I think they are a great addition as they provide an edge for solo pvpers and mission runners without compromising fleet encounters. As it currently stands there is a lot of null sec content people miss out on, but I can't fault people for wanting to stay in high/low security. I think they need to adjust the crafting chance % to be higher for something that can't be traded, but I don't have enough manufacturing experience to comment about it. Another great video 07
Did you try to study the 4th, the 5th and the 6th additional attributes at the purple nanocore? As I know, it requires new type of resources for training, which are not just rare but also non traidable (triangular spheres or something).
Other then not having the ability to choose the secondary I want after spending all those points and isk farming the mats to level secondary traits Im loving the Nanocore concept and main stat buff it gives to non pirate ships, it breaths some life into otherwise looked over ships Im having a ton of fun in my Hurricane which ive custom painted into a silver and black star destroyer with purple neon lights. Shes at 1000 dps with only damage rigs and is able to tank low sec stories with invaders no problem!
Hi Benzie, Can I just ask in case you checked, if you get a nanocore back through insurance, does it keep the same secondary stat upgrades as it had before you got destroyed?
If you click on one of the second stats attribute in the details another window open where you see what you can get stat wise and at wich percent rate.
I quite like the nanocores in theory and practice. It’s pretty cool to get tangible benefits when messing around with how your ship looks. It’s also pretty cool that there is now a reason to “observe” an opponent’s ship if you have a chance to get an idea how well it’s been upgraded. I’m not big on how rushed the feature feels. There’s items to reroll the secondary stats on tier I & II nanocores, yet none of those nanocores have secondary stats. Some ships have access 3 tier III purple nanocores (Armageddon) while some have access to none (Typhoon). I also don’t like how smaller ships were treated with this system. No cruiser or below was given a tier III nanocore (bar some stripminers). Eyeballing it, the nanocore cost for a frigate is 1/2 that of the equivalent one for a battleship. I think that’s way too high and will unfortunately mean that cruiser, destroyer, and frigate pilots will have to wait awhile for the market to saturate with Experimental Data before getting into the system.
6:10 I'm assuming this discussion also applies to drone boosts also? Like Drone EM damage, if it doesn't do that damage it's also worthless? By the way I'm curious why the picks for purple nanocores are so little and that they oddly added the procurer and covetor.
I won a combo omega pack and a dawn skin a couple months back and am wondering if that’s gonna come in? No rush just wanna make sure I’m not forgotten. If guardians got more powergrid that would free up an engineering rig slot making them even more fun to fly.
They currently do not check if the skins you have access to are permanent, so activating a 15-30 day skin will allow you to use that as a basis for your nanocore appearance. Forgive me if this was already mentioned, mobile app doesn't like comments after a small amount.
I got a few questions: 1) can nanocores be removed, if so how? 2) what does the triangular structure nano source III do which is located in the new eden store?
I'm enjoying the nanocores and am anxiously awaiting drone nanocores. How would you feel about nanocores or some other mechanic that allows for reinforcement of shield/armor/hull, so you take more or less damage depending on where you get hit. I think that and more ui control over orbit direction and plane would add a lot more tactics and game play style than just adding more numbers
@@captainbenzie sorry lol I didn't put that right. I meant like taking more or less damage depending on where your ship is being attacked from, example taking 80% damage from the front but 120% from behind.
Hopefully we'll not have to wait too long for industrial ship nanocores, which leads me to think there needs to be another way to obtain Concord Credits within the game in the future..
Thank Goodness I found this. Was busting my head over nanos and it was too painful to figure out myself especially with the crappy condor breeze skin giving Turret bonuses (I thought I had done something wrong there)... The wordy descriptions and jargony names do not help one bit. Thanks for simplifying this and putting in the effort to bring it - cohesively to us cap...
Hey benzie What rev engineering skills affect the nanocores construction chance? Is the new dead skill, the relevant pirate skill or the main faction skill?
I need to reset a blue tungsten.. can you use a level three or does it have to be level 2? I can't find any level 2 in the store or anything only three.
I love these, but I feel like they could have been better. I also don’t see why they need ship specific cores, why not just have storm cores for each ship size? I’d also have loved to see something that more improves with you playing, so a pvp core that improves your stats whilst you remain unbeaten or based on a number of kills in the last hour. Something that highlights you as on a killing spree such as a red glow to your ship and maybe even highlights you in local as someone to be feared.
Dear Captain benzie, I'm a big fan I have a question about cores, a trained purple core, will it stay trained when you lose it? No one can answer that.

Are the skills needed to increase your chances with making Nanocores the same as when making blueprints? Ie: To increase the chance of making a Serpentis Nanocore you need to train "Serpentis Invention Principles." And for getting the supplies to make them need to train "Scrap Metal Processesing"?
Do we need skills to reverse engineer those nanocores? If yes then why would ever an indy player speced into those skills need a t3 nanocore that will just stuck with him forever, which he can't even give to his alt
Basically already have built in Nanocores, they're leagues stronger then standard counterparts in damage and hp already, any more buff would tip them into overpowered
@@captainbenzie would it make it more worthwhile if faction nanocores got to chose 2 main traits? Considering the fact the interceptors at t8 and t10 will also get nanocores or just a stat buff and nanocores
Then people say pay to win they are right, and your comparison to someone who dont have skills is bad, as you can simply compare those who have skills and ave money to those who just have skills. And in this game you can buy anything even skill point, so it is pay to win game.
