WARNING NOTICE: in the video, I forgot to show that I transfer the o-ring from the stock charge pipe onto the new charge pipe. The large black rubber o-ring from the stock pipe will need to be installed over the silver end of the new pipe before re-installation on the car. If this step is skipped, the car will throw a check engine light.
@@TheFlexxGarage Any sort of tease or hints as to what to expect for future engine mod videos? Wonder if you're going to up the boost since you upgraded the charge pipe!
Oh yeah perfomace mods 😛, new pipe seems fatter more air , I do wish that our cars came with just an old school intercooler I'm unfamiliar with our type
I wouldn’t wanna go back. This engine setup is way more efficient and responsive. There’s less piping and everything is closer together. Every time I put it into sport mode, car drives like a different beast. The turbo lag is so much less noticeable. Not like the 204 where is just allows the rpms to go higher prior to shifting.
@@TheFlexxGarage the whole piping things I dint even think of that, I just took off my BOV spacer thingy it was retarding my turbo it sounded cool but yeah no bueno
@@702xRyder omg bro mee tooooo!!! i had Weistec bov and it made me a bit slugger but people in my car community loved it.. they were sad to see it off my car :(
I'm very new to this turbo stuff. I'm following your vids as I have a c200 as of last week. I have purchased a diverter valve already. I want to upgrade the intercooler pipes and charge pipes too. My question is, on the charge pipe you have a smaller pipe connected near the front. I dont have that on mine. What is that pls?
Not sure. But the charge pipe comes with a screw plug for that hole for cars that don’t use that connecting pipe. The charge pipe is designed to be use on cars in the USA and outside the country.
FYI in your video you left out transferring the large OEM O-ring from the OEM charge pipe. I got this kit plus the turbo intake pipe from TT as well as the air intake and the GFB BOV. There are a lot of angles and other factors to accomodate for. Yes the charge pipe is ver straight foward but when doing all four there is a lot on in and out to get everything aligned perfectly including makes sure all your clamps are up the right way should you need to send it in to MB for some service. Their sales service is total shit. Very prompt replies but lazy answers. The guy is either too busy, lazy or just plain rude to answer the most basic questions. Products are fine. Appreciate your videos. The GFB BOV is amazing . Both response and sound.
You got the under boost error too? Brah I had that shit for a whole year , and eventually I got some wack o ring but with the pressure is not enough i had to buy the original peace just to get the o ring again. What’s your build like ? You got it?
Hey Flexx recently just installed a burger intake down pipe and a ECU tune. Was thinking of getting this pipe. Think it may be beneficial considering all the other mods I have. I have a 2018 C300 sport 4matic
Hey flex I got a question ...i got a c300 2015 I am feeling pressure out of only one muffler ....any ideas it's just back right side doesn't change in any other mode
I dont think I will. Had a long discussion about this with my wife. it's her car and she already hated the 19" wheels and how those ride even with stock suspension.
Did you not watch the video? Hahaha. I clearly said doesn’t give much Hp gain, it’s a basic mod and you’ll probably feel more responsiveness but it’s more about durability and helping to support big future mods make more power. Not every single engine mod makes horsepower. Nobody is gonna build up an engine only to have a plastic tube fail and ruin your engine. It’s the same story with an air intake. Doesn’t do much until you do more mods that requires the engine to breathe more.
hi flex, the have an issue with turbo that i heard like unstable sound coming from the air filter, the other issue that car very weak i take a time to reach 100 km i feel like turbo not working
@@TheFlexxGarage waiting on it! Just spoke to my mercedes dealer, praying that they wont charge me an arm and a leg, do you think the lights you got would be cheaper than going to mercedes?
Upgrading your factory headlights to any OEM Mercedes ones is going to be way too expensive if not impossible. I would recommend doing what Flexx did if his aftermarket lights are holding up; I bet he replaced it himself - plug & play
No cause there’s no point on this car. There’s no turbo to upgrade to and it will cost thousands to make one fit and make custom parts to support it. It’s not that simple as just swapping it out. There’s barely any room for any aftermarket. This is the time I would say if you want more power from a turbo….just spend the money and get a C43 or C63 that’s gonna be reliable.
1) brands are in the market to make money so they mark up the retail price 2) brands are in the market to make money so they use cheaper parts 3) brands are in the market to make money so they want parts to fail down the road so they can make money on service charges So yeah...the theme here is... ...We should walk.
you're not gonna hear the turbo more with anything you do. You can get more sucking sound from the intake with an aftermarket intake and a blow off sound if you installed an aftermarket diverter/blow off valve. You can install a turbo muffler delete and that will help give more noise of turbulent air coming out of the turbo...but again...there's nothing you can do to increase the "turbo" sound. The C300 is not a JDM car that has large turbos that makes crazy turbo sound.
Actually yeah you can make the c300s turbo sound louder, i went from stock box air filter to k&n and you CLEARLY hear the turbo more. And my guys 2016 base model c300 is pushing over 400hp on full bolt ons, meth and upgraded turbo from turbokits, faster then c63s lmao. You should hear how crazy that one sounds, not you average w205 c300
@@MrBg-yw7gv what your friend did it!! So then turbo kits is legit?! Thats a simple build. That's it im convinced. I'm doing the upgrades. Is that whp?
I was looking at the project gamma brand and says the car needs a tune after theirs is installed but then was looking at an FTP brand and it doesn’t mention it at all and is way cheaper thinking about going with that one but was curious if I should do a tune or it be fine after the install?
I would do sooo much if I had the funds or sponsors. I just can't because most of my cars are daily drivers and I have to think about resale value. Would be nice to just have a car I can go mod crazy on and take it to the drag strip or a autocross course.
No lie this is a ridiculous upgrade your not gonna notice it when summer Temps hit and by the time winter comes around thats already cold air unless this is a track/drag build your better off diverting your funds to tires
No lie...If you paid attention (which you didn’t).. I clearly said the benefits are colder air and durability over the stock plastic pipe and I also said a turbo charge pipe alone isn’t going to give a noticeable improvement. It’s still a good upgrade if an owner plans on doing more mods. Also, the extra durability alone is worth the upgrade when Mercedes plastic pipes are known to crack. Not every mod by itself on a car is gonna give massive power. They either are needed if an owner plans for more mods to make more power or there’s other benefits then just making power. Try not to be so negative and actually watch and pay attention next time.
