On this beauty.I popped in the Seymour Duncan Brandon Ellis Custom shop Dyad on the bridge and Custom Shop Standard spacing on the neck slightly hotter in the neck,5 way custom wiring with push/pull out of phase wiring for the neck pickup and split coil wiring,Gotoh Magnum locking Tuners with mother of Pearl buttons,plays and looks sick man keep shreddin’ ma man! #BUFFALO #NEWYORK
Cool guitar. I’m going to swap my Floyd special out for an original on my Dean from hell. I’m just waiting for the zinc parts to wear out first. I had some Floyd snobs tell me the special series was garbage when i first got it 3 years ago, but it’s holding up nicely. I beat the hell out of it too. Really the only reason im changing it is because i know the original is made of much better quality parts. Again, awesome guitar man. I love the color matching. Looks good.
@@user-py3cl5el4i Yeah, the biggest problem with the specials is when you tighten the strings up it’ll strip out of the saddle, on my son-in-law’s guitar we put German Floyd saddles on it and he’s been using it for four years and plays in the heavy thrash punk band and never had any trouble with it at all
Jackson Kelly with same issue, problem is, I've already destroyed 2 saddles, replaced them with steel ones from a licensed Floyd and I actually love this trem now... But I want the German one with upgraded tone block
The locking thread on my cheap floyd copy stripped as they do I plan on getting a german floyd but I've never intonated a brand new one. How long did it take? I assume you can't just mimic the original setup as it may be slightly different in distance
It’s not hard nor does it take long. But you can kind of “pre-set” them. You can look at where mine are set on this guitar and set yours in that same area and it’ll be close, you can adjust them from there . Don’t waste your money on a adjustment tool either you can use a small flathead screwdriver and push on the side of the saddle. Once you have the saddle screwed loose and do all adjustments that way.

You cannot keep a touring guitar in mint condition. You can claim that,....but it's just not the case. If a person is 60 years old,....it doesn't matter how well they took care of themselves. All the signs of hard life are they're. Wrinkles, arthritis, grey hair. It's because time is everything and everyones enemy. A "worn" well used and loved guitar is the most beautiful of all guitars. It's called mojo. You can't fake mojo. I understand what your claiming!!! But if you actually toured for years?? The guitars you used will show it. No matter what safeguards you put in place.

You must be new at this... the German Schaller made Floyd Rose and LockMeister use superior grade steel and have better machining than the Korean junk.
