I'm torn! I'm a new c0 yanfei main (burgeon/vape DPS) and I can't tell if I should get her or c6 xingqiu from the selector 😂. On one hand, I'd love the ease of use from c1 not to mention how it's a step closer to TANKfei but on the other I struggled a lot during the Pyro lector abyss 😂😅
@@Quinton_ovo_ xingqiu's C6 is definitely a big upgrade! but at least he's available in the starglitter shop so if you're willing to wait until march when he appears, then you can secure his C6 there if you haven't gotten it by then :D
When using terms like "forward melt" or "reverse vaporize", in a video "especially for more beginner players", you either should very clearly explain those terms - or have a dedicated video about all of these reaction terms linked in every such video's description and then say something like "check the linked video in the description to learn what these terms mean". Otherwise this is just extremely confusing to beginners. Even I at AR60 and almost 3 years in struggle at times to quickly grasp what even all of that means when watching videos like this. Sure, it's all normal for you but just try and imagine the beginner this video is targeted at and you'll see a absolutely baffled face in front of your inner eye.
She's is actually one of the most well built 4star character. all her kit works and she can fit into any team and the most important thing is she has no icd on her CA. Is just people sometimes doesn't bat an eye to a 4star dps unit
i've been playing her since her release and she's really not fitting into any team. And i dont think any catalyst one hit charge attack character has ICD on their charged attacks. She's really fun and i love playing her but she does have a lot of issues stopping her from being a higher tier. Respect to all yanfei mains
@@ehmed-animswhat Con do you have her at? C4 is great for Lyney teams and can let yanfei use bolide which increases her CA damage. You’d be surprised how Tanky that thing is

One thing i dislike about her is the range and aoe of her CA.. and her CA (like most Catalyst) took some time.. I guess it is just my preference for faster playstyle.. Edit: her being cc'ed is annoying at c0, but i think she will be much comfy to play at higher cons perhaps.. idk as i only have c0
Yanfei is literally the only main pyro dps I enjoy. I'm always suprised to see her in C or D in various tierlists. I think she's fun to play and doesn't feel as stiff as many other catalyts.
she also hits for ungodly amounts. People really underrate her. She's Klee... but with better animations, better range, and Constellations that make her even more comfy to use.
@@TheJH1015 She has all the odds stacked against her and she is still good. You'd expect a 4 star pyro catalyst hypercarry to be shit but that is quite the opposite with Yanfei

Yanfei took over as one of my main DPS. I still love playing with her from time to time. I also reached friendship level 10 with her by just playing with her and not so much from the teapot. ❤

It's nice to see that everyone's favorite deer lawyer is still pretty good to use even after all these years. And the fact that she's very versatile and what you can ever do really makes her a very good character to want to try out unless you don't have her C4. Plus she's a sweetheart which infinitely makes her a great lawyer that you would have by your side like man her VA is super good. Overall another fantastic guide Sevy and at least Yanfei doesn't have to worry about either being in a not romance with a VERY Indecisive guy or forced to be stuck in a virtual world where she can't leave and is a jester girl. Totally not referencing 2 things at all but again great job!
My yanfei is triple crowned ❤ I love catalysts and the pyro element is very strong. I didn’t realize how few people have her built, she’s really fun to play and is surprisingly versatile with c4! I think my favorite thing about her is the reduced stamina with the seals up, it REALLY makes a difference with ease of gameplay especially as a charged-attack focused catalyst.
Yanfei is probably the best 4 star on-field DPS in the game, but 5 star DPS characters are just better. I used to play her when I was a new player and she was so much stronger than anyone else. But then I got HuTao and completely forgot about her lol. Watching this video makes me feel nostalgic and almost makes me wanna use my Yanfei again
HuTao is not better. Her main attack is not elemental. She needs to rush characters with her fire that she actually has to turn on after delays. Yenfai can just shoot fire all day like a machine gun causing interactions without having to proc anything. No need to switch. No need to be dependent on her burst. Yeah you got it backwards lol.😮

As a Yanfei main it brings me joy to see an updated guide and her getting some love and attention again. She was my first dps from day 1 and is still my go-to dps for anything non-pyro-related. Currently my only triple-crowned character, I hope she gets on a banner soon so I can finally get c6.
Well time to try and build Yanfei. I just went from no Yanfei to C6. 6 from Kazuha banner and one standard banner one. Now to hope I get at least one Xingqiu. (the one I didn't get out of the 90 wishes I saved. 2 Barbara's and a Beidou instead is what I got.) OH well loved how you explained her. I'd love if you made more of these guides.
Yanfei carried me throughout my Genshin gameplay. She is still my main DPS at C6. Love her, she deserved love. Plus, she can be for Charged DPS, Shield Support and a Burgeon Support. A decent strong 4 ⭐ Genshin has ever made.
Thank you for this! After Chevreuse's release I was looking for info on playing her with Yanfei. While I originally pulled Yanfei to help me deal with those pesky Eye of the Storm dailies early on, she became one of my favorite characters and I now play her regularly in co-op.
If you're trying to use her with Chevy I suggest a full EM Raiden. The reason it's so nice is because her coordinated attack will always hit after your fire causing it to overload for very consistent 16K damage especially if you use Raiden with a dragon's breath. The final character can be any pyro or electro because raiden won't really need any energy.
I'm glad to see someone finally making an updated guide for her and giving her some love. I've been using Burgeon Yanfei with Nahida, Dendro Traveller and Xingqiu for a while now, and it makes for a pretty solid combo. It's obviously not the most meta team, but it can still clear Abyss floors pretty well.

I have had my Yanfei for years now and I have only built her during the release of Chenyu Vale out of boredom. Surprisingly, she's really strong and I prefer her over Diluc and Klee.
Yanfei is my OG main and, though I have other pyro carries now, I still use her a lot in the overworld! I like playing her with Yelan, Albedo and Zhongli, because the geo resonance is very comfy, and I'm recently having a blast pairing her with Chevreuse, Raiden and Thoma for some fun explosions. Yay! An updated Yanfei guide! She part of my favorite team along with Yae Miko, Layla and Kuki. When Chevruesse came out I switch out Layla for her and it's been a blast (literally).

Much appreciated she’s my first DPS and favorite pyro and still using her two years later against some domains or bosses, I was struggling between building her as shielded or build Xinyan and I went with later for friendship farm with Yoimiya.
for a less premium double Hydro Vape team, you can use Candace instead of Yelan. Yes the Hydro application Candace gives doesn't really do any damage (and Yanfei does NOT get the Hydro infusion from Candace's burst), but the Hydro application is consistently timed (at 2.3 second intervals) AND Candace's burst buffs the elemental damage of Yanfei's Normal Attacks quite a bit. It's not the best pure damage team, but in terms of F2P-friendliness it can do pretty nicely.
She has been my go-to main DPS since I started playing Genshin. Her normal attack range is exceptional and her damage is pretty decent for a 4⭐️. Plus, getting her constellations really makes her gameplay better without making her an incomplete character at C0
Omf yes !! I love her so much !! I really wanted to get Chevreuse for her since I play overload Yanfei, but I couldn't sacrifice my guaranteed. I'll be patient So happy to see an updated guide 🙌

Thank you for your guides, Sevy! I watch every video of yours, even the Honkai ones (although I don't play Honkai and have no idea what you are talking about). You can narrate water pouring from a faucet for 5 hours and I would still watch.
forgot to mention the Maiden Beloved shield support build. its super useful for people who want a shielder and healer for furina(the weapon has to be prototype amber). works surprisingly well
I have a couple of five star DPS characters that have more complicated playstyle or require more investment which is why I always come back to Yanfei due to how easy and comfortable she is to use. I had recently got Neuvi’s signature weapon and Furina and she’s much more powerful now. I cannot count how much she’s saved me in some difficult contents. I also enjoy how some patches gave me more options to play her. When Sumeru came along, I used her as burgeon trigger and now that Fontaine is here, she’s powerful with Furina. I’m excited how I’ll be able to play her with new changes in the future.
Thank you for the updated guide! I usually use her as shielder and healer for lyney but i also want to try using her as dps because she looks fun to play fortunately i have good hydro units for her. I just need a good artifact for her and level up her talents.
What!!! This guide outta no where 😮 She is literally my fav pyro character I use her with furina and mono pyro I have her at c5 for so long and will finally get her c6 😩
She was one of my first 4 stars and she was my main DPS for all my AR leveling up to end game. I still use her since I'm not a fan of XL and she works well as a fire unit for me. I'm always partial to "caster' types and she was the char that seemed most.. "hurl fireballs at enemies" type.
I have been using Yanfei as my go-to Pyro DPS for quite a while. It does take a while to learn the arc of her attacks and the art of "running and gunning". However, it was well worth building her and she is one of three characters I have currently assigned crowns to.
Yanfei is still my only pyro DPS- everytime I look at all the hydro 5 stars I have and wonder why pyro 5 stars never appeal to me I remember my C6 Yanfei 😎 When Chevreuse got announced I realised that my main comp was accidentally overload and the stars aligned to make my Yanfei even more powerful.
She's also very good in the new Chevreuse team template, she doesn't care too much if mobs are send flying to oblivion with overload as her normal and charge attack have a very good locking system. I like pairing her with Fischl C6, the fight becomes a fireworks that would make Yoimiya proud !
Fun fact: The seal left on the ground from Yanfei's charged attack is considered a physical construct (not a geo construct) and can be used to trigger pressure plates.
Been main-ing her since I got her back when I first started in 3.8! And she is awesome! No doubt selecting her for my 4* selector during Lantern Rite. High time to C1 her...too difficult to draw her in both Standard and Limited banners
