my time doing is building my spiritual life, its not the easiest thing but one day at a time.

Personally, been trying to stay sane by getting new recipe ideas and putting them into action thanks to RU-vid. Adding new plants in our space is another thing I have been doing as well as organizing baby's space as I am expectant and almost delivering soon, so organizing and adding what I do not have slowly.

I have been working out🏋🏽‍♀️🏋🏽‍♀️. Baby steps and honestly I'm feeling great. Also taking advantage of the Courses on Coursera as well as binge watching, meditating and watching Tiktok videos has been keeping me sane during this period💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽

I can’t say this quarantine period has been too difficult because I actually found myself (if that makes sense) I was able to be a better me. I have been working out (the greatest milestone in my life right now) This has really boosted my self esteem plus I learnt how to my own makeup😍 (Is it time to put MUA on my ig bio?🤣 lol) I also started to create content fully. I am so happy. I am working on being better at it. But yeah, I have grown spiritually, physically and emotionally. I am in a better place not yet where I would love to be but I am better. Winning that 5,000 would mean the world to me🥺❤️

Hi Joy, so I have been through different phases during this quarantine period ( there was a time where all I did was sleep eat,watch shows , repeat then another time where I would work out , do school work and try to be productive,then I would slip back into sleeping and binging all through)so through all this I have just decided to let myself live and ease into a proper routine without much pressure.I would totally beat myself up for not being productive ,now I am just learning to be kind to myself and to transition and adapt to this time in the right way.I have been working out every morning, attending classes, watching some shows, doing chores and going for walks in the evening and that’s going well.This video was really nice I enjoyed it especially the make up 🔥🔥and outfits from bloom kenya🔥 also, thank you for doing this giveaway during this very hard time.

Being a mum of two boys under 4 is a workout session on its own for sure! Meditating, well, I tried but it’s easier when ‘mama’ is not called every two seconds. For a minute I almost lost myself but weirdly going through my old travel memories and going online to look for beautiful places to visit next (even those I cannot afford) has just helped me keep sane. Knowing that this will be over soon and we will all go back to normal. Weird! I know!

In this quarantine period I did something that I wanted to do in 2018 but was too afraid and I let comparison get me out of, I started a faith based RU-vid channel and creating content thereof has made me occupied during this time in a way that I absolutely love.

Hey Beautiful Joy. During this Quarantine season am keeping up with Home Workouts, i cant believe how consistent i am, and its very therapeutic as its helping me with my mental health. Am also watching documentaries on health, healthy eating, Veganism, Clean Beauty, This documentaries have helped me learn alot about my body and health and lastly, am binge watching 90 day fiance and Love and Hiphop Hollywood. I still cant believe i waste my time watching this Ratchet shows but am kinda addicted. Peace

I've been spending time with my family and bonding with them during quarantine. I've also been consistently working out which is a first. I have also been reading books to take my mind off reality and this is one of the things that has really helped me during this time because reality isn't appealing to me at this time and it really makes me sad so reading novels has been helping. I have also been catching up with some school work and just keeping myself busy. And most importantly getting closer to God💙

1. I have been working out both morning and evenings, damn it’s not easy though it’s worth it because my skin becomes brighter, clear, and encouraging to take more water than I used not to. 2. I have also been watching movies and series like Ozark, Blacklist, Too hot to handle, Outer banks, Suits, spinning out, soundtrack, summertime, Mitchelle Obama's documentary and am yet to watch The 100, Breaking Bad, House of Cards, The last dance, Blood & Water and Sweet Magnolias. 3. I have also been bonding with my family since I rarely go home often, bonding activities like old stories about us, planting trees together, and helping each other on house chores. 4.I have been checking my financial position daily and thinking of what to do next within my budget and how will I gain more money for my next projects. I am a person who believes writing something down and you don't have the cash at the moment you will always work towards it, figuring out you're how until you finally achieve it. 5. I have been tracking my expenditures since last year using an app called money manager, so every time I use the money I record how much was it and for what, was it from cash money, mpesa, or credit card. I recommend that everyone who wants to track how they spend their money. It's free on Android and on iPhone, you can choose to use it for free or purchase for additional stuff.

Im an introvert so this staying in the house is kinda my thing but this is kinda too much. So I've been reading books on kindle, watching movies and series on Netflix, working out abit, trying new recipes and not to forget making my hair which no one told me how hard this thing is 🤦‍♀️ but anyways we move and hope for the best. This has definitely been a tough period for many people. Personally, I am currently learning how to connect with those around me. I've spent most of my time trying to figure out what next (for me this is huge)working out,cooking,DIYs...name it all. I've been watching some of your vlogs and seeing you spend time with your mum is just adorable coz i'm sure there's a girl somewhere who can't wait to move out and never go back home. You are an inspiration to many and a great teacher too...thanks to you I now know how many types of bras i should have in my closet...thank you Kendi.

I have been watching zoom meeting by Centonomy learning about financial planning,having an emergency fund thaat needs to last you me for over 6 months during any crisis. Also alot of meditation about life in general,especially after one of my friends took his own life because of depression,started researching about mentall illness. Finally,learning how to do business(selling skills) during this covid period at my mum's boutique.

Great video. Quarantine has been up and down. Some days you feel hella bored, especially living alone and all and some days you feel like you can conquer the world by making the most of the free time. LOL. Anyway, I try to stay sane by working out, reading, and catching up with series. I've also tried to learn new skills online.

Added the Chloe Ting abs challenge to my regular workout routine for 2 weeks and had amazing results. Lost almost a whole inch off my waist. It’s definitely not something sustainable so I highly recommend that anyone considering to take up that challenge should figure out their preferred workout routine first. That way you have something to fall back on once you’re done and the results last longer.

I am so pumped to see the custom wig unit because I’m learning how to make wigs as well from RU-vid university. During this lockdown,I’m doing creative work as well to create a safe online space for us as females to be intentional in our money moves & have much dreaded conversations on our money personalities.Also I am on a Zumba dancing plan with Chiki to keep fit !!But more importantly I’m learning more about investing in a money market fund !🥰Zoe

Yes,attending to my small garden has been a whole mood.From the busy lifestyle we had before covid,i have no excuse now.That's the reality.I have been able to grow kales,spinach and Coriander and also i have fenced my garden so well and i really love how this turned out

For me it's business as usual with lots of care, i clean alot,i cook alot and i eat alot lucky for me adding weight has always been a struggle or else it won't be pretty. This whole thing i would say has brought me closer to my mum as i have to call her every now and then just to make sure she has not left the house and she is not having visitors. So cooking,cleaning and video calling my mum keeps me sane

Staying sane has been something I have had to push myself. Started a channel and it has been such a good place for release for me and gives me a space to be creative. I am also taking time to go back to things I enjoyed doing a while back like writing, knitting... simple things. Grateful for life :)

This quarantine time has been tough for me personally especially after one month of staying at home I was always feeling drained, unmotivated and my spirits were ever low I got to a dark place that nobody wants to be and you have no clue on what to do. But I tried listening to a motivational guy on RU-vid (recommended by Joanna kinuthia on one of her vlogs) every single day and also since I had started my makeup business as my side hustle when in school I try doing face beats on myself and take photos which has actually been therapeutic during the tough time and has helped keep me sane. Fingers crossed for this one🤞❤️

As a young and single mom it has been hard for me, juggling online courses and taking care of my daughter, but I give myself sane when I watch showmax, now I'm watching the good witch. It kinda helps.

I have learnt to unwind with makeup lessons on youtube and it has worked greatly for me during this quarantine period.I have also tried taking some walks as a breather and learning some new cooking skills.The first weeks were tough,but I am glad I moved past them😊

I finally got over my reading slump and I've been reading a few books.. Also been working out, not as consistently as I'd love to but 3 days a week minimum.it has helped me keep my sanity when I am over the edge. Also decided to relearn how to code plus keeping up with my online classes. It's not been easy but we keep going. I love you Joy❤

Considering the field i work in, i have not been in the office since March, I miss the rush and excitement that I get when at work. So what i decided to do is clean eating kabisa, I follow Jane Mukami and she has taught me quiet a lot!! Also catching up with the series I had been slacking on and walking!! I love my walks as i listen to music it just gives me peace for days.

I've been working out. I've lost some extra weight and I feel so much sexier. And I got to learn about Google fit from your previous vlog and it's the best way to track my workouts. Worked on my skin care routine and my face is really getting better... I have been insecure about it since highschool but I'm learning how to appreciate myself.
