Thank you very much! This is a very helpful video. I've been looking for this information for a long time to get a deeper understanding of Project but no one has mentioned the "Inactivate" tool yet. Thank you God for giving me light! That's so great! Wish you always happy to receive this message from the Vietnamese community of civil engineers. Glad to see you update and share more useful videos in MS Project in the future. The Vietnamese community of construction engineers always supports you. Good luck!
Great presentation. Well done and clearly explained. I cam here for a refresher and learned more useful information about updating my project than I did in any course!
Sir I have a query..suppose an activity is 40% completed and due to pandemic it has to restart with new start date for the remaining 60% balance work. And total duration of the activity is 10 days. So based on that with new start date the balance duration should be 6 days from the new start date. M not getting this result by retaining 40% completion ..kindly help..ty
task 4 has a SS relationship with 3, which means , 3 must start before 4 can start. Is it right to have update actual progress on 4 without even 3 starting.
Hello, Is it possible to assign a task to a resource with variable allocation % eg Task is assigned to Resource1 who is allocated say 100% in Jan, 30% in Feb and 50% in Mar considering 8 as working hours/day?
Updating Actual Finish Dates : Does this set task to 100 % ? Updating Actual work and remaining work : Is this a prudent option? If your developer keeps coming back every day telling you there is still so much work pending, your forecasts will keep moving. Any links to the slides, please ?
setting actual finish dates will set task to 100% Updating Actual/remaining work is a common option if your not using time sheets. It gives more insight into how much work is going on and how much is left to do! so yes forecasts will keep moving such as the real world!! :)
