Just wanna make it Clear for the Terminologies and Non Mecha Fans -the Ether Reactor is the Powersource -the Magius Engine is the Motors for the Joints and Limbs Ernesti basically recreated the The CPU Commands of the Motor and all Calculations were done on the fly

I think there's a correction, Ether Reactor is correct, Magius Engine is not a Motor, it is the so called "CPU". The reactor came from the heart of the beast. And the Magius engine is a block shaped box that looks like a black box of an airplane. Although half right it controls the functions of the unit's movements. If you read the novel, you'll know the darker side of the Magius Engine's source. www

Honestly I love this series so much. It's not some masterclass of storytelling or anything but it's so genuine in knowing what it is. It's purely a series written by someone that loves the idea of piloting giant mechs and you can feel the love of the genre. It's pure fanservice for giant robot fans and I love it.

Oh absolutely, the other manga's made by the same author of this series has a love for mixing fantasy with sci-fi or just robot stuff in general like that one shot of Elves being Mecha made by a man obsessed with them (and then he turns himself into one via mind upload lol)

they skip a lot of how the mecks work they have 3 levels the external(armor) the tissue(muscles) that is what they are fixing and the skeleton and even had something similar to blood. the meck is more biological that what they show is more similar to an eva from neon genesis evangelion.
