Upgrade the Dillon RL550 to Dillon RL550C

Nice video with some light hearted comedy to break it up. Well executed for the upgrade process, not that I have updated my 550B.

Suggestion if you ever redo this, call out the hex head and other wrench sizes that you use in each step.

Looks very straightforward, thanks. The only upgrade kit I find on the Dillon site says 450/550C. It appears that you need that one and the separate crank upgrade kit? Or is the complete kit for the 550 not on the site?

Like my 550B just as it is. If it ain't broke, don't keep fixing it until it is.

Lemme see: how much for an easier machine to lube? Not to go faster, make ammo better? No, just to make it easier to lube. Oh yeah, and to pay Dillion a bunch of money! LOL 13:56

Do the new BL 550s come with this frame and linkage?

Is the zerk fitting already been obsoleted for needle holes in the end of the shaft!

You need to throw that adjustable wrench away, & use proper spanners!!

Why not sell the old RL550 and buy brand new 550c? You just threw away the old unit. I have the RL550 and Love it. God only knows how many bullets it reloaded. Love Dillon, but this upgrade is ridiculous .

Be sure you get those arms placed correctly!! The camera is not placed well to confirm when Gary puts them on. Figured out I put them on incorrectly after tightening them. Impossible to remove one of the bolts with out a wrench. Destroyed the new pin with teeth from wrench. Now handling Dillon another $70. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Did Gary mention cost for kit? If so I missed that

What parts (part numbers) do i need to load 284 winchester on a dillon xl750? Ive emailed Dillon a few times but never heard back? 284 is not listed on the Dillon conversion chart. Im hoping its the same as 308, but with a different case feeder adapter and powder funnel?

I need the item numbers and cost to do this upgrade please advise

I can’t see this upgrade being worth the time and money it costs to do, just for lubrication purposes.

I own the RL550B and have been lusting for zerk fittings. I contacted Dillon for a "kit" number. They sent over a message"... item #18275 for $60.00 before tax and shipping". Please note this is only for the lower bell crank and pins and does not include the "C" frame and upper pivots.

The kit cost about as much as my 550 but she is almost 40 years old

Can the RL550C reload 30-06 rounds ? Looking to buy one and need to reload 30-30 and 30-06 . Thanks
