The modern precon power level is such a fun and healthy level for the format to be at, my play group always has great games at this level and every has a good time because the decks always pop off and you get to do what the deck was designed to do.

I agree. Before, the precons were harder to upgrade with cards because most of the pieces were more than most people wanted to spend on. I think my main complaint is not included budget duels more often since they are common and not shocks or triomes. As far as commander masters goes, for the price its being asked for, my hope is that they have some powerful builds even if they aren't expensive reprints in the main deck

King, this is the Commander/Deck that got me interested in the game but when I was planning to buy I learned it was really outdated so I never ended up building it. But now this has got me interested in trying again.

are you sure you can sac something with dreadfast demon and then bring it back with meren? I thought since both effects trigger ar the same time, meren has to immediately choose a target (since her effect says target), so the creature has to be in the yard before dreadfast gets to sack something. am I wrong here?

Really good deck, but I do not believe it sets out to do what it was intended, that being a modern day precon. Yes, precons are way more focused than they used to be, even from just from decks 3 to 4 years ago, but they're not this focused.

I beg to differ - this and other current precons have single focus with a few outliers and deviations at signposts of alternate builds, and I think this one points to paths around Aristocrats and Reanimator that Meren naturally allows a precon to divide both ways. Almost like she was BUILT to lead a precon...
