Those torches look pretty sweet. Next time, help a fellow tech out and just put the drier on the outside of the condensing unit. It makes it way easier to trouble shoot a plugged drier. Or if you have to make a repair on the evap some day, it'll be much easier to replace the drier without taking the whole unit apart again.

Hey Teddy one thing I would recommend is lifting the dryer up a little bit off the pan the metal dryers rust out quick

Yup Ambro torch set is solid .....only thing is the oxygen tank runs out fast. The cost of the refill oxygen is expensive.

Great video once again bro! Those things are cool but it’s still too much. I use a small MC (acetylene) tank with a turbo torch A-11 tip. It’s the smallest, lightest and most simple set up for residential and light commercial work. You can braze up 1-5/8” with it.

@@realSamAndrew Too much stuff. You have to buy their special oxygen too. It’s just complex for no more than it does. I don’t know how much it costs but I guarantee you can buy a small MC tank or two and an acetylene turbo torch for less. Then you only have to replace one tank. It’s just easier and lighter to use straight acetylene.

@@IceWhiteice22 I never said it was about price. I said it was too much. Meaning too many moving parts and things to replace. If you read the rest of my comment you’ll see what I use and why I use it. Still lighter, simpler and probably cheaper. I don’t even know what one of those costs.

Tadd ..what do you think about these aluminium condenser coils. These were introduced a few years back . probably manufactures were working on cost cutting. But most of these were a failure. Now manufactures are switching back the copper coils. Can these aluminium coils be repaired?

I prefer my Smith torch... But I was very shocked in the way you removed the liquid line dryer.... you can't be out here teaching the wrong way to the next generation... You should always cut out the dryer... Keep up the great content...

There's no room in between one side of the filter dryer and the liquid line service valve to cut it out. How would you even get a set of tubing cutters in there?

Hard to believe an aluminum micro-channel coil is leaking :( Just kidding. Changed out a flat York coil on a commercial RTU 3 times in one year. Still a little salty when I see one.

Filter driers do not like heat. I wrap mine with a wet rag. I would have sanded the pipe down and slide the drier on and wrapped it with a wet rag and finished the job. Some people use heat paste instead of a wet rag.

I bought Pioneer mini split - will you replace my Senville if I bring my travel trailer to you? Am in Michigan right now. All these hvac techs - such experts - mention RV and their brain implodes. What should such an install cost anyway?

Disposable oxygen cylinders will quickly cost more than than refillable welding oxygen cylinders. The injector style torch is neat and of course would run off any appropriate regulated gas source.
