Yes it will work on your Pit Boss I do recommend getting the full kit to upgrade to our higher quality components for the best results.

my pitboss 340 already has a 2 rpm auger motor so do i need just the controller or still the entire kit?

Upgrading to this PID is the best thing i did to my Traeger. It keeps the temps perfectly and saves me pellets once it reaches temps. Customer service is very good. Thanks Dennis!

The pellet Pro PID controller will fit on many pellet grills. If you have a horizontal Mount controller you may have to do a little cutting in order for it to mount vertically. If you'd like to find out if it fits your particular grill call 847-336-1329

This is the coolest controller in the world. I used to have to constantly monitor the temps which would swing 50-75 degrees in my pit boss pg. Now it's like set it and forget it. Truly awesome!!! If anybody is on the fence with purchasing the controller, BUY it!

GunNtonic I just bought a pitboss 820 and used their brand apple pellets. Smoked ribs at 225. Once temp dipped below say 220 it would sky rocket up between 275-325....then slowly creep back down. First I thought it was the pellets but I just recently found a lot of people talking about huge temp swings.

Hey guys. Just came to watch the video because I am considering the upgrade to PID. I gotta tell you, I just about flipped when I saw my "Reefer Madness" smoker on your promotional banner. Love it! I couldn't be happier that you thought my smoker was nice enough to represent Smoke Daddy for use as a promotional image. Everybody just goes nuts and thinks that my fridge smoker is very innovative and it is the coolest thing they've laid their eyes on. I hope your customers feel the same and get inspired to build a smoker. Thanks guys. Looking forward to purchasing the PID controller soon.

Y didn't u just make the wires on the controller the same color as on the unit so they would match up ?

Every pellet grill out there has different color wires. We do send a wiring diagram along to tell you what component goes to what color wires

How do i find if auger is 2 rpm and do I need to replace fan and burn pot while changing out controller.

In most pellet grills the auger are a 1.5 RPM with less amperage. We do recommend using our higher amperage components for the best results.
