Michael Stewart, MD, a professor of ophthalmology in the Department of Ophthalmology, at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, shares insights from his article appearing in the August 2024 issue of MCP:IQ&O, where he and the co-authors researched and reviewed the literature on age-related macular degeneration to highlight some of the important issues for physicians such as management of risk factors and determining symptoms that require further evaluation and referrals to ophthalmologists.
